Interior is really cute and well put together. Surprisingly spacious inside too with additional seating in a separate area deeper inside the restaurant. Staff was extremely helpful and kind and assisted me with any questions I had. Menu is very easy to understand also. Ordered the salty crispy chicken with steamed rice and green beans. Chicken was very soft and still moist inside with, of course, the crispy coating. I was also offered to try a new item that is not currently on the menu, chive pork potstick dumplings (~$10) which came with their homemade sauce which was hard to describe because of the different sauces and favors inside. Regardless it was really really good. Thoroughly enjoyed my meal and the kind service and hope to visit more often to try out other menu items.

First time trying Taiwanese food and it was delicious! The restaurant is very chill and pretty inside with plants all around. My friend saw a video for them on Instagram and wanted to check it out. The cashier (owner I assume) is very nice. The food was really good. I liked each item I tried which was the cucumber salad, lamb dumplings, soy garlic crispy chicken, scallion oil chicken w/rice, and the popular braised beef noodle soup. We also tried the tea as well! I read one lower rating review that said the beef noodle soup was too fatty, but as someone who grew up not eating traditional Asian food, I thought it was fine. I usually can't stand eating chewy fat from any type of meat. The fat that you can see in the picture is actually very soft and melts in your mouth. I highly recommend visiting! And i definitely am going to visit again.

We are not from the area so decided to give a try. Got Teriyaki chicken ($14.95), Braised beef noodle soup ( $24), and Shrimp wonton soup ($19). It's a simple, grandma-mom/pop Taiwanese restaurant with a homey feel an design to it. Recipes are unpretentious, ingredients (like noodles) are home-made and made-to-order. The taste is pretty savory. Soup was nice and warm. Wonton soft and chewy. Rice fried well with moist chicken. Here are the downsides: It's expensive. For wonton soup to be $20 I don't think is worth it. Nothing special about teriyaki chicken to be $15. And the beef noodle soup to be $25 was not worth it considering the beef was hard to chew. It takes a long time for food to come. Yes, They make it fresh and to order but be prepared to wait. It took almost 25 minutes for 3 dishes. Beef noodle soup: big chunks of braised beef which is great however tough and not very chewable and therefore not very enjoyable. Service/tip: it is mostly self service in that you have to throw your own trash and clean your own table and get your own water however you are expected to tip the normal amount. If it wasn't this far, I still probably wouldn't go again.

What a pleasant surprise to find an authentic Taiwanese restaurant in an unassuming plaza. My visit took place a couple of Fridays ago because I heard of their delicious beef noodle soup. Upon arrival, I was so disappointed that they weren't offering beef noodle soup because the supplier didn't offer quality meat so the owner choose not to serve it. Kudos for quality control, even if that meant losing out on profits. Alternately, I ordered the shrimp wonton noodle soup. The shrimp wontons were handmade, you can taste the quality as the wontons were plump and delicious. The soup broth was also tasty and didn't leave me feeling thirsty later. The owner shared that they don't use MSG in any of their food. I had a few bites of the cold noodles with sesame dressing, that was also good and refreshing on a warm day. Another aspect of what makes Oakland Tea House stands out is their interior décor. There are semi-private rooms and some tables are sectioned off to provide more privacy, yet with a homey feel. The owner was really friendly and visited each table to see if anyone needs anything. I then struck up a conversation with her and she shared more about her restaurant and personal life. Overall, I hope to visit this restaurant again. Everything tasted delicious and authentic. The friendly service, clean restrooms, and ample parking also make for a great dining experience. #29/2023

The owner of the restaurant is so personable and really cares about pleasing her costumers. I get something new everytime I go and it never disappoints.

Amazing Taiwanese food. The beef noodle soup was as expected! Really delicious with super tender beef and thick noodles that really go well with spicy soup. I chose medium spicy and the bottom of the dish had enough spices to make it taste quite spicy. Not sure if this is the after inflation price but a single lunch meal costing almost $20 is really expensive. Dumplings were super good too. We were told shrimp dumpling was a new menu. Bottom line is I will definitely be back for more. Will cut down two dining out meals for this one place. Also, the beef noodle soup seems like only Friday and Saturday menu. Not too sure but worth checking with the restaurant because it's super delicious.

IN LOVE WITH OAKLAND TEA HOUSE! I am blessed that this place is located so close to me. Finally, a Taiwanese-specific restaurant where I can go and get all my traditional Taiwanese food whenever I'm missing Taiwan! I am so so so obsessed with Oakland Tea House, but don't just take it from this first generation Taiwanese American...take it from my Taiwanese parents and family friends who ALL APPROVE wholeheartedly of Oakland Tea House! That's how you know it's legit! My menu favorites are the minced pork rice, salty crispy chicken, and pork sausage, but you really can't go wrong with anything on the menu! I haven't tried their guo baos yet, but everyone who has tried them says they're delicious! I get take out from here basically once a week and you should too! Positioned kiddy corner from OU and at the pack of this strip mall/plaza area, students and all those who live near OU are so blessed to have Oakland Tea House near them! I even know of family friends who drive over from upwards of 30 minutes away just to eat here! It's 100000% worth it! LOVE

I ended up ordering the southwest wrap that had grilled chicken turkey, bacon, spinach, avocado, corn, cheddar, red onion with chipotle aïoli. The sandwich was absolutely delicious with the accompanying green salad equally tasty. Definitely a superior sandwich and one of the best I have had in the area. This is a walk up counter order operation, where you sit at a table after ordering and they bring the food out to you. Just something to note in the event you are looking for a sitdown service as this business does not offer that. Having said that, if the quality and the taste of your food is the top priority, which it is in my case, I'll come to a walk up counter order operation all day long for sandwiches like this! Relative to the Interior it is very clean and contemporary with basically no decor or vibe to speak of. They just focus on the food and let that do all the talking. Staff was very friendly based on the minimal interface I had with them. Overall, sandwich shops with this quality are few and far in between and if excellent deli type sandwich shops are your thing you absolutely should check this business out.

I reviewed the menu before I left, and they seem to have a great selection of items that are healthy and reasonably priced. I was torn between the parifat bowl and the breakfast burrito, but the gal at the register convinced me to get the burrito instead. Next time, I'm doing the parifat. The total was about $14 and change, and I was pleasantly surprised at how big the portion was when it came out. They also have a great, but limited selection of coffee drinks with pictures as well. I stuck with water this time since I was good on the coffee. Food was great, even though I was confused about what bread it was served on. I went with the turkey sausage which I normally don't like because it's just so salty. I also received a nice salad with it as well, which was good and healthy. I really like it here, it's better than my usual coney island and in a great location. I know this place used to be a sub shop back in the day, but they closed some time ago. Mostly healthy food options here and have great hours. You can eat healthy with some flavor in your food, thus, Lula's.
