I've been coming to this office for about 10 years now and this is the dentist I wish I have had for my entire life. I can honestly say every visit has been a good visit. My wife and both of my kids are also patients and they've said the same things. Not once have I ever had a scheduling issue that couldn't be easily resolved. A great family owned dental office. I am usually in the area once a month for work and they have always accomodated by busy schedule. The office manager, Leslie (I think?), is very flexible and knowledeable on how to deal with my insurance. Never do I ever have any surprise charges or outrageous fees. They are honest, up front, and never try to sell you something you do not need. Dr. Tran is young and upcoming and can relate to the younger generation. You can tell by all his modern gadgets he uses. Plus, Dr. Tran is a product of the California Universities (as seen on the pic) so why wouldnt you root for him? My experience: 1) Relaxing Lobby Area 2) Very helpful staff (there are only 3 staff members including Dr. Tran so you really get personal care) 3) Very clean office (I notice they were always sanitizing everything). 4) I was able to see my xrays in like two minutes so I was in and out in a hurry. 5) Lastly, I know what I am getting and what I need is necessary. I don't write reviews frequently but this office is exceptional. I have been to quite a few different offices and had many different dentists. Most offices that I go to the dentist and staff are courteous. They do make you feel welcomed. But the one thing that separates Dr. Kevin is that there is quality in his work that you can feel in your mouth. His office is modern as you can see in the pictures and it shows with all the latest and greatest equipment. Being somewhat of a handy man myself, I can tell you that having the right equipment is at least 50% of the work. No matter how skilled you are, without the right tools, you are at a huge disadvantage. Now if you have the right tools and the adequate skills, this spells out success. I believe Dr. Kevin has the benefit of both of these aspects. All the work that I've done at Oak Dental has been nothing short of quality. Even their front office manager is very professional and makes you feel at home. Now if only they would offer me a soda while I am waiting that would be great. But I think that wouldn't be good for my teeth so I'll take that suggestion back. read more

to start with, the office manager, Leslie (who's also the Dentist' wife) is extremely sweet and flexible with filling in your appointment; Michelle, the technician is gentle and very nice as well; Dr. Tran is young, yet knowledgeable so it's comforting to know he's working on your teeth. I appreciate their new technologies (everything looks pretty high-tech) and the facility is extremely clean and new (especially the restroom!). It's also relaxing to have a TV to look at while they work on your teeth :-) Over all, I wasn't horrified to be at a dentist's office because everyone, especially Dr. Tran, made me feel comfortable and at ease. We also took our 4-year-old to see Dr. Tran and our son is still not afraid of having his teeth checked and cleaned! Yes, he's that good and gentle. read more

I wish I could give more than 5 stars! Dr. Tran and his staff are amazing! I found Dr. Tran using Yelp about 2.5 years ago and could not be happier. I felt compelled to let you know as well! I had a horrible experience at my previous dentist. They had scheduled my appointment for 4:30 pm, after waiting over 40 min for my appointment they tried to tell me that clearly I didn't understand that everyone wants an appointment after work and I'd have to wait. I wish I had left then. They they proceeded to shave too much off my tooth while doing a filling. I called Oak Dental so that I could get my tooth fixed. The experience has changed my viewpoint on dentists! Never, not once, in the two years I've been going have I had to wait in the waiting room even 5 min and all of my appointments are after work. Leslie is always a complete pleasure, she brightens your day each time. She also has an incredible memory! She noticed that I had gotten engaged and I hadn't been in the office for 6 months and had only seen her twice before. She has also sense remembered details of my wedding and is quite excited for me. I almost feel like I'm about to go to lunch with a dear friend rather than have my teeth examined. I didn't know this type of customer service existed anymore! The assistant (I believe her name is Michelle) is always quick and does a thorough job cleaning my teeth. They are always incredibly smooth and the experience is always painless. She even taught me how to hold the brush (yes, I'd been brushing wrong for 20+ years!) Next in comes Dr. Tran. He is also always pleasant and efficient. He's direct and to the point when there is an issue with my teeth. In the end you feel they respect your time and stay busy without you feeling rushed. I have never felt I was waiting on them. Even when there are other clients I feel like their number one and only customer. They have always been very flexible and knowledgeable on how to deal with my insurance and make sure that I'm able to get everything I need within my budget. They've even helped me get my teeth whitened for my wedding! Basically, I feel important to them when I go, they actually sincerely care about me and my teeth. I went to see Dr Tran a few years ago and have been meaning to leave a review. Every time i went in for a teeth cleaning Dr Tran would always find cavities and fill them. The strange thing about that is my previous dentist only found one in the 3 years that I went to him. Before him I hadn't been to a dentist in 10 years. Dr. Tran is a pretty nice fella. I got a cleaning and fillings replaced here and I have to say it was the best dental experience I've ever had. It was nearly painless (including the part with the shot) and my mouth felt incredibly clean. The staff are really helpful as well. I'm actually writing this review for my parents who aren't tech savvy but really wanted to show appreciation for their recent visit to Oak Dental. We happened to be near the area visiting family and my mom was complaining about her teeth that was recently fixed at another dentistry by their home. Our family member recommended this dentistry and we're very thankful that we came here. The dentist that previously worked on my mom's tooth basically made a bridge on "shaky" teeth and also appeared to not completely clean out the root area prior to performing the dental work. Dr. Tran showed my parents and I the x-rays and gave us our options without ever making us feel pressured about the decision. He explained all the steps involved for each option and informed us of the pros/cons even if we chose not to do it that day or at his practice. It's refreshing to get this type of honesty. All I can say is my mom is very happy to stopover here and get her teeth fixed. I checked with her a week later and she says there is neither any pain nor soreness. Ultimately, I'm very thankful for their professionalism and customer service. Another positive is that because we came here unexpectedly, we had my kids in tow. Thankfully, the office waiting room is very clean, roomy, and kid-friendly with toys, puzzles, and a large fish tank to keep their attention. If you are not absolutely thrilled with your dentist or if you are new to the area like I was, you owe it to yourself and your family to visit Oak Dental. When you call for an appointment you will speak with the office manager, Leslie, who is not only professional and knowledgeable but incredibly kind. She has also proven to be an expert in working with insurance companies. She gets authorizations quickly and she is always prepared to inform you of your financial portion. The fees are very fair and there is never a surprise. You also are never sold anything you do not need. First thing I noticed upon arriving was how nice the office presents - it is relaxing, clean and it doesn't smell like a dentist office! You are warmly greeted and immediately feel comfortable. Dr. Tran is very professional, friendly and I really liked that he listened to me. His equipment is state of the art - always a good sign. I have been very impressed with Dr. Tran's conservative approach. He makes long term preservation of your teeth a top priority as well as your comfort. He is also a perfectionist - a great quality in a dentist. Rochelle, his assistant, is obviously very knowledgable and she works well with Dr. Tran. You can tell he trusts her - another good sign. Their office being open on Saturdays makes it easy for me to be consistent with appointments for myself and my son. As much as I like Dr. Tran and feel confident with his expertise, the true test came when I wanted cosmetic work done. He has a state of the art whitening system in his office - good sign. To accomplish the look I wanted, the gap between my two from teeth needed to be closed and given a more natural look than my old veneers provided. I admit, I was a little nervous. EVERYONE sees your two front teeth and I tend to smile a lot. I cannot express how pleased I am with the results. My teeth are beautiful. Really beautiful. CHEAP, GREEDY AND CARELESS = BAD DENTIST I am in complete agreement with the other patient who gave Dr. Tran only a one star rating. I went to Oak Dental because I was looking for a dentist who is closer to my home than my former dentist and who also had good YELP ratings. BIG MISTAKE!! I suspect the good reviews and high ratings for Dr. Tran were probably written by either family members or friends. For decades I had two teeth with large fillings that had never given me any trouble. Dr. Tran told me that they both needed crowns. This raised red flags for me but because of time pressure with other events in my life I permitted Dr. Tran to begin work on these teeth. FIrst off, after he gave me one shot of novocaine he didn't check to see if the tooth was numb. He simply had me open my mouth and immediately began grinding away on the tooth. The tooth wasn't numb, the drilling hurt like hell and I had to make him stop and administer more novacaine. This why I believe that Dr. Tran is both careless and cheap. He tried to perform the procedure by giving me as little novocaine as he thought he could get away with (everything, including novocaine, has a business expense) and I think he was hoping to cut expenses by giving me as little novocaine as he thought he could get away with. And I have never before experienced a dentist who didn't first confirm that the novocaine had, in fact, numbed the area. Also, the crown was very rough along the base, he was ready to release me and I had to have him stop and smooth the roughness from the base. It still wasn't done as smoothly as other dentists had done with other crowns I received but he clearly was in a hurry to move on. Second, these teeth did not need crowns. Like I said, they had had large fillings in them for decades and my prior dentist (who is an excellent dentist ) kept an eye on them but always wanted to preserve as much of the original tooth structure as possible. I believe Dr. Tran viewed the large fillings as an opportunity to perform a couple of unnecessary $1,000 procedures, but that if he was scrutinized he could argue were valid dental procedures (as preventive dentistry to avert the teeth from cracking). I got by for decades without needing crowns on these teeth. This is why I believe Dr. Tran is greedy. He removed a lot of perfectly healthy tooth structure to install an unneeded crown. This was the last time that I was going to allow Dr. Tran to work on me. The day after Dr. Tran installed the crown I started experiencing pain in the gum around the tooth he worked on. After a month I went back to my prior dentist about the pain and he sent me to an endodontist. The endodontist determined that there was damage to the root of the tooth that Dr. Tran had worked on and confirmed that it was possible that Dr. Tran had traumatized the tooth - so now I need a undergo a root canal procedure. The tooth cleaning performed by Dr. Tran and his assistant was the most minimal I have ever experienced. They did no evaluation whatsoever about the condition of my gums and only scraped the tartar from a few lower teeth. I believe the fact that I was the last appointment of the day caused them to rush through and do as little as they could possibly get away with so that they could get out of the office. As far as I'm concerned, just more evidence of a lack of caring on the part of Dr. Tran. Finally, a word about his dental assistant. She was not a pleasant person to be around but I suspect she is overworked and underpaid (she is Dr. Tran's only assistant). She also was careless. While applying fluoride to my teeth her hair dangled against my face. Creepy and unsanitary. The receptionist is Dr. Tran's wife. While she is a pleasant person who does what she can to cover the deficiencies of Dr. Tran, it is nowhere nearly enough. If you still think you want to give Dr. Tran a try, print out and bring this review with you and hand it to Dr. Tran to read, before you let him work on you. It may at least give him pause about how poorly he conducts his business. read more

This is a small family run operation, but they do a GREAT job at it. Leslie (Dr Tran's wifey) runs the front of the office and she is fabulous. Super sweet lady and extremely helpful!. I've only met Michelle as their technician, I think she might be the only one, and she really knows her stuff and it shows while you're with her. Dr Tran is really down to earth, a great dentist and loves all the new technology and gadgets. They have a camera so when they are talking about what's going on with your teeth they'll take pics, pull it up on the screen in front of you and talk about it. I came here to get my teeth mold for my whitening gel. My friends tell me that I really don't need it since my teeth is already more white than 90% of of the population (thanks to no coffee and cigarettes). haha :) however, with my profession, I thought it wouldn't hurt if I got them. I was recommended by my friend to check this place out as she comes here every so often. Since I am in the area for work sometimes, I decided to check them out. I'm very picky with who I go to for things like this but since I have heard great things from my good friends, I decided to check them out. As soon as I arrived, I was greeted by his wife, Leslie, who made the nervousness of going to a new place and a dentist so calming. She is friendly, professional and knowledgeable--everything you really need to be an office manager and an assistant to the Dentist. It's also nice to know that she loves animals. Anyone who loves animals is a huge plus. Dr. Tran greeted me with a smile and really genuinely wanted to make sure I am happy with his service. Since my teeth are still relatiely white, he advised me that I really didnt need it but if I really wanted to, I could. I think that is a real true testament to someone's honesty. Most people just want to make money off of you, well, Dr. Tran just wants to be honest and help with my needs. After he got my molding done, he asked if I have any questions and made sure I know to call him if I have any questions in the future. The stuff he gave me was so good that I didnt even have to use my second tube. He is definitely a great dentist...I just wish he was a tad closer.
