We had a morning rental for 2 hours, which I think was more than enough to make a few loops around the bay. The staff member was very courteous and thorough with taking us through how to operate the boat, restrictions on where to go, and making sure we had everything (even provided blankets since it was an overcast day). The boat is easy to handle, and it's pretty easy to follow where you're allowed to go. We saw plenty of wildlife - sea lions, birds, and best of all otters, including a mom and her pup swimming exactly at the boat dock. There is street parking right in front, and a hotel bathroom in the same building. They also provide binoculars for close up viewing. A good way to explore more of Morro Bay!

I traveled here in spring, so I don't know what summer bookings look like. The ride is about an hour long. We went on the booze Tiki cruise. The drinks were rather large. They offered two sizes, we got the smaller size and that was perfect for me. I was super excited that I was able to bring my dog! I paid for my 2 dogs, I only brought on (the other is 18 and he had been out all day, he was asleep in his kennel). They don't do Refunds, but I was supposed to get a drink pass, but I don't think I did? I didn't realize until way later, though. There was also a goat on the cruise! I like to call it, "The Story of a Dog, a Goat and a Boat". I think the boat only held about 22 or 24 people. It wasn't super cold on the boat. We were pretty shielded. Remember, people might be drinking, so it can get loud! I'm giving them 5 stars just on the fact that I could bring my dog! I can't say that she loved it (she was scared, she had never been on a boat before), but thank you for a fun experience.

From the rental process, making sure we had the boat that fit our needs, to the check in/check out, all the interactions were friendly, professional, and super helpful. The check-in process was quick and smooth, and they made sure we were fully comfortable with the boat before heading out. They were also very responsive when we had questions! The boat itself was in excellent condition--clean, well-maintained, and easy to operate. Definitely an added bonus that they had wakeboards and life vests for different sizes. The tube was a huge hit! What really stood out was the customer service. Mikey was amazing at the dock and even gave us tips on the best spots to wakeboard, tube, anchor and swim. Overall, this was a wonderful experience…read more It was scary in the beginning because the waves were a little rough. We sat in the front and experienced "flying boat" - as in the boat was rocking so hard it left the water for a bit. Lesson learned for me - in choppy weather make sure to always ride in the back. The Captain was extremely knowledgeable and customer service was flawless. He knew the ocean very well. When he realized we were getting pretty nervous he made sure that the boat stayed in a position that limited the rocking. He kept checking on us to make sure we were doing ok. We saw whales, otters, birds, sea lions, and porpoises. It was amazing seeing them in the wild and they were beautiful. Make sure to dress in layers. It was cold in the beginning but warmer when we were heading back to the dock.

Yes I camp other places I love the area and it gets very hot wish we had more tree coverage so with that said bring a pop up or two. You never know what kind of wild life you will see and walk hike with caution rattle snakes blend in super good. I made the mistake of brushing my teeth with the water spicket one year so don't do that unless you want to get sick my stupidity. If you like fishing make sure you have a fishing license we went down to the lime one year with a kids like two year old fishing pole and a child hook and some lame person said we had a fish net and called the rangers on us and they all came looking for a net looked in my backpack in my truck in our ice chest in the back of my truck acting like we had done something wrong it was a huge embarrassing moment for them because they came In hot like I was a criminal with my wife and to young kids and the only thing was a trash bag that I collected trash people left around apparently they had a video of this so called net and the ranger told me after looking a this video that they must have mistaken a net for a trash bag. It's was super lame like I understand they have a job todo but the way it was handled in the beginning was not professional with kids around. Other then that I've always have had a great time in the heat we even went when the lake was dried up on the Harris creek side and camping one year and it rained we still had a great time. Yes it's not super party like as year in the past and that's ok you want that behavior drive up the road to the next lake. I wish they still had the little store but that closed up sadly. They need more people camping to get that open again.
