It's quite convenient to have the demo station on the hill at Northstar. I would much rather get it directly from Burton. The nice thing is if you do A rental through the Burton shop then you can use that rental fee towards the purchase of an item. They give you the rest of the season as well. Also they can use the other Burton stores to order your item if they do not have it in stock directly. I was able to demo the Burton step on at this location and try them out for a day and feel very confident that this is the right fit in the right boot for me. The service was great as well. I recommend doing this first thing in the morning to make sure that your size is in stock. read more

The staff here is incredible. The airlines lost my baggage and I was only there for one day, so I was in quick need of all new gear, head to toe. I believe Joe was helping me, who was extremely knowledgeable about product, size, colors, you name it. They helped me with everything including jacket, pants, thermals, helmet, and boots, within reasonable price (did not try to oversell), and had me out of there quickly. They searched the back for items not on the floor, and recommended where I could get an item they did not carry. One month later, I needed the receipt again for the airline, and they promptly found the receipt while on the phone and had it emailed to me within minutes. I've had a problem with pain with my snowboard boots for a couple years now and haven't been able to figure out how to make it stop. I've been in a few other stores and they tried (unsuccessfully) to change the linings of my boots to fit better. I went into this store with the intention of demoing some new boots since I couldn't get my old ones to work. Rather than try to immediately sell me on some boots, Maia took the time to talk to me and understand my problem. She discussed some solutions I could try, and then brought up the fact that my form might be contributing to the problem, and talked about how I could fix it (focusing on moving my hips rather than my feet). Well, she was spot on about the form being the problem. I made a few adjustments and the pain went away. I was just about blown away that not only was she not trying to sell me something I didn't need, but that she was able to figure out the real root cause just by me describing it. After a long day of riding on my really old snowboard I decided to go check out Burton. When I went in to look at the boards I was greeted immediately by will. He was so friendly and approachable. He asked me to bring in my old board so he could look at what I had. Will took a ton of time going through all the boards and binding systems to see what would work well for me. He was extremely knowledgeable about every product that Burton had and he explained what would be helpful for me and what wouldn't. I ended up buying a Burton custom with the new step in binding system. Will put it all together and told me if I had any problems at all to come back and he would fix it if he could. This store has a great selection, especially for not having a large store footprint. I was looking for a layer to put under my jacket for some of the upcoming cold snow days. I was able to find a great solution with an awesome print but it was a steeper price point than I would have preferred. That said, the price point is normal for retail goods in a location based on the mountain. If you are a Burton fan it's worth a stop into this store - even if it's only to check out the latest gear. read more

I just got off the lift and hustled awkwardly to get ready to strap my bindings in and *GASP* my toe cap was missing. I was shocked. I had to shred down the mountain very carefully and was bummed that it ended my day. On the way back to the car was the Burton store, I put my board down, walked in and was greeted promptly by Solomon. Solomon: How can I help you? Me: Do you guys have binding parts? Solomon: What do you need? Me: Toe cap Solomon: Bring in your board, let me see. (Disclaimer: dialogue above may or may not be verbatim) I brought in my board from outside and he quickly took it to the back and started working his magic. He seriously installed it in 2 shakes and said I had time to hit up the mountain for one last run. *Eyes light up* I paid my dues ($18 and some change) and ran back to the gondola... took 2 lifts to the top and rode all the way down to the village passing up all the slow pokes on the way. Or should I say, *IN the way? Haha. Anyway, unfortunately, I now have mismatched toecaps, but I'd like to think of it as a badge of courage. Came in to Burton to search for new bindings. And was stoked to see that they actually allow you to demo the step on Burton boot/bindings. Blair helped me out and she was extremely nice and helpful. My old boots and bindings are so old, she gave me the tutorial on this new tech. And made sure I was comfortable to ride. She helped all 3 of my friends as well. I needed a new pair of women's snowboard boots and Solomon helped me immediately. He sized my foot and provided me with great options of different boots and prices. The first pair I tried, I loved and we warmed them up so they could mold appropriately to my foot, I put them on and I went back up on the mountain! With the association of their demo center, the Stash and Shaun White signing onto the resort, it's only natural that a Burton Store would open up. At one point in my life I was a Burton posterchild as one of my snowboarding heroes was Craig Kelly (RIP). My first board ever was a CK Supermodel. Ever since then Burton has become a large company and their products and acquisitions have changed. However if you spend a bit of money, you'll get a quality product. No longer the best price-performance ratio but still solid. A friend needed a stomp pad and board bag for her new board so we dropped in. Board bags were a bit pricey but the stomp pad was a no brainer. Besides the snowboard products there a whole slew of clothing, and other accessories for your one stop shopping. Demo a board outside, perhaps get sold on the equipment while you ride, empty your wallet at the store. read more

Hi Solomon and Mike, Yesterday, I went snowboarding for the first time this season. My new snowboard is far superior to the old one. I was really surprised by the performance. Mike described very well what I could expect from this new board. Last year I purchased some Burton mittens that look like boxing gloves and I was told they would be the warmest mittens I have ever owned. This is true and I no longer need hand warmers even when I went skiing on an extremely cold day in the last couple of weeks. You guys are the best. read more

I felt compelled to leave a review for this store primarily because of the service I received from all of their staff, though interacted most with Solomon. He provided such an exceptional experience for me that I couldn't be happier with my recent purchases (though not originally planned)! ...It's been hard trying to secure a pair of Burton Step On boots & binding system since they sold out last year. After getting on the indication of interest list with this store prior to their inventory arriving and then buying their last pair of size 8 Ion sight unseen and having it shipped to me, I learned not only is this the wrong size but also that the channel system on my current Burton Joystick was not compatible with the new bindings. After talking with Solomon over the phone I learned they were already sold out of the size Ion I would need but could make sure to hold their last couple possible sizes of Photons for me to come up and try on in store. Once I got there I got a crash course on how they should fit, found the perfect fit and was able to demo a number of boards to see what matched my style most, as I now needed a new board to get the bindings to work. I was not originally looking to buy a new board but based on the overall attention and care I received they made me a more educated consumer and boarder which led to me also buying a board. Now I have an entirely new set up that rides better than I've ever felt before! I could not be happier, especially considering it was the 1st day of the season & I get the rest of season to enjoy the setup! Thanks for the great experience! read more

This place is great the staff is very helpful and they had exactly what we were looking for. You can test out as many boards as you like and your rental fee can be put toward your purchase on that day which came in very handy. The only bad thing that happened was my BF's burton gloves got snagged within 10 minutes of being at the store...people these days! read more

I've been a Burton rider for years, so I know their product lineup pretty well, but it's not that often you'll find a Burton salesperson with the same level of knowledge. Will spent over an hour with me talking boards, boots, and bindings and helped order the perfect setup from another Burton store as they didn't have what I needed in stock.
