Delicious delightful Oakberry on Robertson (Blvd), we meet! Popped in after some weekend festivities and was greeted with warm service and energy in this cozy yet spacious new Oakberry location. I was really grateful they were open until 9:30pm when I strolled by around 8:40pm. The person on register was so friendly, kind and helpful a one woman show! It's been a while since I had Oakberry so I asked about the smoothies being dairy free and she confirmed they all are with the exception of adding Whey Protein or Dry Milk boost. Purple Fuel was my refuel for the night after a 10 hour day in West Hollywood (happy pride)! I sat down for a beat at one of the tables inside, near some of the bar style seating along the window overlooking the street and had some memorable sips before journeying up to meet up with my friend(s). Great addition to the area, a bit tucked away next door to Alana's Coffee (Roasters) and directly across the street from Anawalt Lumber. Street parking - 2hr limit + metered Will stop in for a bowl, drinks, smoothies and other offerings again, no question.

Service is excellent here and I recommend dining in for optimal dining experience. However, all my leftovers were still fire, as well. I would recommend getting all of these dishes: *~Green Curry Dumpling ($12) - This may be a sleeper hit but the green curry surrounding the steamed veggie dumplings is a nice level of spicy and just makes my mouth watering thinking about this appetizer. *~Crispy Duck Rolls ($14) - They're fresh & feel so refreshing to eat with a few pieces of roasted duck inside and their fresh Thai slaw with some hoisin sauce, all wrapped in rice paper and lettuce, of course. I'm obsessed with this appetizer, as well! *~Pad Thai Meltdown ($22) - This is the most fun spin on pad thai of all time! I'm a basic girl and goodness do I love pad thai. Well their recipe is absolutely delicious ~ but this dish has melted cheese on top, as well! It's not as weird as it sounds, it's actually amazing just making the dish taste more creamy, not really cheesy tasting. My only disappoint was they are supposed to grate & melt the cheese tableside and that didn't happen. I went on a busy lunch though so I'm assuming that's why we didn't get the tableside show! Maybe next time! *~Chef Katt's Special Fried Rice ($18) - If you're going to get a fried rice, this classic Thai one may be the one to get with sweet Thai sausage slices and bacon pieces throughout. Loved this fried rice! Honestly, this was the best Thai food I've had in ages! They are adding little spins on dishes to make them fresh and new, and most importantly - delicious! I'll be back soon!

Pad see ew: (7.5/10) a classic. Not the best I've had but it was good! 3. Blood clam papaya salad (6/10): I love blood clams but these were a little too ocean-y for my taste. The amount of papaya salad was also very sparse. Probably would just go for regular papaya salad next time. Service is also great - they are very attentive. The location is next to a motel but there is plenty of street parking.

I have been here a few more times since my first introductory review and I managed to finally try…read moretheir notorious oxtail pizza that it is time for an updated review. I had a craving for Esco's pizza (a telltale sign that Esco's has now occupied my brain more than the neighboring pizzerias) so I popped in on a Sunday and found that they had slices of oxtail pizza. I immediately ordered it. They also had jerk chicken pizza and a chicken pesto pizza. After talking to the woman behind the counter, I decided to order pesto pizza, since she recommended it and it was the best decision! The chicken pesto pizza is so flavorful. Chicken pieces were cooked tender, not dry and it was fully marinated in the pesto. Great fresh tastes of basil, Parmesan cheese and the pine nuts, one slice was enough to be a satisfying meal. Buuut, I didn't in this case, because I still had the oxtail! The beef was tender with a slight crispy edge and was served generously on the slice. Jalapeno slices add just the right amount of heat. It comes with a a side of consomme where you can dip your pizza. I would definitely come back for both slices. People from Esco's are mad friendly and hospitable which is a huge pull for me. Bumped up the rating a star!

The crust is thin, the slices fold the way they should, and everything lands in the "decent" category -- nothing mind‑blowing, but nothing disappointing either. It's the kind of place you hit when you want a quick, familiar, New York-style slice, and you don't mind paying a bit extra for the convenience and size. Overall, decent pizza at a premium, but it gets the job done.

I ve been ordering delivery from this place every two weeks for the past year and a half , HOWEVER shrinkflation hits hard here , I totally understand that COGS went up the roof , but come on. For the chicken larb : first you increased the price , then you switched from a 32oz container to a 16oz container , THEN you switched from a 16oz container to a soup container which is not even 1/3 filled. Guys , I m rooting for you, your food is amazing . But skimping so hard in food quantity is just bad for business.

After driving past this place a thousand times (yes, a thousand), I finally stopped in. And I'm…read moreglad I did. I went with my Thai go-to: yellow curry with chicken. Which was super nice. The sauce was flavorful without being sickly sweet, while the chicken, potatoes, and carrots were also of good quality. They were also small-ish pieces, not the huge ones you sometimes get, though the portions of them was actually large. So large, in fact, that I sort of regret getting something else as well. Sort of. I also got the Crispy Wontons, which were thin but still tasty, and rather filling (you get six). But as good as they were, they and the curry was too much. It also didn't help that, along with the white rice that came with my curry, I got something they call Healthy Rice, which is (according to the menu), "wild black rice, brown rice, [and] red quinoa" (I actually thought I was getting the Healthy Rice instead of the white, but whatever.) It was okay; the white rice was much better, especially when it had some yellow curry sauce on it. And no, to answer the obvious question, I didn't eat all of the rice. Just all of the white and some of the Healthy. As for the place itself, it was clean, and the staff were very friendly. The food also came out in a decent amount of time, and was nice and hot when it did. The place is small, though. There's maybe a dozen seats outside, and fewer inside, which may explain why most of the people who came in walked out with a bag a minute later. Also, the seats outside were wooden stools, which didn't bother me, but it would've been an issue for my elderly mother, and thus other people as well. Oh, and this has become a thing with me and resteraunts lately: napkins and utensils. Thankfully, this place's napkins were the big kind, and they gave me two of them, while the utensils were real and metal, not plastic. In fact, the only bad thing about the place is that it's on La Brea, and a block below Wilshire, so parking may be an issue. They do have valet at night, but I didn't check to see how much it was. But it wasn't so bad that I won't be back. I just won't order so much.

It's easily my new go-to. Pro tip: Since I was ordering delivery, I called the restaurant directly right after placing it to ask if they'd leave the patty on the grill just a touch longer than usual. They were so sweet about it and executed it flawlessly. Also, can we talk about the coleslaw? I usually steer clear of restaurant slaw because so many places drown it in heavy, uninviting mayo. But Sunshine absolutely delivered. Their dressing is beautifully light and slightly sweet--honestly, it makes an amazing burger topping. So many vegan spots rely way too heavily on processed, hyper-engineered faux meats and cheeses. This place strikes such a lovely, authentic balance. You can get a genuinely vibrant, healthy bowl, or dive into comfort food classics like their mean vegan chicken sandwich--and I hear the sweet potato fries are a fantastic side, too. To top it all off, the female owners are absolute gems. Even over the phone, they treat everyone with this effortless, warm hospitality that makes you feel like an old friend. It's just great energy all around. Check them out!

After my family and I visited the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, I wanted to stop somewhere for…read moreice cream, but my kids wanted something to drink like a smoothie or boba. Another criteria they were looking for was a nice place to hang out. We ended up deciding on Green Table Cafe because my daughter said that this cafe sold smoothies and it was a cute place based on the pictures she saw online. Once we got to the cafe, it had an inviting vibe and the gentleman behind the counter was friendly, but I wasn't a fan of the Chocotino smoothie and the table we sat at was not cleaned prior to us sitting there. Green Table Cafe is located in Los Angeles specifically on Pico Blvd. and Stearns Drive. It's next to an India Spices & Groceries store and it's across the street from CVS. Parking is mainly street parking and we found a metered parking spot across the street that didn't cost too much. Once we entered the cafe, we were greeted by small red car that someone could win if you participate in their $20/ticket raffle and a welcome greeting from the gentleman behind the counter. It's definitely a cute and inviting place with a large painted sentence "Love what you do Do it with LOVE" on the wall behind the counter. There are other inspirational wall art scattered around the restaurant. There are floral decorations throughout, wooden slat ceiling, natural light, and other accents that match the vibe. There are round marble tables with blue velvet and blue plastic chairs, a skinny wooden table with a sofa, and there are covered outdoor seating. Not sure if the gentlemen behind the counter was the owner or manager, but he was customer service oriented and was friendly to every customer who entered the cafe. My review is solely based on the smoothie I ordered because that's all I experienced. If we ever visit again, I would like to try their food and desserts because the desserts and pastries looked enticing. The description of their savory food on their menu made them sound delicious, but I won't know until I try. Based on its name, the verbiage on the menu, and what I drank, it appears Green Table Cafe is for the healthy conscious consumer. Their menu consists of coffee drinks, smoothies, superfood bowls, salads, and burgers/paninis. The words gluten-free, kale, quinoa, acai, hemp milk, and mint extract hearken to someone with a vegan diet. I'm a carnivore and I like to eat whatever I enjoy, so I'm probably not their target customer. I ordered their Chocotino smoothie and I wasn't a fan from the first sip to the last. The Chocotino is made with almond milk, banana, cacao, protein powder, rolled oats, almond yogurt, dark chocolate, peppermint oil, and goji berries. It leaned heavily on a peppermint taste and when I let my daughter taste it, she said it reminded her of a York peppermint patty candy. I definitely was not a fan and I almost brought it back to exchange, but I kept hoping it would taste better. I stirred it with my straw, but it didn't change my disdain for this smoothie. My kiddos got the smoothies they craved and a place that was a cool place to hang out. I didn't enjoy my smoothie, but that's what parents do. We make sacrifices for our kids.
