He never addressed why if it was truly a moisture issue, shouldn't that be something that happens over time? Why would my flooring having cupping issues and dips/uneven floors from day one of the floors being installed? Being so naive, I thought floors had to settle. But nope. Just a horrible job from a janky business that doesn't take ownership of their mistakes. Just took thousands of dollars from me and blamed it on my house. Don't ever trust these people. The area downstairs was approx. 1000 sq. ft. tiles only, and upstairs he did carpets in the loft, one-bedroom, and the stairs. He quoted the job reasonably, so we scheduled him since he was highly recommended. We also removed all furniture to make it easier for him. When I returned home from work and saw the results, I was astounded. The pros: On time, responsive, and polite (at first). The house is less than one year old, so the carpets were not bad shape, just some spots from my dog having some accidents. He did a great job with cleaning the carpets. The cons: The tile job was done poorly and had some residue that made it look like someone dragged something through the house. He finished the entire job, carpets, and tile in approx. 1.5 hrs. which concerned me since he was by himself working on a substantial area. I called him, and he said it took him less time since all the furniture was removed. That evening, I reached out to James to express my disappointment and shared the pictures. He agreed to come back to fix it. He was polite and responsive, but he said he'll be able to return the following week since he did not have the product he needed. I started researching ways to fix the issue and found out that he does not require the product he mentioned to remove the residue. We started going back on forth with him returning (mind we placed our furniture in the primary bedroom and other areas making it very hard to move around), and he kept putting it off with excuses. He never came back, so I decided to get it done myself. I only used water and slowly finished what he was paid to do + a 20% tip. Sorry for the long review, but I recommend Duval Floor Care if you're looking to clean carpets only. Suppose you're looking to have your tiles done; look at the pics I posted and make your judgment. I purchased a Groupoun for carpet cleaning for my mother. The company had advertised a Mother's Day…read moresale; I then selected and purchased the "Carpet Cleaning for Two Rooms up to 400 Sqft...plus Deodorizing and Sanitizing" which was $40.04. After Their arrival to service the apartment the compnay began to price gouge, and stated that the stains were not going to be removed because the Groupon is only a "general cleaning" and when they saw there were two pets they associated the stains as pet stains. which was not included in the Groupon purchases, understandably. Please note: both animals are potty trained and the stains were from everyday walking and living throughout the home. We chose to add an additional room, after the service technician stated it should just be knocked out while they were there, but then stated they could not really clean the carpet without purchasing the deep clean and mentioned each room is $45.00 plus an additional $15.00 for a fuel fee. Feeling cornered we followed through with the company. After, I asked for an itemized statement for a better understanding of all the additional fees, because the Groupon never mentioned a fuel fee unless you are 25 miles outside of the 32208 radius. I also did not understand why I had to pay for two additional rooms instead of one, being that I orginnally purchased a two room package up to 400 sqft; or why I had to pay additional for stains when the Groupon advertised cleaning heavy stains. I was met with complete frustration for trying to get a better understanding, and was only given an invoice after asking for an itemized statement numerous times. I have contacted the BBB along with the Florida's Attorney General, because I am sure we all work hard for our money and if we go on Groupon, we are looking for discounts and do not expect to be hustled.
