Pizza was coal fired so it had a fluffy crust with a very thin droopy center. The toppings were falling off as soon as we picked a piece up so it was hard to eat. When we went there was a 25min wait. There's a patio to wait at with fire pit tables. The food was pretty good I had a Cesar salad and my wife had Margherita pizza. Our friends we came with had their pizza take about 15 mins longer than the rest of our food which is why I gave 4 stars not 5. Great place! Celebrated hubby's birthday with family. Modern and clean. We particularly looked for a place with outdoor seating given we had our beloved dachshund joining in on the family fun. We ordered a bunch of pizzas as we have a variety of tastes - I ordered a prosciutto with arugula, hubby a pesto meat, and a veggie option. Very fresh, generous, with good amount of toppings. The cheese curds were very unique - actually chunks of hard cheese fried that came with various sauces - warm and tasty. Mom got a salad which was generous and fresh. Located in southern Wisconsin and on the eastern tip of Lake Geneva is an awesome Pizza, Pasta and dessert place called Oakfire. A great view looking out over Lake Geneva. A 2 tier restaurant with roof top seating and a spacious patio which is helpful due to small seating space inside. Also a pet friendly establishment. I was filled with excitement and anticipation watching the plates coming out of the kitchen. Everyone looked more awesome than the last. lol. If you're into apps then I would highly recommend the Bruschetta and definitely get the prosciutto add on. You won't be sorry. I went with the Sant Elmo sandwich. The most tender and tasty piece of chicken on a sandwich, that I can remember having. Filled with tomato, fresh shaved Parmesan,Pesto and Balsamic Dressing on grilled bread. Just melt in your mouth delicious. No need to look at the dessert menu. Hands down it's the 3-Layer Cannoli Cake. As full as I was with the bruschetta and chicken sandwich there was no way I was going to stop eating this heaven on a plate until it was gone. It's that good. read more

I recall being on the beach a couple of July's ago with a large group and looking across the street asking "What's the place with all the people? Let's go there." Turns out it was Oakfire. And while the majority of my group headed home from the beach not to return, I somehow ended up somewhere else in town after my post-beach shower/reset. So when I returned to Lake Geneva this spring for a work event, visiting Oakfire was top of mind. So on an early May weekday I had lunch here with a friend. We were sat outside promptly and for this I was thankful. A couple of weeks later when prime tourist season hits and it would be like it had been that July I am sure. So be warned, timing is everything here. A wait should be expected if its summer season. I had not seen the words "pepperoni cups" prior to perusing the Oakfire Pizza menu. I am a red sauce trad pep pizza kind of gal and a fan of the wood fire style. The pepperoni curls up a bit around the edge - who knew pepperoni could have new things done to it? It was lunch and I am a small amount of food at one time eater so I had leftovers. After a drive back to my home city and time in the car while I went to the gym, I reheated this pizza and finished it for dinner. Yeah its that good that I took a risk. No I did not get sick. This is a really great pizza spot. I would rate the pizza five stars. Unfortunately the cocktails were not very great. If you order a cocktail here, I would recommend getting something standard. I did not like their seasonal drink options and I tried multiple. The service was was average and it depended on how busy it was. Overall, we still had a good time and ordered a variety of food. The cheese curds and pizza were really stand out. The calamari was just OK. Overall, this place is very casual. It gets busy, especially when you go for their trivia night. We came on a Tuesday night and we're seated right away. Our waiter was friendly but failed to tell us there was a deal on the pizza. We ordered a couple of appetizers and the waiter said he could take our order and the appetizers would come out first. They came out first....by about 30 seconds.... Tried out Oakfire and I enjoyed myself but I will say be prepared to pay a hefty price for what you could essentially get from like places like MOD, pros, blaze etc. When I arrived I was greeted by the hostess and was seated near the open window which overlooks the lake. They have patio and upstairs seating also. My server was very attentive and made sure to tell be before ordering my pizza what to expect. It's woodfire and some pieces may be more charred but the dough is still very pliable after cooked. I ordered the meatballs as an appetizer and my goodness I would come back just for that. I ordered a drink The Queen, it was tasty. For the pizza, I got the classica Bianca. It is a white sauce based pizza with a honey drizzle. I decide to grab dessert to go but in all honesty could have skipped it. I got the apple crumb cheesecake with ice cream. It was nit worth the price. This is one of the best pizza place I've been to. Pizza cooks really quickly, and the taste is great! The dough is soft and fluffy, but also crispy on the bottom. Deep fried items are also fantastic. Cheese curds are so good that I didn't have a chance to take a picture before it's all gone. The batter is very thin, so it's a lot of cheese wrapped in crispness. Although the pizza is fresh and tasty, the price is way overblown. You can get a very similar pizza at a fraction of the cost at Mod Pizza or Blaze Pizza. Sure, you wouldn't get the lakeside view either...but for $75, we could have gotten a lot more than an appetizer, 2 12" pizzas and 2 doft drinks and sat at the beach for free. This place was wildly overstaffed. I saw at least 10 employees mostly standing around chatting with a mostly empty restaurant. Maybe it was an odd time on a weird day. Service was very friendly and swift, including bringing the check where they then ignored us except to clear the table before we were ready to leave. Our waiter/server (Mike may have been his name) was wonderful and made great recommendations. He had a good personality and was very attentive. My sons chicken tenders were good (I'd get them for myself!) and the calamari starter was one of the best I've had. They were accommodating to my bringing in food for my dairy and egg allergic daughter. We ordered the pepperoni pizza as the main dish and wow was it good! We finished with the Nutella calzone and again... awesome! My husband had the hazelnut old fashion and I had three Rossa sangria per the waiters recommendation and they were spot on. Can't wait to come back (we live 45 min away in Illinois and the drive was worth it). My family and I came here on a Monday afternoon for lunch. It was pretty busy, but we were still able to get a table right away on the upstairs patio which we requested. It was a beautiful day so the patio was perfect and our server was nice and gave us time to look over the menu before we decided on what to get. Music playlist consisted of some 90's alternative rock so I was digging it. My wife got the Classic Bianca, I got the Sausage Pesto, and we ordered the sausage Mickey Mouse Pizza for our toddler. I also ordered a blackberry Oakfire Tito's Mule because the nice day called for a drink in hand! Very tasty. Didn't have to wait too long for the pizzas to come out either. They're about 12-inches which is fine unless you're really hungry or eat lot in general. Pizzas themselves were decent, though as others have stated, the crust and bottom on mine was pretty burnt (not sure if that just comes with the territory of wood-fired pizzas or not). I was able to finish mine and only still feel slightly hungry afterwards, and my wife ate 4/6 slices on hers. Service started off okay but after we got our food, our server checked in on us once and was difficult to find later on when we needed a water refill and more napkins. We were able to find him for the napkins but ended up needing to call over another server to ask for more water.
