Where to start...very slow getting food out - another table seated next to us, after we had ordered got their meals the same time we got our salads. One of the salads in my party had very large pieces of lettuce (2x6 inches) and when mentioned to the server we were told, "I will bring you a to go box to take it home and tear it up." My pizza, yardbird, had good flavor, but was marginally hot when brought out, thin crust was not crispy, and needed more sauce - it was kinda dry. Never were we asked how our meal was. I ordered my pizza online. It was expected to be ready 90 minutes after I placed the order. I showed up to the store to pick the pizza up at the estimated time. Due to all of the to go parking slots being full, I parked about a block away and walked into the store. I went up to the to go counter gave the lady my name and phone number to look up my order. She said they didn't have an order for that name or phone number. She asked if I could have used a different Name or phone number? I said, no, I only have 1 name and one phone. She then said I must have used a different name or phone number. I said I didn't she then asked if I got the email confirmation for my order. I told her I didn't see an email confirmation on my phone. I showed her the charge from Hideaway on my credit card account. She then said, for the third time, I must have used a different name or phone number and to have a good evening in a very dismissive tone. So, I left. On my way back to my car, I was scrolling through my emails And I found the email order for my food. So, I turned around and went back into the store. Another lady was behind the counter. I showed her my email receipt. That clearly listed my order, order number, and that I had ordered it from the correct Hideaway. I told her she could tell the girl that told me I used the wrong name or phone number to place my order (the name and phone number on the email confirmation matched the name and number that I gave her when I checked in) that she was wrong. This lady said her colleague was just trying to help me. I said, no she wasn't and I walked out. I will never go into that Hideaway again. Given, that Aj has been ordering food from that Hideaway on an almost weekly basis I figure that restaurant is going bro lose about $2500.00/yr from me. Every time I order food, it's between $48-56. I might suggest that the next time a customer shows up and their order isn't in your computer system and they show you a pending charge from Hideaway your next move isn't to suggest they don't know their name or number. Ordered here dine in on 5/3/25 with a friend. We split the garlic knots which were okay, and she had 'Da bomb' and she said it was good. I ordered the Paradise pie without the bacon due to religious reasons. I received the pizza and it very obviously had a few pieces of bacon in spots after asking my friend. The manager on duty came over and insisted that it was rang in no bacon and that the kitchen didn't put any. I would have gladly had it remade, but he was persistent about it not having bacon. My server was amazing and after coming over she saw the bacon as well. She took the pizza off my check since I didn't touch it which you would think the manager would do. Always a great stop for some of my favorite pasta and pizza. We had fried mushrooms, cheese sticks, chicken Florentine pasta, the Dagwood sandwich and pepperoni palooza. We waited 1 hr and 45 mins for an overpriced, salty, mediocre pizza that is comparable to Little Cesar's. My Italian ancestors are rolling in their graves with this greasy disaster. My boyfriend and I ordered two build your own pizzas (one gluten-free) and it was trash. The gluten-free tasted like cardboard (not sure if they use a frozen crust). The cheese and two cans of Olives on top slid right off. The regular pie, just as greasy with disproportionate amount of toppings. Please do better! I'm done searching for a good slice of pizza in Edmond, Oklahoma because I found it at Hideaway Pizza. Located in a relatively new complex on East Fifth Avenue across from Stephenson Park, Hideaway Pizza began as a mom and pop owned business based out of the college town of Stillwater, Oklahoma with the goal of providing good customer service in order to attain pleased customers that come back for more. The fact that they provide good quality pizzas served with no fewer than four different styles of pizza crust doesn't hurt either. I came to this location to Hideaway Pizza as I was visiting family in the area, and we were all famished and a member of the family suggested we go here for dinner since I had never been here before. Parking at their location on East Fifth Avenue was super easy to find, and upon entry to Hideaway one will notice that it's a very old school pizza joint here with two types of dining area, one with huge booths and another in front of their restaurant where the windows bring you natural light. This evening, our party of five sat immediately with no reservations and we sat in the back of their main dining room as they had a huge flat screen television playing sports on it, which added to the sports bar vibe of Hideaway Pizza. After looking at the menu at Hideaway Pizza, a member in my dining party suggested that we split a pizza from their Specialty Pizzas section of their menu were solid choices and I suggested that their Capone Specialty Pizza made with red sauce, mozzarella, Italian sausage, pepperoni, Genoa salami, smoked bacon, chopped red onions, black olives, roasted garlic, and their Parmesan herb shake. Everyone was on board and we decided to order a large 15 inch size made with their hand tossed crust to split. We also decided to split a few appetizers and their Famous Fried Mushrooms, which is their signature starter as they are made from scratch; and their Fried Pickles which were lightly breaded and spicy dill pickles served with a side of spicy chipotle sauce. We were presented with both appetizers in no time and our server was nice enough to bring out additional dipping sauces of ranch, marinara and chipotle to dip all of our fried goods into. The mushrooms were piping hot to the touch, which made them nice and crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside with each bite. The fried pickles were fun, as normally I'm not a huge fan of pickles but with these, I can certainly learn to become one. It did take a while for our pizza to come out which just goes to show how fresh everything is made at Hideaway Pizza. At first glance once our pie was placed on our table the abundance of ingredients were on each slice. And because of that, each bite of our Capone pizza was warm with flavor and heat thanks to the quality of meats and red onions and olives. We were so famished that after one slice each of us was done since we also scarfed down those appetizers in no time. This just gave us the opportunity to take home the rest of the pizza for home, which would be finished in no time. A return visit to Hideaway Pizza is automatic, as it is an affordable place for some truly wonderful pizza along with some really nicely prepared starters. The fact that they specialize in unique appetizers such as Baked Cheesy Mushrooms and Fried Raviolis only adds to the intrigue. The other specialty pizzas they feature on their menu such as the Cimarron and Chicken Florentine sounded absolutely wonderful and made my appetite salivate. While wait times are absolutely absurd (1.5hrs+), I must say the pizza is well worth the wait if you call ahead and place your order an hour and a half in advance vs. walking in to order. I was traveling into town and made our to-go order roughly an hour and a half out from the Edmond location. We arrived to a quick, already waiting for us, simple checkout. In and out in under 5 minutes! Customer service was attentive as we were greeted right away, helped soon after, and bid farewell by a few of the kind servers on our way out. So the problem with giving a chain a review is that by one goofing the rest get the bad rep. So I'll specify that the Edmond location is a hit and miss. Sometimes it's great and sometimes it feels like the kitchen staff is hung over. On the other hand, the OKC location has NEVER failed to deliver. Crust always crispy, even the veggie zza. Find myself visiting this location on pizza party nights, AKA: Friday and Saturday nights. They get super busy. Wait time commonly 45 mins to an hour. They don't take reservations, but order drinks as you wait--makes the wait more tolerable. Oklahoma's own Marshall Brewing Company has created an awesome German style beer called '57 ale exclusively for Hideaway. It's a great draft beer go to--quite a tasty paring with a pizza party. You can also use the NoWait app to shorten your wait time so long as your party size isn't larger than six. As other Yelpers have shared, order the fried mushrooms appetizer! They are delicious and have been known to convert mushroom haters to mushroom lovers. Don't forget the ranch! Two of us split the beginner's salad and it works great, especially if you're having those glorious fried mushrooms. Order your pizza on the classic thin crust--it's the best. Hideaway is an Oklahoma institution. I grew up near Stillwater, home to the original and the best existing location. People go to Stillwater just for the pizza and it's been FedExed everywhere. The mushrooms are famous. Not a breadcrumb batter. Succulent so soak em in ranch. Pizza topping options change with the times but the thin crust is the classic choice. I moved away 30 years ago so any trip home isn't complete until I've had some Hideaway. This review is based on the Edmond location. Mushrooms are the same, but the pizza isn't quite the same as Stillwater. I think the ovens are different. That being said, and I've also eaten at a downtown Oklahoma City location, Hideaway pizza from any location is distinctive and good. If you are visiting Oklahoma be sure to try the thin crust pizza and some fried mushrooms. read more

We were a party of 3 and were promptly seated back in a corner, with no issue. The restaurant was filling up quickly. As our food arrived a very large party of at least 25 or more began to fill the tables all around us. It got so congested our waiter could not even get to us. People were standing all around our table, and basically surrounding us, waiting for more chairs and staff to move tables around. It became very uncomfortable and this went on for a while. Hideaway has always been a staple in my family. We love love their pizza. The Al Capone and Paradise Pie are always our sure favorites. All Around the World (ATW...aka supreme) is something usually everyone loves. The atmosphere is always lighthearted and fun. The wait staff have always been so nice. Last night we went with our family and our waitress was beyond adorable and helpful. She helped my nephew with his rubik cube and even helped the other with the word search. I am usually not a high maintenance customer, but now that I am breastfeeding a baby who has a milk protein sensitivity I guess I am one now. I just was going to order their salad and some bread with some seasoning on top and she went back to the chef 3x to make sure there was not going to be any milk protein in it and where it will still taste good. And she delivered! The garlic oil bread was so delicious and hit the spot. So even though I couldn't have their amazing pizza, their salad and garlic bread were a hit for me.
