Lovely day at Morro Bay with this boat ride being a real highlight. We had a group of 10 (including 2 children) and there was plenty of space on the boat. We had a morning rental for 2 hours, which I think was more than enough to make a few loops around the bay. The staff member was very courteous and thorough with taking us through how to operate the boat, restrictions on where to go, and making sure we had everything (even provided blankets since it was an overcast day). The boat is easy to handle, and it's pretty easy to follow where you're allowed to go. We saw plenty of wildlife - sea lions, birds, and best of all otters, including a mom and her pup swimming exactly at the boat dock. There is street parking right in front, and a hotel bathroom in the same building. They also provide binoculars for close up viewing. A good way to explore more of Morro Bay! read more

The boat rental at Morro Bay was fun for us. The quiet electric motor was all but silent, very good for our little family as our birds are frightened of some noise, especially in an unfamiliar setting. Morro Bay is frequently wind and the boat has little power so it can be very slow. But the speed is not a big deal to us, we do not come to Morro Bay to hurry. I would probably rent a boat from Estero Adventures, but not sure. I do not remember pets (dogs) being prohibited. My boyfriend and I, along with our friends and their baby came to Estero Adventures on a whim- we hadn't planned an outing, let alone put in reservations for a boat, but the staff was so kind and squeezed the 4.5 of us in for an hour an a half. We were greeted and felt so welcomed here, and they were so accommodating as we had a stroller with us. We were able to store the stroller in their shed! Before we departed, we were given a quick guide on how to navigate & a map of the bay, a life vest for the baby, and cozy blankets. Though there was a nice breeze, the sun was out and we were able to enjoy a beautiful cruise through the bay. We got to see the sea lions as well as some otters just swimming on by. The boats are VERY comfortable and spacious. We were able to adjust the tops of the boat to either be up or down. The boat was easy to navigate once you get the hang of it and being able to connect to the speakers was a huge plus. We dropped in on Estero Adventures hoping they would have a tandem kayak for us and they did! John was super helpful in getting us set up and launched. He even gave us a little "head start" before our hour rental started. When we returned to the dock, we texted the number John had given us and Keegan was there to help us on our return. The tandem kayak was in excellent shape and very comfortable. John was really knowledgeable and gave us some great tips to help us fully enjoy our time on the water. I had friends visiting from out of town with their 3 teenagers- we took some snacks and had a blast! The young gentleman who checked us in was helpful, enthusiastic and fun- he also packed us three blankets to stay warm even though sun was out. Electric pontoon boats may not be fast but boy are they a blast around Morro Bay rock harbor! We had four adults and one kid it was around $100 for an hour and we loved every minute of it. There is Bluetooth capability on the boat so you can blast your music and just cruise around. We grabbed some drinks before boarding and just chilled out. You have enough time to probably eat as well if you brought some picnic foods. The one hour was perfect to see all the cute marine life, seals and otters are all around. The views from the boat is absolutely amazing. The customer service and booking was a cinch all online. We parked at a nearby spot as there is no dedicated parking lot. We did an hour boat rental and it was such a amazing time. We brought a picnic basket full of food for lunch. The staff was super nice and very helpful, talking us through where to go and how to manage the boat. It was only my husband, daughter & myself, but it was so roomy; I wrapped up in a blanket and laid out next to my husband while he drove us around.. We looked at the other boat rental and I am so glad we decided to go with this place. The boats just seem so much bigger & I love the fact that although there are openings for fresh air, there are "windows" up which helps block the breeze, which is great. One hour for us was enough to enjoy lunch and cruise around the entire bay but we are already planning an 2 hour trip just to enjoy longer. From arrival through the overview of operations and the harbor map, to the return to the dock, the staff at Estero Adventure were friendly and fun, and made the whole trip out into Morro Bay harbor a truly relaxing and memorable event. The rental cost is reasonable, and if you are staying at the Estero Inn (which I also recommend) you get a discount. The electric boats are spacious, clean, and easy to navigate. We paired our phone to the boat's speakers and spent the entire trip listening to our favorite 80's bands and watching the huge collection of sea life. We rented a tandem kayak for a couple of hours and had a blast! Availability for what we wanted was immediate, which was fantastic, and the paperwork beforehand was minimal. We got a discount for staying at the hotel so that was a nice bonus. The staff was helpful and friendly, took us down to the kayak and gave us helpful instructions as to how everything worked. While visiting the area on a busy weekend we discovered this shop that has many cool things to rent (Electric Boat, Kayaks, Paddle Boards, and Fat Tire bicycles (good equipment). Our experience was top notch from beginning to end. Staff was very friendly, helpful, and professional. We rented the bikes at a very affordable price, that came with use of helmets, and combination locks. Having the locks provided the ability to stop at local businesses and be assured the bikes were safe. Having the bikes made for quick travels around town, beach, etc. Much better than the struggle looking for parking when using car.
