I'm sorry I don't get what all the hype is about. Yes, the service was nice but not wonderful. Once the server took our order we didn't see him again, nor did we after we had our food. But I digress. We got there on a Thursday morning about 10:30. Guess it was spring break because the joint was jumping. Lots of empty tables but apparently not enough servers. We waited for about 15 minutes and were seated at a table right in line with the front door which opened continually. It was so cold I was sure I'd never be able to sit through breakfast. I asked to be moved and they said no the tables weren't cleared off. Seems like an easy fix and one black mark. Doesn't one want the guests to be comfortable? The entire place was freezing, needed to turn up the heat. I ordered Eggs Nicole which were tasty. The server did ask if I wanted the sauce on the side which I appreciated. Then I could add my own. It came with what the menu said were freshly grated potato pancakes. The eggs were served on top of half a croissant which served no purpose and was difficult to cut. These were the oddest potato pancakes I'd ever seen and their taste was quite odd. Even the apple sauce and sour cream they gave you didn't mask it. I grew up in a nice Jewish family so I know what real freshly grated potato pancakes should look and taste like and these bore no resemblance. My husband had eggs benedict which is said were good but his eggs were cooked almost done instead of nice and runny. He too wondered about the potato pancakes and neither of us ate them. I'd rather have a side of toast. We live in Tacoma and ate there as we were driving through. Maybe we'll give it another try, maybe not. read more

Over the years since opening, have NEVER been thru the door (tho many tries), because wait (which was expected) was ridiculous, outside standing, one way in/out quite limited parking (none--unable to park except in the line of cars waiting to turnaround in the dead-end lot. Wasted an hour sitting in car just to get out and still have never been inside. Just as well: heard it was ridiculously expensive. Won't try again. read more

This is my second visit the the Oak Table. The food is amazing and huge portions. I ordered the Eggnog French Toast with a side of bacon, one friend ordered the mushroom omelet, and the other got the Italiano omelet. The omelets were both super fluffy!!! They didn't skimp on the omelet fillings either. The French toast was amazing!!!!! I look forward to my 3rd trip here soon. Fyi: they freshly squeeze their own orange juice. read more

For the number of rave reviews and the long wait, I was definitely disappointed the taste of food. The portions were large but only tasted okay at best. Although there was a long wait to be seated and served, the staff was very kind and attentive. We were way out of our way, as Seattlites, past Bainbridge island to the "other side." So I looked for a local breakfast place, expecting to find an old hole-in-the-wall where locals are called out by their first name. Instead, we pass a new strip mall with big-box stores (you can't escape urbanization, even in the countryside) past a new condo building, up the hill to the Cafe. The short story: it's definitely worth the dashed expectation. This place has closed to 5-stars, so we had to wait a bit. After we sat, we made them wait a bit because it took us so long to narrow down their menu choices. Their Apple Pancake looked more like a large cake, with big slices of apples and lots of cinnamon. It looked great, but I can't comment because it looked too big for me to order, today. They hype their bacon which can be ordered separately (so we did) -- very good. We got the fresh strawberry crepes -- much more luscious than I expected, with a nice fresh ground strawberry infused syrup. I got their Egg Casey: ham and eggs scramble over a 1/2 croissant, covered with a mushroom gravy -- rich and yummy on this cold morning. Coffee was very good, with their heavy cream mixed in. Their fresh orange and fresh grapefruit topped things off. This place is a brightly lit environment with very happy/friendly wait-staff. I'm sure I didn't pick up on all their attention to little details, but I did notice their train-whistle announcement of each Apple Pancake delivery and their presentation of my bill, on a tray with my credit card placed neatly at the bottom. Despite going a little earlier on a Sunday morning for breakfast, we still had to wait a half hour to be seated for a party of 2 and another 20ish minutes for our order to arrive. This place definitely gets busy quick so make sure to plan ahead instead of doing it spontaneously. I ordered the Eggs Nicole while my friend ordered the Eggs Benny. The servings are generous but the food itself wasn't spectacular. I did like the mushroom sauce I subbed in place of the hollandaise sauce, however the potato pancakes that accompanied the meal was a major let down. It was tasteless and oily. I think hash browns or tater tots would've been a better side to it than it. I do have to commend them on their bacon though. Their thick cut bacon was probably the best part of the meal but $6.45 for a slice of 4 just seemed a bit high for it. Pretty decent experience overall. Food was good. Nothing to write home about. Service was great. My only gripe is how expensive it is. The food is good don't get me wrong but it's quite expensive for what you get. $7 for a side of bacon is pretty steep. Like I said food was pretty good but not for the price you pay. 2 people. Both drinking waters. And our breakfast was over $50 including the tip. Just kinda of crazy. The portions were not fair considering the price and we left still hungry. Awesome place for breakfast! It's always busy and doesn't take reservations. Service is exceptional which is hard to find these days. Servers and hostesses are nice and kind. I had the German pancake, it was huge and when our server asked how everything was and being my honest self said it was a little undercooked, too eggy for me, more than I preferred and he took it off our bill. I would of gladly paid for it, but that was a nice gesture so we left him a hefty tip! Bacon is delicious here as well as their homemade butter. We will go here again. We went to Oak Table for the first time for my mom's birthday. The wait was about an hour after we signed up on their list. The earlier you come the better. When we got there we thought the wait was long but when we sat down the service was wonderful and our food came out quick. It tasted amazing! I highly recommend the Fruit Blintzes! Super yummy crepes! They also have these huge pancakes that they sound off a train whistle whenever they are ordered. I've been back several times since with friends and family members. I also ordered toast which came HOT and slathered in real butter. The toast was burnt but I didn't even care. It was fine. Our waiter, Jr, was attentive and friendly. This was our 3rd time to try to get in this place. It is quite popular so expect to wait, especially on the weekend. We had tried on a weekend 2 other times and it was more than an hour wait. Ok, decided to try this joint. If you are looking for a gourmet breakfast in a nice quiet atmosphere, this is not your place! Arrived 10 minutes after they opened and they were already busy. That should be a good sign, it wasn't. We ordered a mocha and a blueberry mimosa. Mocha was half whipped cream and was luke warm when it arrived and the mimosa was in a tiny little cup and was really weak! These drinks were ridiculously small for the prices! We also ordered the mushroom omelette and the quiche of the day which was sausage. Not going to lie, omelette (little steep $21.50) was pretty good and the quiche was mediocre, crust was very dense and made up most of the quiche! The omelette also came with 3 small pancakes which were ok, nothing special. Food took about 40 minutes to come out of the kitchen which is a little ridiculous! But during that 40 minutes we listened to pretty much the entire restaurant talking at the top of their lungs and a bunch of children crying and screaming ( whose parents just let them just keep screaming and crying!) Our bill for breakfast came to a whopping $70! Think we will keep to our normal joints and leave this place to the bougie folks who don't care about ambiance and money! read more

Food was OK not really my cup of tea, I like a hearty meet and potatoes kind of meal and these folks have more of a foreign looking menu. Squirrelly omelets, crepes and things of that nature. The Waite is nuts, you would think the Queens body was on display based on the amount of people waiting outside. The service was a little slow on the water and coffee as well. The pancakes were lightl fluffy and amazing. My wife had the strawberry blitntzes.. off the charts. If you haven't won the James Beard award , then you should. As well as the Michelin 5 star rating. You are definitely Silverdales' best kept secret. Or perhaps it's most popular destination restaurant. The most friendly outgoing staff I have seen in many years. I've been here twice now when in the area visiting and I'm not sure if it's just because I'm from Portland where I have a plethora of great food options but I don't know why theres always a line out the door here. This place is very mediocre with very high end prices! This time around I ordered the Country "Benny" everything tasted store bought, the sausage patty tasted no different than a McDonald's patty which, don't get me wrong isnt horrible but not for $19.75!! This option came with just the two eggs "Benedict" no hash browns or country potatoes like most places would serve it but instead provided a side of pancakes which I get it's a thousand times cheaper but again I paid $19.75 for a very cheap breakfast that took wayyyy to long to come out. The service itself was kind and quick to fill up coffees and water. Ps the plain black coffee is $4.95 each and is served in the tiniest coffee cup I have ever seen. For this area it may be an okay option but I personally won't be back again. read more

Cute little cafe with a beautiful view. We waited 35-45 minutes. Hostess people were really nice and friendly. Our server was pleasant and helpful. Everything was delivered. My table ordered the buttermilk breakfast with bacon, eggs Benny dish, shrimp omelette, Italian omelette and a side of potatoes. Benny came with a non traditional mushroom sauce with was yum. I've been to a number of good brunch places in Seattle and the Bay Area... but this place surpasses a lot of them through their good food, huge portions, friendly service, and lovely view of Mt. Rainier. Located atop of a hill near Kitsap Mall, this place used to be in Kingston. This review is a bit overdue, but worthy of the five stars. Came here on a Friday afternoon at around noon - had to wait about 10 minutes for a table, so it wasn't too bad. I imagine the wait is worse on weekends, but at least parking is plentiful and easy here (they have their own lot). Love that they have a wall of decorated plates at the entrance. We shared the following: - Apple Pancake: THIS THING IS HUGE AND FLUFFY. Seems more like a pancake souffle than an actual pancake, as it was super moist. I love the caramelized brown sugar... gave the pancake a nice crunch and the apples were wonderful. It's like an apple pie in pancake form, only so much better. I'd definitely recommend sharing this though, as it's really big... but it still tastes great as a leftover! - Eggs Benny: This seems like a combination of biscuits and gravy with an eggs benedict. I'm not a fan of sausage, so I didn't get to try the actual benedict (it uses sausage as a layer instead of ham), but the mushroom sauce/gravy was soooo good. I also liked that they came with potato pancakes - these aren't circular hash browns, but super fluffy cakes made with potato. Their latkes are really good and have a hint of cinnamon in them. It comes with a side of apple sauce so be sure to try them together. - The Alaskan: This was a lunch sandwich that's only available on the weekdays. It's a sandwich filled with sweet shrimp and ham with a special spread. It also comes with a side of waffle fries. I'm normally not a sandwich person, but this was really delicious since there was a lot of shrimp and they tasted very fresh and sweet. I didn't care too much for the ham, but it went really well with the special spread they put in it (I think the base is dijon mustard?). They do put a lot of sauce in it, so beware it may get soggy or drip... but totally worth the mess. Their waffle fries are also really good, nice and crispy! - Side of Bacon: They're famous for the bacon since it's made in Seattle - the pieces are thick but aren't too salty - they're just full of bacon flavor. If you like your bacon a little more raw, you might want to let them know since they fry it to a crisp. I prefer my bacon like that, but I know some people like it a little soggy. We also got a mocha and a hot chocolate - definitely recommend! They're really good and fun to drink, since they put a mountain of whip cream. Be careful though, since the whip cream will start dripping to the side creating a sticky mess... still delicious. Prices are pretty fair for how large the portions are - I can confidently say they still taste good as leftovers, especially the apple pancake. Service was friendly and I think it's really awesome that they have good wifi in the restaurant (they even have a 5G connection for those with compatible devices). Come hungry, and be prepared to wait. We've had many meals at the Oak Table in Sequim, in Kingston while the Silverdale restaurant was being built, and now Silverdale, and have never had a bad meal there. It's an ideal restaurant for brunch, and the Silverdale restaurant specializes in gourmet breakfasts. Everyone else thinks so too, and there is typically a 40 minute wait, with no reservations. But once seated, service is speedy, attentive, courteous. Other restaurants are still short-staffed, but the Oak Table seems to be well staffed, with five hosts working the Saturday door, and many wait staff and cooks. Staff seem happy and work well together. The blueberry pancakes were perfectly done, with fresh blueberries on top (I order mine without butter). The side order of thick cut bacon is four enormous rashers, delicious and filling. I wish they hadn't taken my favorite, the Kijafa Cherry crepes, off the menu, but there are many options currently. My daughter had the smoked salmon Benedict, and was a bit disappointed there wasn't more smoked salmon to it. The star here is the enormous apple pancake, soufflé-like and several inches thick. The ambience is sunny, pleasantly noisy, with families. It's fun to people watch. read more

Great breakfast spot and I'm a breakfast snob. The menu is huge and unique. The apple pancake was amazing. I'm not normally an appl-y pancake-y type of gal but our first time in, the chef sent one to our table. It was ridiculous. So hot and fresh and delicious. I've had the Bloody Mary which is 4 star. The bacon is some of the best I've had. The portions are COLOSSAL. I read a couple negative reviews because I couldn't figure out what a person could find here to gripe about...and I would like to have a debate with the folks who left them. It's a little more expensive than an average breakfast joint but the service is great and you get a lot of incredible food. read more

I've never been so impressed by a place where I didn't even get the signature items. I love some options to get lunch or breakfast because I like to try everything. I got the eggs Casey. I've never cared much for English muffins so a croissant as support is definitely better but it didn't really add much to it. However with that yummy mushroom sauce I inhaled it. The pancakes were soft and heavenly. My wife got the blintzes which had slightly thinner filler than I'm used to but they were delicious. She opted for waffle fries which were dusted with this amazing seasoning salt. Can I buy a jar of that or something. Yum Service was very attentive and friendly. If I'm in the area I'll definitely be back. The location is a little screwy but fortunately with technology it's easy to find. So many things I need to try. read more

Food is always great however this visit the girl who brought us our drinks dropped the large orange juice on the table and I ended up being covered in orange juice luckily I had a change of clothes in my car. My friend wanted to substitute the potato pancakes for one cherry crepe with the eggs Benedict. They did it, but they do charge quite a bit. Next time she will ask first, but she did it was worth it.
