I called Friday but they did not have any availability, so I snagged their 4:30 appointment yesterday. If your pet is a new patient, I'd recommend arriving 10-12 minutes prior to your appointment time to fill out the paperwork (basic information and why you are there). I love how cats and dogs have a separate waiting area, but cats will need to go past the dog waiting area when called to the exam room though. They do have a sign that gives/shows love and compassion to those that are having to say goodbye to their loved ones. I really appreciate that, it made me instantly like this office. Adam is/was a stray. We are not sure if he was abandoned or was just a stray that craves for human affection. He walked right up to the trapper and was carried into the trap. He was TNR'd but was deemed very friendly and adoptable so my friend reached out to me. Anyway, fast forward June 29th till now, his demeanor changed once I started or tried to give him antibiotics for an infection. Turns out he has gingivitis which concerned me because the other vet did not see that! He stopped eating, stopped drinking water, hid, and was not his normal affectionate self. This place did a thorough exam, explained every thing in detail, so we agreed on the treatment: glucose spot check, fluids, a cerenia injection, and probiotics. He is in my office and will rest and stay secluded with the humidifier I bought just for him. He seemed better last night. Oh, the pre-invoice will be provided before any treatment, so you can see the cost breakdown. The general exam is $136 alone, but it's worth it. Thank you for taking great care of Adam!!!

Calling me while I am on the parking lot unloading the door at the door.

They take a good care of dogs that have many health problems. My dogs had surgeries performed at the clinic and no issues. The dogs recovered well. But make sure to communicate via text or phone if you have issues transporting your pet and might get late because of it so they are aware. I had one issue in past related to that but seems that was corrected and we like the vet that sees our dogs. The rest works fine. They use pet desk app so is easy to make appointments and check exam results and also do texting.

I was gifted a bearded dragon in ill health. Oakridge got me in very quickly. Made everything make sense. I never felt rushed by them. They helped me and my lizard. Clear communication. Clean office. Good care. I finally found a vet I feel safe at.

It's been two weeks since I've had to make the dreaded decision that no pet parent wants to make. I had to put Peanut my 12 1/2 year old rabbit to sleep. When I arrived I had tears running down my face and was a complete mess. The front staff Joselyn and Tiffany greeted me with such grace and compassion. I was immediately put into a room where I was met with Dr. Singh. He took Peanut to the back for observation and when he came back into the room he let me know that she wasn't very stable. My heart shattered as I knew that meant it was time to say goodbye. I've never had to make this choice before. I didn't think I would be strong enough to make this choice. She was my whole world. Dr. Singh comforted me with this choice. He reassured me I've done everything I can. He was so patient and answered any questions I had. Due to his calmness and reassurance he made that difficult choice turn into me knowing it was the right decision to make. He wasn't my rabbits vet but he still showed Peanut and myself so much kindness and I am so thankful. Jenny was also apart of the process and also showed so much grace and kindness. Even as I was leaving everyone was so compassionate. Thank you Oakridge Veterinary staff for easing my pain through this difficult time. Now for Dr. Boyd who was Peanuts vet for the past year I couldn't thank her enough. The amount of visits she had with Peanut is more than I could count. She always listened to any concerns I had big or small. From last minute appointments, drop offs, lobby visits you name it Dr. Boyd has been incredible. I truly believe that the care Peanut received from her gave her an extra year of life. It was an incredibly difficult year with different challenges but we always worked out a solution or treatment plan. I am forever grateful for the care Peanut received. This review is incredibly long and I'm sorry for that. I just wanted to share my experience that my Peanut girl received during the different stages of her health over a 5 year period at Oakridge Vet. I would recommend Oakridge Veterinary over and over again.

I am so disappointed to say I'm changing vets and will not be back. The front office person I talked to was very polite, it's not an issue with her. It's their clinic protocols. I've been going to this vet for about 9 years. Dr. Singh got me through the most challenging animal issue I've ever had - to put down one of my cats that I adored. He is a wonderful man. I haven't seen him in a while he's always booked but the other Dr.s I've seen have not been as good. The biggest issue is that the minute I feel a vet cares more about money over my animals well being, I get out because I can't trust them anymore. Trust is everything when it comes to a vet because it's hard to make objective decisions when you love your animal so much. You should be able to trust your vet not to unnecessarily charge. I called to get my dog shots, a nail trim, and her anal glads expressed. (Important: she's not having any medical concerns, this is preventative and items she's needed historically that the vet is aware of. She's healthy.) usually they allow a vet tech to do it without an appointment, or at least they have the past 6 years. I was told that an annual exam is mandatory in order for the preventative items I requested above. She's been going to this vet for about 6 years. The anal glands even a groomer can do, I just prefer the vet. This is ridiculous as she's healthy otherwise. I complained and the manager said the best they could do is 50% off the exam cost. There's no reason I could think of that an annual visit is needed, when they know shots are due, they have all her history, she's acting normal, AND her last visit was only about a year and a half ago. The only reason I can think of is that they are trying to make more money. I'm sure they'll make up some compliance reason; however, I've never seen this and I've had animals my entire life. I've never heard an annual exam is required for a preventative request. The vet is fine but I would question if something seems financially off.

Absolutely amazing staff, from Elsa to the front desk,to the doctors, Dr. Boyd and Dr. Cupka. They helped save my cat who was ran over and he LIVES! Wasn't expecting a miracle healing back to what seems like full health, but without this team it wouldn't have been possible. Maverick thanks you all, Meow Meow!

    Happy, healthy pup!

I received a response offering an exam appointment (which I expected), along with the soonest available opening, but no information about pricing -- not even the cost of the exam itself. I replied asking for both the exam fee and availability. They responded by booking an appointment date and time, again without answering my question about pricing. I had to follow up a third time explaining that I needed to know the cost before confirming, and I was finally told the exam would be $60, which seemed reasonable. Since it was actually my brother's dog, I sent him to the appointment. After the visit, he was quoted $1,600-$2,000 for treatment, which was unfortunately out of his budget. While that happens and isn't necessarily the issue, I was disappointed to find out he had been charged $80 for the exam instead of the $60 I was originally told. When I reached out via text, they explained they "forgot" to apply the new client discount -- something that had never been mentioned to me beforehand. They offered either a refund or to apply the difference toward future services. Since we had already found another clinic that could do the same services for around $1,200, I asked for the $20 refund back to the card. After that, I never heard back. No confirmation of the refund, no apology for the overcharge, nothing. I understand veterinary care is expensive, and it's not their fault my brother is a broke college student. But basic customer service and communication go a long way. Unfortunately, based on this experience, we won't be returning or recommending this office.

It was a really great experience, especially with Dr. Bhinder. From the very beginning, Dr. Bhinder was extremely informative and detailed during Peach's checkup before her cleaning. He took the time to explain everything thoroughly, answered all of my questions, and genuinely helped ease my concerns, which I really appreciated. Honestly, this visit made me realize that this is the level of information and communication I should be receiving during a vet appointment. I felt much more informed and confident about Peach's care here that I'm strongly considering switching to this place as our main clinic. The staff was just as wonderful. They were attentive, kind, and clearly knowledgeable. They were very thorough throughout the entire process and made sure I understood what was going on every step of the way. One nurse went through the quote with me and let me know what to expect. She also told me to feel free to take my time and decide if I want to do the cleaning for Peach. I knew I could trust the team and decided to go through with it, so I had the cleaning scheduled. Dr. Bhinder personally called me to let me know when Peach would be ready for pickup and he even followed up the next day to check in on how she was doing. The level of care and follow-through truly stood out to me. After discharge, one of the nurses was refreshingly honest and even mentioned that Peach was a little feisty & tried to fight some of the staff during the procedure... but he also took the time to walk me through all of the aftercare details clearly and patiently. Overall, I felt listened to, supported, and reassured that Peach was in great hands. Because of the excellent care she received from the team, she now has some pearly white teef and no buildup/tartar! If you're looking for a vet team that is thorough, communicative, and genuinely cares about your pet, I would highly consider Curtner Pet Clinic & Hospital.

Our family lost a dog right before Christmas in 2024. He began exhibiting concerning symptoms, and late at night, an appointment was made to bring him in the following morning. Unfortunately, he didn't make it through the night, and his unexpected passing was incredibly devastating to us, especially because my brother, his primary caretaker, was working out of state and not able to be there in his final moments. The next morning, shortly before the scheduled appointment, I called to let them know what happened and apologize that we would be missing the appointment on such short notice. The woman on the phone was so incredibly kind and compassionate. She comforted me and let me know that we could bring him to them, and they would arrange his cremation, if that is what we wanted. My mother and I loaded him into the back of her van, devastated, and she drove him to San Jose Animal Hospital. Upon her arrival, the staff members promptly came outside, loaded our sweet beloved boy onto a gurney and took him inside. They hugged my mother and showed her a level of love and compassion that truly moved her to tears. The subject of payment was not brought up once at this time. They spoke with my brother over the phone and let him know all of the available options that he had and assured him that everything would be taken care of. The cost was very reasonable, and a few weeks later, Major's ashes were delivered to us in a beautiful urn, with a handwritten note of sympathy, his collar, and a paw print they had taken, things we had never even thought about in our state of grief. I truly appreciate the love that was shown to us during this time. Its taken me a while to leave them a review, only because it is a very sore subject. If this is the level of care they showed to our dog in death, I can only imagine how they treat the living pets in their care. Thank you so much.
