I also had the luck of finding a pair of ON cloud tec, multi colored running shoes in my size at half price. The bonus on these was a rubberized, outer finish for rainy weather. During the COVID era, the most usual practices can be grueling, unpleasant and somewhat tedious. Getting fitting out for rentals is tedious in any case (with 6 year old in tow).. but it's the bright faces of the crew and their efficient work that truly make all the difference. In and out.. as quickly as we could possibly be! Super happy with the equipment, guidance and help. When we were nearly late to our ski lesson, they helped out tremendously. When I wasn't sure about fit of the boot, they had all the info. When we wanted a harness for our 6 year old (he was FLYING at a speed we weren't comfortable), Toby and Erika were there to help. He was transparent about all the prices and accommodated our desired budget. He explained the fitting process in full detail making sure the boots were a comfortable fit and would work amazing on the slopes. He also answered all of our questions patiently. When one of us was deciding between two ski options he gave us an accurate side by side comparison so we could make an informed decision. He also gave us marked down prices to reflect the summer season. He sold our friend to come here next season to buy skis. My wife also decided to get back into snowboarding and got herself a complete set up. We would have not bought that much if it was not for the attention and guidance we received from Shane. He spent time learning about us and figuring out what would be the best fit for both of us. Not only does the Truckee Boardhouse have a great selection but most importantly they know what they are talking about. I was looking at other places before walking in last week and within the first 10 minutes I knew I wasn't going to look anywhere else. You cannot put a value on customer service and expertise. We now will only go here for our snowboarding needs. They are also a full service shop where you can get your boards waxed, edged and repaired. We currently live down the hill from Truckee about 1.5 hours. I feel comfortable knowing if something goes wrong with my equipment on the mountain I am within 20 minutes of the Truckee Boardhouse to get something fixed or replaced. Hands down this is the place to go if you want a great selection, service and knowledgeable staff. They also have a killer deal during summer months to clear last year's products to make space for the new season as well as a great selection of summer goods and accessories.

I was there on Sunday and it had few customers, no wait time. I was in and out with 10 minutes. Everything was very quick and clear. Return was the same, very quick agian. No wait time. The price was much cheaper than at the resort and service was better.
