Perfect lunch! 1/2 Tropical Salad and 1/2 Cheddar Broccoli Soup was a nice lunch while shopping. The diner has a comfortable, homey atmosphere and is a wonderful respite from summer heat. We will be back next time we are in town!

Smack dab in the middle of Arcadia lies an authentic western eastern deli. #stevensleavin

For those of us that have lived in and visited other areas, this is hardly a deli. The sandwiches are tasty, but a bit overpriced and way under-stuffed. Not a lot of choices for eating establishments in Arcadia, so for some it will have to do. You order at the counter and they bring it over to your table. Ours came after a short wait but one of the sandwiches was wrong. They offered to take it back and remake it but rather than wait, we said we'd eat the one brought. No offer was made to discount the sandwich, that probably would have been thrown away. Both items were good, but a far cry from a "deli" type sandwich. Pasta salad side was decent but coleslaw too sweet and watery. Doubt we'd come back. #stevensleavin

I've been to Arcadia a few times for the awesome and amazing antiques; however, this time I was there so long that we had to eat. I was nervous as I have only eaten at the Tea House and was uncertain of what else I could have in the Antique District. We happened upon the Oak Street Deli. I reluctantly entered and hoped beyond hope that they would have a vegan dish for me--possibly a piece of lettuce and tomato. The interior was a typical diner, but slightly more interesting. I approached the counter and timidly asked if they had any veggie sandwiches. The wonderful young lady behind the counter said, "Tell us what you want and we will accommodate it." WONDERFUL. I slowly rambled off items that I wished to have on my sandwich expecting "no's" with each request. Amazingly they had everything I asked for including ciabatta bread. Happy day. We all ordered and sat down and in a short amount of time, we had our food and man was it good. I know that a veggie sandwich doesn't sound exciting but it was very good. Everyone else's food was delicious as well. The customer service was amazing. We will certainly go back to Oak Street Deli the next trip we take to Arcadia.

I am certainly a fan! After looking through all the antigue shops one starts to develop a hunger! We stopped in this place and found a Great American Ol Mom and Pop type of deli. The service was awesome and everyone was friendly! I ordered an Italian sub and let me tell you, all tasted fresh and cured my hunger! I loved it! Order with a side of potato salad just perfect! My son order bacon and cheese sandwich with chips, he also said it was a great treat.

Hurricane Irma dealt them a heavy blow and their legions of loyal customers were seriously worried, but they bounced back and are as awesome as ever! Arriving- Easy peasy to find with no tricks or challenges. The parking is adequate, and I've never had a problem. Ambience- It's a deli folks! Huge blackboards show you the extensive menu. I gave you a pic of just one of several panels. Tables, a covered patio, and a counter that seats about 40 folks all together. Note that the counter has a couple of power outlets for a quick phone charge. Nice! Pro Tip- They have their own Wi-Fi, but I didn't bother asking for the password as I connected to the nearby Xfinity Hot Spot. Customer Service- You order and pay at the counter. The drinks are serve-yourself. If you are eating in, someone will drop off your food at your table but there really isn't table service. All the folks that have touched me over several visits have been just fine. Food- I'm addicted to the Rachel! It's like a pastrami Reuben but with Cole slaw instead of sauerkraut. I guess sauerkraut was a little too strong for Rachel! I added fries and a small fountain drink, and the pre-tip tab was about $16. I've had this exact lunch several times and it always blows me away. Savory pastrami and crisp, fresh Cole slaw on toasted rye makes an excellent sandwich. The piping hot fries were well cooked. I was stuffed and smiling as usual. An easy 4-stars!

My family has been in South Florida for generations, so to be treated like I'm some outsider was insulting. As for the food? Absolutely terrible. The chicken was dry, salty, and clearly frozen definitely not fresh. For the prices they charge, you'd expect way better quality. Meanwhile, the family seated next to us was treated like royalty: their food was brought out to them, they were asked if they needed anything else, while we were shouted at across the deli like farm animals. And to top it all off there was mold in the ice machine. That alone is enough reason to never go back. This place was a total disappointment, and I'll never eat here again.

And I'm not saying that's bad, but if you don't have great teeth, forget it. Again, the bread is delicious and the cheese and meats are top-notch. I had the Italian sub but needed to heat it up in the microwave to soften the bread a bit. The wait times are absolutely ridiculous. Today they told us they were to shorthanded 4 people behind the deli counter and the wait was 45+ minutes. Some of the items are very very overpriced. The sub was not. It was about 10 bucks for the Italian sub. We bought the mozzarella with the tomato for $9.99 a pound. It was absolutely flavorless! I understand the mozzarella is fresh made, but the tomato was rockhard and ridiculous. SO disappointing. We paid way too much for that. Try it but good luck on wait times. The Vibe: From the outside, the shop is pretty unassuming, tucked into a strip mall--but that's often where the best deli spots are hiding. When we walked in, we were immediately greeted by a busy lunch rush and a fast-paced New York deli vibe, with staff cranking out sandwiches left and right. Always a good sign. What We Ordered: * Hot Rachel * Classic Italian * 1/2 lb pesto macaroni salad * 1/2 lb redskin potato salad We took everything home for lunch and... Every single thing was delicious. Sandwich Highlights: The Hot Rachel was exactly what you want from a deli sandwich--tender pastrami, melty Swiss, tangy slaw, and toasted rye all working together perfectly. Stacked high and full of flavor. My husband's Classic Italian was also fantastic, loaded with meats and that classic deli balance of flavors. Both deli salads were great, but the pesto macaroni salad was the standout--creamy, herby, and packed with flavor. We're honestly so excited to have discovered a great New York-style deli less than 10 minutes from our house. Safe to say we'll definitely be back soon to work our way through the rest of the menu. Pro tip: Don't skip the deli salads--grab one or two to share with your sandwich.
