I was attacked to this place as soon as I saw all the fruit they had around, then I saw the menu and they had plenty of yummy different smoothie flavors. I love smoothies. I order me the Island Breeze, it had all the berries and banana. They sweetened with dates. It was very refreshing and delicious. I really loved it. I saw in their menu that they had veggie sandwiches and avocado toast. This would be my to go place if I lived closer. The young boy at the counter was so kind and helpful. I'm a smoothie fanatic, so the Salad Bar at the Original Farmers Market caught my eye immediately! In addition to various smoothies and juices, they also have salads, sandwiches, wraps, and more! We came here at the end of the night, so they were basically closing up. I believe we got the Pacific Passion and Splash Strawberries, which were both the perfect sweetness and not overly sugary. They tasted fresh and were perfectly blended. We enjoyed our smoothies at tables nearby (there are plenty of seating in the market). The good: I got a peach and coconut smoothie as well as a raspberry lemonade. There were so many lemonade options. The smoothies were made very quickly and the ingredients are fresh. Drinks came in 16 or 20 ounces. I liked how the lemonade wasn't overly sugary. It was tart and sour and refreshing. There were fresh raspberries in it. There is plenty of seating in this area because they're located centrally in the farmer's market. The bad: I expected the peach smoothie to have more flavor. Parking here was $24 even after we got it validated. It would've been over $50 without the validation. Visited the original farmers market since I was in the area. It was lively and packed with people. Stall 424, inbetween a candy and gift shop and right across from french crepes. Got the Hawaiian Lost but substituted banana with mango due to allergies. Comes w/ strawberries, pineapple and coconut milk. They were accommodating with my request. I'm obsessed with their peach pleasure smoothie! I think it's peaches, pineapple, coconut milk and a banana. Good stuff. It's was creamy and slightly sweet but not too sweet. Perfect. We also go the juice special which was the honeydew and cantaloupe juice. We expected to see some filler but the staff just kept throwing slices of cantaloupe and honeydew in. Last we got the watermelon lemonade. This one was not the greatest. Was expecting blended watermelon mixed in with the lemonade which was kind of on the sour side. Had a few issues on a recent visit. Ask for your receipt. We ordered 2 protein smoothies, and as our drinks were prepared we noticed that the contents of the blender was very foamy. She handed us our drinks, which were obviously half foam and before we could suggest that we be given the generous amount of liquid that had settled in the blender, she had tossed it all out. We just paid and left, but later that day when I checked my credit card app and I noticed that we were overcharged by a lot. This place is already pricey, but the total charge for 2 smoothies was almost $30. They won't answer the phone, so I disputed the charge through my credit card company and it got sorted out, but beware. I came for the first time to get a smoothie. The protein that was supposed to be in the smoothie was not in the drink. Once I said something to the woman who was working and she told me I did not ASK for the PROTEIN even though it is on the menu And supposed to be in the drink I ordered. I then told her that I do not work there and I did not know and I just want what I paid for and she abrasively told me again that I did not ask for it. I've been asked her to put the whey protein in the drink and she rolled her eyes at me and reluctantly made the 15 dollar smoothie (mostly ice and coconut water watching her) that is 20 oz again. I only got the coconut water here but it was amazingly delicious with chunks of coconut meat floating in it. So sweet and smooth! It was absolutely delicious. This stand is located in the Farmer's Market at the Grove. Very convenient with a shaded sitting area just outside of the serving area. This shop has two 'windows' on opposite sides of their booth with no signage indicating which window is the Ordering Window and which is the Pick-Up Window. There was a small line at both windows so it made it a bit confusing. As for their smoothies, my family and I ordered the Mango Delight Smoothie, Passion Iced Tea, and another Juice Smoothie. Both of the smoothies tasted almost identical and were both somewhat bland. After walking around the Grove for the majority of the afternoon, we came in for a refreshing juice smoothie. This place definitely did not deliver. On the upside, the Passion Iced Tea wasn't bad. But it wasn't enough to dig themselves out of the 1 Star Review Rating for me. read more

I've been coming here for years, I've always had a great experience. Staff is super friendly and the taste is always consistent. I specifically go here for the Pacific Passion smoothie, it has mango, peaches, strawberries, and pineapple. It's so delicious. I've tried nearly all the smoothies on the menu and they're all really good but Pacific Passion is my favorite. They also offer salads, sandwiches, and fruit bowls as food options. They have a literal salad bar with lettuce, veggies, pasta, and other goodies to customize your salad just how you like it. Tuna and chicken are an option to be added onto the salad as well. The Sandwiches are also customizable. Tip, if you like Tajin like I do you can ask them to add some into the smoothie or on top of your fruit bowl. Super good! read more

2.5 stars rounding down to 2 for me. It's strange, I know. How could it be this way? Say it ain't so! But it is so. And I must explain myself. I ordered an Arnold Palmer and a chicken salad sandwich on wheat bread with fruit salad on the side. Quirks: 1. The chicken salad was more mayo than chicken. And, for whatever reason, the concept of salt and pepper was lost in this dish. It was bland and did I mention very mayo-y? If I wasn't clear before, I really need to emphasize the amount of mayo-ness involved here. Couldn't finish the sandwich due to the content and ended up picking at the lettuce and tomato that came in the sandwich. 2. The fruit salad presented before me was 3-4 pieces of fruit on my plate and I have to say I was a little disappointed. The salad consisted of one piece of papaya, two pieces of honey dew, and 1 piece of cantaloupe that she randomly picked out of a giant tub-o-fruit. What made it more interesting was the fact that I had trouble chewing the honey dew. Why? Because they didn't really cut away the whole rind. Yeah... that was weird. Could have been a simple mistake but the other melon was equally rind-y. Yeah... I kinda pushed that to the side too. The Arnold Palmer was the only redeemable part of my lunch. It wasn't too sweet. It didn't taste syrupy. It was in fact refreshing. I will consider this place as a "no-go" for meals but will stop by for beverages. I hear they are notorious for their fruitilicious smoothies. Perhaps this is their strong point, and I'll give it a shot at a later date. read more

FOOD ALLERGY SAFE: I love this place so much. This love affair started with their smoothies, I've several of them now. My favorite so far would be the Papaya Paradise. Their smoothies are delicious, made fresh, using real ingredients. They make no use of corn syrup or artificial sweeteners, it's so hard to find establishments that use real ingredients! Following a negative experience at Loteria Grill, thought I'd give the Salad Bar's actual salad bar a whirl. It was fantastic, such a breath of fresh air! I was not disappointed. For less than $10, I filled my plate with various proteins and veggies, they even accommodated my food allergies with extra ingredients. I couldn't be happier with the quality of food and service at the Salad Bar, it's definitely be my new go-to when visiting The Grove. read more

I met my buddy for lunch at the Farmers Market and thought we'd change it up, try something new. "It's a hot day. Let's eat light," I said. I asked for some suggestions and didn't get more than a couple of shrugs. But I thought this could be an undiscovered gem, so my buddy ordered a chicken salad. It consisted of som mixed greens, chunks of juicing carrots, canned peas and what looked likestrips of boiled chicken. We should've just said "thank you" and walked away, but I still thought to give this place the benefit of the doubt. I asked for a turkey wrap on a spinach tortilla and a razzle dazzle smoothie, thinking it'll be great if they're touting their fresh fruit and vegetables. "How can you screw that up?" I thought. The wrap was a basc as you can get with all the trimmings of mixed greens, tomatoes, cucumber slices and cold cut shavings of turkey; all held together with a toothpick. As I took one bite it fell apart. "The smoothie... The smoothie will redeem this place," I thought. That is until I saw the employee scooping syrup-ee ladles of fruit into a blender. So much for fresh fruit. Of course it was undrinkable. Although I haven't tried every single restaurant in the Farmers Market, this is the only one I would steer clear of. read more
