Our experience with Arts Avenue was frustrating and unprofessional…read more We paid recital and costume fees months in advance, with the understanding that key details would be provided later in the season. Those details--rehearsal schedules, dates, and location--were never communicated. When we asked for clarification, we were told the studio was still working through the details, which is unacceptable given that families had already paid. To make matters worse, the studio attempted to attribute the confusion to my child rather than taking accountability for their lack of communication. It also became clear that the studio prioritizes its competition team, while other students receive significantly less organization and preparation--despite paying for recital participation and costumes. We expected a much higher level of professionalism and transparency.

I emailed at least five times with concerns and never got a response. The production itself was also really disappointing, and I felt it made my child hesitant to be involved in productions moving forward. They preformed scenes they NEVER rehearsed. What should have been a 50 min show was 1.5 hours, largely because the teacher was feeding them all their lines. My child has been in four different productions, some for much younger kids. This production was by far the least developed and "roughest" to get through. These concerns seem to be tied to larger business issues. Although I know some folks who have had god experience with the dance side of things, the theater program is underserved and it was incredibly frustrating.

Tiny tots is for toddlers with minimal to no gymnastics experience, however, everyone in the class appeared to have quite a bit of experience for their age. 2. I notified MG that it wasn't the right fit after one class and requested a refund. No refunds are given but they tried to be accommodating and get us into another class. Unfortunately we couldn't make it due to scheduling conflicts. 3. It would be awesome if MG allowed one drop in class before committing to a whole month. 4. The instructors were nice, I just felt that it wasn't the right fit for my kid's age and experience level. 5. At the end of the class, the instructor handed out candy suckers. I was a little surprised that parents weren't asked first. Why not fun stickers instead? I wish MG would have worked out for us! I was really excited about the class. MG tried to accommodate our schedule, but it didn't work out. I let them know the class wasn't a good fit the night of the first class and unfortunately I didn't get a refund so we probably won't be back again.

They have so many colors and materials to choose from and everything is so organized. The people who work there is always walking around offering help and suggestions so you never feel lost. They also gave us mocktails and had snacks available, which made the experience even better. Everything was really good. If you like arts and crafts, this is such a fun activity. It's very relaxing, I felt so calm while working on my piece. Time definitely goes by so fast when you're focused and creating. Just a heads up, they include different mold sizes with your reservation, but if you choose a bigger one than what's included, they do charge extra. Overall, I loved it. It's perfect for a date night or for having a fun time with a group of friends. I would definitely do it again

She was in FULL meltdown mode and it wasn't fun!! Fast forward to this summer and not only did she have an INCREDIBLE season, she's now doing a SOLO for the upcoming season! We're in absolute awe of how much she's grown in just 3 years of dancing, and we have TDA to thank for that! I also take (adult) classes at TDA and it's been wonderful for my mental and physical health! This really is our safe space and we wouldn't change it for anything. We're actually having dance withdrawals...we can't wait for the season to start! Thank you, TDA!

For the first time ever she asked to choreograph a dance for a school PTA competition. Thank you TDA and Ballet Academy North helping her express herself through dance

Given that everyone in our immediate family is…read moreneurodivergent, we are well-acquainted with the contentious history of ABA and the associated social stigmas related to autism. We were determined to ensure that our child did not face the challenges we encountered growing up--lack of support and the absence of essential tools and skills for self-empowerment and autonomy. Before choosing OOTK, we consulted with fellow parents in the Autism community and those at our child's school. After attending OOTK's open house, the therapists and An left a lasting impression, leading us to join their waiting list, aware that it might take six months or more. Our past negative experiences with ABA facilities, overly focused on behavioral conditioning and token use, prompted us to seek better support that aligned with our child's strengths, pro-Autism advocacy (not that Autism Speaks bullshit) and employing more empathetic communication methods Ultimately, we selected OOTK because they aligned with our stance on Autism. During our child's time there, they communicated with us only when necessary, conducted regular productive check-ins, and collaborated closely with us and the school to ensure our child's success. Our goal was for our child to acquire life skills, cope with challenges, and communicate effectively, irrespective of being autistic or nonverbal. Witnessing our child evolve from a quiet presence to a sassy chatterbox speaking in full sentences amazed us. OOTK's staff consistently displayed understanding, empathy, and professionalism, contributing significantly to our child's remarkable progress. Thank you for being a transformative influence in our child's life and for the invaluable support you've provided to our family. Our child, like any other, experiences both good and challenging days. The ability to communicate and understand the importance of compassion has been a crucial lesson, teaching them resilience even in the face of setbacks. Thank you so much. I'm really sad that we had to say goodbye after they graduated, but we are forever grateful for your support and the friendships we've made!

I would give zero stars if I could. My daughter attended…read morethis school from the very beginning. At first, she was making progress and I gave them a lot of credit for it. Now I wonder if some of it was just my daughter making some of the progress on her own. The owner (An) does not keep track of the kids case workers. We have talked to her about my daughters (Jenny was her case workers name) and she would say, "I don't keep track of the kids, I just leave it to the case manager" (how professional...) Jenny was absolutely terrible. She would email me always going on and on about how my daughter did this and that wrong. Even texting me inconveniently about how my daughter is fussy or constipated. I would be at work and they'd be texting me about it. I eventually had to email her telling her to stop messaging me negative statements about my daughter. Jenny decided she wanted my daughter to have ABA classes at HOME! Apparently she and other people at OOTKS had been "thinking about it for a long time", but only decided to talk to us about it when I was 4 WEEKS AWAY FROM GIVING BIRTH TO MY SON! When my mom called and confronted her about why she was kicking my kid out of the program, Jenny couldn't come up with anything but constipation issues was the reason. We told An we did not want Jenny to work with my daughter. Only a few days later we were informed JENNY WAS WORKING WITH MY DAUGHTER AFTER WE ASKED AN NOT TO AND SHE AGREED SHE WOULD NOT HAVE JENNY WORK WITH MY CHILD! We would also get multiple calls about my child having a fever & "needed to go home". When I would pick her up, let her play & take her temperature again, she was normal temperature, even playing normally. Not sure if something is wrong with their thermometers or if they just didn't want her there. We eventually left cause we felt they didn't want my daughter there and have now found a place where my daughter is thriving & enjoys. She leaves that place with a smile (unlike this place).
