The pizza here is great. The style could hang with Portland's pizza scene. What keeps my family coming back is their gluten free crust. It's rare to have a gluten free anything that has both taste and texture of a full gluten item. The gluten free pizza at Oak City is nearly indistinguishable from their standard pizza crust. It's light and fluffy, with an exceptional crunch. We have yet to have a bad pie here. read more

Absolutely delightful pizza and delightful people. I thoroughly enjoyed every bite of my pizza right down to the crust. I loved the tender, crispy bottom of the dough along with the crispy, puffy crust. Lots of pizza places don't have the technique for this style of dough here (Neapolitan), instead opting to make an arguably easier crust that has a thick bottom with a crunchy (not crispy) crust that lacks large air bubbles. While there's hardly any wrong way to do a pizza, I love the style of pizza dough this place chose. If I had to choose between Empire Slice (New York Style) and Oak City Pizza (Neapolitan) , I would choose Oak City every time. They told me their other location in Deer Creek has Detroit Style pizza, so I'll have to give that a try. read more

Local pizza pie shop proprietors are on the cusp of something great at Oak City Pizza. I'm delighted they've parked their pizza oven in Edmond Railyard...it's a great addition to the Railyard neighborhood! As they begin to get their footing parked in one place, there's a lot to love and so much to potentially look forward to... LOTS-o-LOVIN': Their PIZZA CRUST is chewy on the inside and crisp on the outside. It's perfect and delicious! Their TINY PEPPERONI and MIKE's HOT HONEY are flavor-full deliciousness! The STAFF are awesome! They are all in for making your pizza dreams come true. With the staff behind this place, no telling what pizza pleasantries are to come. PERFECTION in PROGRESS: I wasn't in love with the sparseness of those delicious little pepperonis on my Angry Bee pizza. It reminds me of Neapolitan style pizza, but somehow that just wasn't what I was expecting. Had I been better informed, I would have ordered extra pepperoni on my Angry Bee pizza. I think some basil, even as an upgrade option, would be an excellent addition to this pie. I thought the Angry Bee was the upgraded pepperoni pizza, higher cost, more pepperoni, I thought....just not the case. I was just left wanting more. (I'd be happy to pay more to get more.) Same goes for my .50 cent side of house made ranch felt more like a .25 cent side of ranch. The crust was yummy dipped in it, but the container was only 1/2 full and it wasn't enough to get me through the crust on my pizza. The good news is, it's an easy fix. The more you know.... Their current beverage game is underwhelming. Single use plastic bottle options + no carbonated hoppy adult options at this time #newbiestruggles #wheresthedraftat. In the future, as they continue to grow, I'd love to see them partner with Stubborn Sodas and a local brewery or two for some better draft options (be sure to get the eco-friendly plastic cups, friends). --- All-in-all, there's a lot to look forward to in this little-pizza-place-that-could. Excellent! We had the garlic knots and the Detroit style pizza. The texture of the garlic knots is perfect - crispy, chewy in all the right ways! The garlic butter on top is so delicious you don't really even need the accompanying red sauce. Though it was delectable as well. We also had the spicy meat Detroit style pizza. It was excellent! The crispy, cheesy edge pieces were perfect. Everything was delicious. The service was super; everyone was kind and helpful. I've been to this location in Edmond before, but it's been quite a while. I really liked their pizza when they first opened. This time when I went, the pizza had changed. The crust is flavorless, the sauce tastes like canned sauce, with a metallic flavor. The crust was also not crisp like it used to be. I put it in the air fryer when I got home and it never did crisp up. I got the angry bee and it was ok. I found the crust and sauce ruined it for me. The toppings were good though. Pretty good craft pizza with quality toppings. Neapolitan in style, wood-fired which I usually love. But the amount of those black charcoal touches of smoky goodness are inconsistent here. You might get a pie with too much black, or almost none. Crust is very thin with good flavor, but a bit too chewy imo. Toppings are sparse. Their margherita had too many bites that were all tomato sauce. A very good tangy tomato sauce at that, but the mozzarella pieces were very small (and hard), and they opt for no tomato slices. I can eat a 10" all by myself, so they aren't all that filling. Overall it just could be better. Prices may seem a little high, but are average for the quality. Mondays are $5 for 10" margherita pizzas. I'm not sure why they don't expand that or do a similar deal for the entire pizza menu. Get the buzz out and people following you on social media. I do love the building, but I have yet to eat inside due to the pandemic. But not having a soda fountain is ridiculous. They did also screw up my order this past visit so I had to wait for them to cook me a new pie. They barely acknowledged my extra long wait. They surely have potential. But it's been a 3 star experience so far. read more

We ate lunch here yesterday. It was our first time to try Oak City Pizza. Oh my goodness it was delicious! We had the meat pizza...pepperoni, sausage, bacon with hand tossed crust. The crust was crispy and chewy with a slight char...I loved it! The pizza was really hot from the oven...lots of gooey cheese. Can't wait to go back! Their food truck came to our neighborhood a few weeks ago. My husband got the sausage i got the cheese. Something about this pizza is super addicting! They weren't greasy and their dough was absolutely divine. This pizza tasted so fresh and even though they were swamped with orders they managed to be so organized and revolving in their process. As a vegan I wanted to like this restaurant, since they have vegan cheese, but it's too early. Three is average, not a bad thing but of course, everyone wants to be all 5's. I think they can eventually be all 5's, but they're not there yet. This restaurant is in the rail yard which is a new building with restaurants, ice cream, etc. The big garage door at the end was open and it was cold. There needs to be a They have some awesome toppings. And are fair and will let me sub ingredients. And overall it's good. But because I had Daiya cheese my crust was soggy. There needs to be a way around this (it could have been the pineapple too.) Whatever is causing this should be corrected. Another issue is they have a very limited selection of soda pop in single use plastics. I'll come back in 4-6 months and update this review. read more

Meh. 3 stars is generous, but allow me to elaborate. Overall very middle of the road. We ordered a 14" Quad and cheese bread. The pizza itself was alright taste wise. What's weird is it was doughy; this is odd since it's so thin, I think they were in a hurry. Looking at other reviews, this must a regular thing. The cheese bread however straight up sucks. It had zero flavor, and almost no cheese. Hard pass for anyone on the fence. If this was maybe half the price I'd be happier with it, but for $17 for essentially a medium thin crust pizza, there are faaaar better options. Think All American Pizza but twice the price... I don't see this place being around long. read more

Oak City's pizza is worth driving from Bethany to get! Besides being in a fun location, the Railyard, the taste is extraordinary! We gave it a good trial with their Meat Pizza, Pepperoni Pizza, Cheese Pizza and Cheese Bread (yes, we love cheese). We called ahead to cut down on our waiting time, and Seth had our food ready when we got there. Although not much has been advertised about gluten-free crusts, they are available. I was told each dough-ball, or crust, has 124 carbs and 500 calories. read more

Oak City Pizza puts pizza first and foremost...and it shows! Their small menu focuses just on pizza, so you know they make the effort to do it right! The custom pizza oven cooks hot and fast...90 seconds will make a perfectly charred crust with a chewy interior, while creating bubbly cheese and blistered toppings. I like that every pizza is a personal 10" portion (with options to upgrade to 14"), so you have just enough for a meal. At a $9-14 price point, I think it's fair for the quality you get. The Edmond Railyard is a cool venue because you can eat inside (~6-8 tables) or carry out onto the patio and enjoy the pizza with a drink. This is a great addition to downtown Edmond! While I want all businesses to succeed, I hope this gives a little advice for that to happen. 1) if someone orders to-go make sure you give them all the items they paid for so they don't go home and realize they're missing an item; 2) your staff needs to be adequately trained, clearly they're new and need some training after todays experience and should look rattled and confused on what to do and how to do it over 3 customers in line; 3) your pizza shouldn't be wet and soggy in the middle... I think this is the worst pizza I've ever had, or close to it. I wanted to throw up after taking a bite to find the bottom of the pizza wet and falling apart. Yes, it was mushy and wet and looked like it sat in water...I'm not sure how you fix this but so gross ; 4) lastly, I tried a cake, it's in the trash after one bite bc I'm 90% sure it's expired or at the very least has been chemically enhanced bc that was not what cake of any kind should taste like. I deeply regret my decision to drive 40 min round trip to try this place and waste $15 & I know this is a new store so I hope for the best for you, and hope things get better bc after all it can't get worse so it's only up from here. I always get a bit skeptical when ordering delivery from a wood fired pizza place. Ordered the Angry Bee with a side of garlic cheese bread. Delivery via DoorDash was easy and took a reasonable amount of time. I was really pleased to see the pizza and bread (on the same pizza crust) were both completely intact, hot and crispy. Both were well cooked with an excellent crust. Pizza sauce and toppings on the pizza were really nice. I enjoyed it so much, I ordered it again for lunch the following day. This time a pepperoni with onion and basil and a side of the hot honey sauce. It was perfect. Well done!
