We had a great time at Village Supper Club - even braving the snow and ice to get there for our first visit! We came on a whim when someone told us about it and made the only reservation I could find that evening...the second they opened! Even so, we were not the first ones there. We had amazing seats - facing the outside. The room is gorgeous with soaring ceilings and plenty of dark wood giving very cozy vibes. Service was quite good - friendly and didn't rush us - though I know they had plenty of reservations coming in behind us. The food was great - portions large and everything delicious. Burgers to kids ice creams! Definitely worth a stop in but I highly recommend reservations unless you're prepared to wait. And if you have to wait - the bar is gorgeous. read more

Like walking back into the 60's , a true old time super club ! Our waitress Brie was the BEST , so polite and attentive to all our needs. Timed all courses out perfectly ! WOW! This place is such a gem and I think not talked about enough with the best supper clubs in Wisconsin! Having just visited the iconic Del-Bar my experience here had a lot to live up to. What they did better: *steak flavor: the NY strip was unbeatable! The seasoning used on the steak made it. Portion size for the price was amazing also. *view: looking out at the lake during sunset is magical! I didn't go on the back patio but the fireplace was going and it would be a perfect date night stop. What the could improve on: *speed of service: I've seen other reviews state this as well. Wasn't overly long but we definitely had to prompt our server to take our order and get more drinks! But if a nice slow dinner is what you prefer this place is perfect. *dirty martini- could've been dirtier!! *French onion soup- it's hard to live up to a soup that takes 3 days to make though.. We arrived at 4pm when the Village Supper club opened. Ample parking across the street. We made a reservation late so we sat in the bar at the high tops tables. We were greeted by our server who was very pleasant while telling us the specials. I ordered an old fashioned because that's what you do in Wisconsin supper clubs. We got the relish tray which was excellent. It came with a giant cheese ball which went well with the pretzels, celery, carrots and cucumbers. My wife liked the sweet pickle. Good deal for $8. I got a cup of the New England clam chowder. It was good but a little thin. I ordered Friday fish fry bluegill and my wife got the roasted chicken. The fish was accompanied by two potato cakes. It was good but I wanted more for $26. My wife's chicken was good but nothing special. I got another old fashioned because that's what you do in Wisconsin supper clubs. Ordered a piece of the chocolate cake to share but it was really small. Overall, I liked this supper club, but I should have ordered a steak. read more

Ambiance was great, loved the booth and the view can't be beat. Old fashioned was delicious also. That's about where it ends. Chicken was over cooked and the rice was soaked in sauce. Kids meals came with some mandarin oranges, no option for any other side. Walleye was bland, potatoes were good. Relish tray is extra, not included, and doesn't have liver patè. We asked for dessert and were told there was chocolate cake, not flourless chocolate cake. We had seen it brought out to several tables prior to us ordering, but it was the end of the night we figured they ran out. Nope! She offered it to the table next to us about 5 minutes later! I had dinner at the Club twice in the last week and was extremely disappointed in both cases due to the very delayed service and the food was cold when it did arrive. In one case it was a party of four adults and the other a party of 6 adults and two children. In the last situation the kids orderd off the kids menu and the food was not delivered until after the adults recieved their much delayed meals. We had to ask twice where were the kids meals. The restaurant is beautiful but we have given up on the expensive food of poor quality and non existent service. The Club needs to have a kitchen manager. Four of us and the meals were disappointing- steaks (ribeye) did not appear to have been of quality- chicken sandwich cold and not edible. Green goddess wedge was good. Save your money. I used to love the old supper club with the prior owners. It has been rebuilt with new ownership. The lake view is outstanding, the facility is very nice, with outside areas to relax before and after dinner with a cocktail. However, dinner was third rate. Absolutely amazing facility!! Such an amazing change from the original club that had that small German bar feel. This is much larger with a very upscale menu, appearance and feel. Food was absolutely amazing. We had a large order with appetizers and meals and everything was outstanding! All the staff members we interacted with were all outstanding!! Rather pricey but for what you get you would expect this. They also have a fabulous outdoor covered patio and uncovered patio with fire pits and a great view of the lake! The quaint, authentic Wisconsin supper club was gone, replaced by a fancy, high priced restaurant that in no way could be considered a "Supper Club". I had a ground steak burger, which was very good. Disappointment The good: The filet was properly cooked and tender. The views were great. The service was great. The French onion had a nice beefy flavor. The dinner rolls were flavorful and soft The bad: The asparagus looked, tasted and felt like it had been on a steam table all day long. The Brandy Peppercorn sauce for the filet tasted neither of Brandy nor Peppercorn. It reminded me of a jarred brown sauce you might find at a discount grocery store during the holidays. The only flavor that comes from it was a bitter burnt ick. To add insult to injury, you pay $5 for a thimble sized portion. They also employ some outcome-based public-school math. There is a $3 price difference between the soup of the day and French onion soup if you order it ala-cart. However, there is $8 price difference if you upgrade the same soup of the day that comes with your meal to the French onion. Just when you think that you can't get disappointed more, you take home dessert. In our case, what they called "chocolate lava cake". Words cannot fully express how gross that cake was. It reminded me of a stale dense overcooked Hostess cupcake without the filling. There was no 'lava' just some chocolate something on top of the cupcake. If you want to chill out on their patio with a beer and soak in the lake views, then this is the place to do it. If you are hungry, eat somewhere else first. read more

Well, we made reservations on a Friday night for my birthday and there was four of us and it was such a beautiful place. I can't even tell you the ambience if you wanna call it that was absolutely breathtaking reminded me of an old 60s lounge in Las Vegas beautiful booth they were turquoise they were you shaped they were gorgeous. They had the whole back of the restaurant was glass. There was a patio you could go onto, but it was very windy and cool that night so we did not go outside but in the summer that would be the place to go. The bar was absolutely fabulous. Huge bar probably 30 seats at it. The drinks were excellent. You could have any kind of drink you wanted even some that used to be popular years ago that you don't often see anymore. They also had lots of IPAs in different kinds of beers. If that's what you like the food was excellent. It was served absolutely elegantly. The plates were gorgeous. The servers were very, very nice and accommodating. In every way. We really enjoyed ourselves. Definitely go there if you want a dining experience go there. read more

Came here for my husband's birthday last night and had the most lovely evening. Our server went above and beyond with explaining each detail of food that we ordered to ensure that it was something we would love. She was excellent. We started off with the cheese curds that came with two types of dipping sauces- they were delish. And then we tried the deep fried mashed potato app. Very different but we enjoyed it! For our mains we obviously had to try the fish fry since it was Friday. They offer the fish fry to come 4 different ways. I had the baked and fried option and loved both. My husband said the breading on his fried cod was just too thick and didn't love it but the fish itself was really good. The fish fry came with potato pancakes, apple sauce, homemade tartar sauce and coleslaw. It was so much food! SO good. Just what I had hoped the fish fry would be. My husband also got the lobster bisque soup- and talked about it the whole way home lol it was divine. Since it was his birthday they brought out a chocolate molten cake that he could not get enough of. I had the 3 layered chocolate cake and it was the best chocolate cake I've ever eaten. Beautifully remodeled supper club/steakhouse. We made reservations months in advance (hard to come by!) and finally got to have the best meal and experience. We made sure to grab a patio drink and watch the beautiful sunset over the lake as well. We then sat at the interior bar and listened to the lovely Sinatra music while waiting for our table. There were tvs too to play the college football games this Saturday night which was perfect! As for our meal- we started with the mussels, which were in a nice creamy chowder-y broth. This was delicious with the garlicky complimentary soft rolls. We got the prime rib and boneless ribeye for our meals, and we surprisingly finished all of this scrumptious meat. What a gem! Tucked away in a residential neighborhood on Lake Delavan, I dined here over Labor Day weekend with a good friend of mine. Disappointment on Delavan The food, the service, the view - at least they got 1 thing right, hence the 1 star. Service - nice enough server and she tried but too slow with everything on a Saturday night. She kept saying the kitchen get's mad when she asks for things - never a good sign. Food - Burger - cold. 2 medium filets - both cold and one well done and the other rare. Ribs - good but also lukewarm. We only paid for the ribs after speaking to the manager. View - can't beat the view, the one positive along with the ceasear salad (hard to screw up a relish tray and if you screw up cheese curds in WI, you shouldn't be in the restaurant business) After reading the reviews, I was expecting things to be slow and the food to be hit or miss (hence the birthday burger) but this was unacceptable. No food should be delivered cold. Unless they fix things, all the updating and views will be for nothing. Not rushing back anytime soon. read more

Any reviews prior to January 2024 should be ignored. This is a completely new restaurant. The decor, service, ambiance, and food make for a fantasitci experience. The only downside is the difficulty getting a reservation and a parking spot. We had Friday Fish fry; the bluegill, and the cod (both fried and broiled) All were delicious. The mussel appetizer was outstanding and the relish tray included, among other treats, heirloom carrots. The wine selection is decent and the bartender made the best Cosmopolitan! We started off rough when we came in and asked to sit by windows and were told we have reservations for windows and we had reservations too. Reluctantly at best they sat us by windows. The boys saved our night. Let's go to the food. I'm allergic to tree nuts and noted it on our reservation. We ordered a relish tray and the cheese came topped with almonds. I was totally disappointed. Andrew asked to switch ours but we took care of that ourselves. There is no substitute for cheese with almonds. Again I used green goddess dressing and moved on. Steaks were great. Cooked perfect. Mashed potatoes were not great. I would not get them again. Overall beautiful restaurant. Front of house needs to match the service of wait staff. Nothing great, but eatable. Salad was decent. Kind of hard to eat, with the size bowl they serve it in, but not a huge deal. It was our first time going with the new owners.
