So I looked over their glasses selection found a pair I liked and then put in my information and got an appointment scheduled. Today when I walked in, everything was easy and went very well. I'm a type two diabetic and they were able to help check me for eye issues for that. I think the whole situation probably only took about 45 minutes. The only thing I can say bad about them is that the intake form that I filled out online wasn't necessarily working well when it came to taking my insurance card. But other than that, the staff was wonderful and the whole overall look of the office was nice and immaculate.

Thanks to the trusty Yelp! app,  I found a new shop a quick skyway walk from my office. I came into Metro Optics with a new prescription from my doctor. I was told that they have a doctor on-site (ow! bad pun!) but I didn't need this at that time. Jerome and Crystal immediately accepted the challenge and - honestly! - it took no time to find six different frames that I really liked. They each helped me to narrow and prioritize my choices, leaving me feeling very excited for a new pair of glasses. I'm so tired of the old nerd look (yeah, I'm not terribly creative) and I loved that there were so many choices available. I've since picked up my frames and had them adjusted a bit further. Every time I come in both Crystal and Jeremy are friendly, professional and fun to chat with. I feel really good about the selection I made for both the shop and my glasses. I recommend that anyone wanting personalized service and a unique selection find their way here. You won't be disappointed!

I decided to get contacts and have to say I was very nervous about touching anything to my eyeball. (Yes I know you've heard this story before) No worries my friends because KiKi will take care of you. We spent a half our together getting the lay of the eyeball and all the contact techniques. KiKi was also the one who yes/no'd every pair of glasses I tried; "too big for your face, to wide, to small..." She practically runs that place. I also really like the Dr. I saw this time and will continue to request him every visit. (I think they rotate 3) And of course I can't think of his name! I'll get back to you. He really gave me the best info I've ever received about which contacts/glasses are best for me. So you SEE? It's a nice play to take your eyes.

I'm sure she was hired to help customers fit their glasses and help them pick them out, not to make sarcastic remarks roll her eyes and be rude. Finding this eye care center was easy, the staff was incredibly professional and kind! I'm currently on crutches so just the small act of letting me sit and bring the clipboard and paperwork to me versus making me struggling and stand at the counter meant a lot to me. I met with Dr. Beers and he was very patient, answered all of my questions, and helped me feel comfortable about my eye options. I had lasik in 2015 and my eyes aren't terrible but slowly getting a prescription - he made it super easy for me to fax my charts and papers over to my lasik provider to maintain my lifetime warranty and it was overall a really great experience! I have had terrible eyesight and have needed glasses since I was 9, going to the eye doctor is equivalent to the anxiety most people feel going to the dentist and they really put me at ease. I'm glad I found them and will be staying with them as long as they'll have me as a patient!

The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. I feel confident I'm getting the best care for my eyes! I see Dr. VanMeter for my regular eye exams. She takes the time to listen to me and makes sure I'm happy with my prescription. She always manages to dig up some samples for me, despite my not-too-common prescription. The exam rooms are spotless. It's a nice, quiet setting that's perfect for folks who experience appointment anxiety. This past year was my first time ordering glasses from the store, and I'd definitely order again. The staff were extremely helpful with my indecisiveness about the frames. They had great suggestions, and I ended up with a pair I love. I initially had some issues with the fit, and they encouraged me to return as many times as necessary to ensure I was comfortable with them. Their selection of frames are on the expensive side, but they seem to be worth the price. Things to note: There's a parking garage in the same building. You can access it through the alley to the left of the clinic. They have convenient online scheduling. They also offer an online contact ordering system, but it's a little confusing to use. I typically ask staff to order my contacts for me after my appointments.

The technician (I'm sorry I forgot her name!) was friendly and explained the tests she was performing so I understood the process. Dr. Endres was so professional and personable. I was educated about every step of my exam and even got to see images of my retina! I didn't feel rushed at all and he really took the time to explain his findings and to answer all my questions. Kimberly helped me pick out my frames and suggested enhancements to prevent breakage (which is a necessity with a 9 month old!). Overall their flow of getting you on and out felt seamless. The staff swiftly moved me through all of the steps to check my eyes. I did have to wait for my eyes to dilate, so they had me look at frames to save time instead of sitting in a room waiting. I've always been impressed with how personable all of their staff is, and how much they really want you to be happy in your frames. I picked my frames up 2 weeks later, a week ahead of promised timeframe. Overall if you're looking for an eye clinic in the area, it's an amazing option to choose.

The staff was very friendly and patient with me AND with my two year old running around in their play area! Even though the store was busy at the time, they went out of their way to show me and give me their opinion on a wide selection of frames, without making me feel rushed. I was paired with a staff member with a similar prescription (the store manager, Odessa) which turned out to be very helpful in selecting frames as well as lens options that best suited that prescription. We had narrowed it down to two frames, and when I couldn't decide between them, she offered to take pictures of me with both so that I could see them from different angles. A small thing, but another example of their attentiveness and above-and-beyond service. My glasses arrived very quickly and exactly as expected, and I received the same great service when I picked them up and had them fitted. I would definitely go back!

Excessive fees...this office charges extra fees for services are typically included by others. For…read moreexample, they recommend that you have your eyes dilated, but its an extra charge. They also recommend that you get the drops to reverse the dilation, but that is also an additional fee. If you are new to wearing contact lenses, you must take a $129 "class", to learn how to put them on and take them out, typically included elsewhere with exam and purchase of contacts. Mind you, you still need to pay for the actual contacts. To avoid that fee, I asked for her prescription to take elsewhere, and they wouldn't do it. I recommend when booking your appointment to ask about extra charges associated with your appointment.

Not a huge deal to drive farther to location 2 except - I have been waiting for these frames since June 12th - that's over 3 months. Around the first week of August i was left a voicemail on vacation indicating they expected my frames in the next week. I never heard back and called again on 9/11 and was informed someone was calling me back at 2pm same day with an update. Not only did i not get that call back, i also left a voice mail three days ago (now 9/25) that was also never returned. in terms of customer service, how can you expect a customer to wait for over 3 months for eye frames when they were in stock at one of your locations? on multiple occasions why would you not call your customer back? why does one location take my insurance but another does not? eye exam was NOT covered by my insurance because i learned after the fact that it was the other location that accepted my insurance. eye exam itself was excellent. i have gone to LensCrafters and VisionWorks and really wanted to like Dakota Eye Care but you have missed the mark with nearly every aspect of what it takes to provide excellent customer service.
