We had a good ole time with the family at The Golf Bar. We rented two booths side by side so that the littles could have one and the adults could too. I was glad to see that there were many games inside addition to golf, baseball, football and dodgeball to name a few. The staff was super friendly and helpful when we had questions or wanted to try different gear. I would gladly add another star if the food was slightly better. It was so so, nothing much to share. Give it a try!

We are from LA and came to SD for work Max helped us out today and he was very attentive and top tier customer service if we had any issue or questions he was there with a quick response! He created our first experience memorable! Definitely recommending and coming back in the near future!

The price was 55$ for one hour of play, we reserved online but they do take walk ins! The woman working was very sweet and walked us through how to work the simulators. The food was mostly small bites and shareable items: we ordered the full send pizza and the cheese bites w tomato soup. I can definitely see this being a great place to go with coworkers or friends/family! I believe it's asian owned--overall definitely it is a must visit if you're bored or need a night out

Came here for a team building with my company and loved it! We reserved 2 bays for 9 people, so we were able to play multiple games at a time. The simulator is really creative and you get to actually throw things and swing a golf club! The service was super nice and they were there to help at anytime if we had questions or wanted to order more food/drink. I was really happily surprised with the food here. The pretzel is a must-get, the buffalo cauliflower, buffalo pizza, and meat pizza are all really great choices! I also like that they offer soju here, which isn't usually offered at other bars. Highly recommend this place to hang out with your friends or for a company outing.

Great environment for a group to play a game of golf on a sim. Great selection of beers. The staff is awesome and the service was quick and effortless!

Very cool place to play some golf indoors. Service was great. Huge parking lot. You're welcome to bring your own clubs ofryou may choose to rent a set.

Had a wonderful experience here! Plentiful parking. The store is clean and spacious. While they accept walk-ins, it's a good idea to make a reservation by going online or calling. Pricing was $55 for 1 hour of game play. Golf clubs are available for rent for $10 for your entire party if you don't bring your own. They've got golf as well as other sports. We enjoyed the soccer and baseball as none of us had much experience golfing haha It was a fun time. The software worked pretty well. The service was outstanding. Super friendly and helpful without being overbearing. The food was great as well! The bratwurst and skillet cookie with ice cream were really tasty. The pricing was reasonable. Would definitely recommend this spot for something fun to do as a group!

Don't be like me and avoid this place thinking it's a Golf supply store.. This is a really innovative gaming experience! There are roughly 4-5 interactive screens that offer a variety of games such as Golf, Football, Soccer, Dodgeball, Baseball, and Circus Games. Real sporting equipment is used to hit, kick, or throw a ball into the screen and play a variety of games. We went with a group of 6 people and reserved the screens for 2 hours. At first I was worried that would be too much time, but we played all the way into our last minutes! I wouldn't recommend many more people than 6 because you want to make sure that everyone gets a chance to play. Staff were very friendly and gave us a tutorial on how to use the device and were always available if we had questions or needed help. There is a bar and a kitchen on site so you can eat and drink while you're waiting for your turn, which was great. Since there are limited number of screens, this place isn't crowded and overall it's a nice place to relax and catch up with your friends without trying to yell over loud music or stand uncomfortably in the corner of bar with sticky floors. The beer was cold and the food was hot, but nothing to write home about. I wouldn't come here just for the kitchen, but it was good enough to keep the belly full and fuel the gamer inside of you. If you're looking for a date night, bachelor party, birthday party, or just a new thing to do with friends or family, I recommend this place. It's SO much better than sitting around a table and drinking - you're getting mental and physical stimulation!

This place is awesome. The games are fun, but the reason it's so great is the staff. Jason and his team make the evenings enjoyable, competitive and fun. Even if you're not an avid golfer, there are so many games to play that make it enjoyable for everyone. This is a must visit for anyone looking for some fun in san diego!

Ask the Community - The Golf Bar

    Are the kids welcome?

HI Ana! All ages are welcome, though if you have a larger group of kids (over 5), we strongly recommend calling in to the store and having one of our associates help plan your outing! Thank you and we hope to see you soon.

Can you bring in your own food? The food options seem really limited.

Is there a difference between stimulator 1-4?

Good morning. Is this a place I can brin fb my 5 year olds with me?

Yes, I've seen groups of people rent two simulators. One for the kids and one for the adults so that their game play is not interrupted. Have also seen a small group with 1-2 kids and it was also fine with them all sharing

I loved the stained glass lights at the booths we sat at, they were super cute! We played foosball for a dollar which was fun while it lasted but it didn't give us enough balls to play an entire game. It's been pretty hot in sd and this place has a lot of large open windows that were all open, I usually love that feature but it was an abnormally humid night so we were all pretty hot and sweaty inside. Food was good with affordable prices too, we came here quite late at night, so we were limited to only their late-night menu, but everything was quite tasty, typical bar food. Our standout favorite was the maple sriracha wings for $10.61, their flavor is exactly like described and was a good balance of sweet and spicy! The Butter Burger $10.57 was good too but I think too rich and heavy for me. The prices were great tho! Parking is pretty terrible as is typical for downtown, but we walked from Punch Bowl Social and had Ubered to there at the beginning of the night. ---- Overall: a cool place to hangout, drink, and grab a bite late at night, I'm sad about not being able to play a whole game of foosball, but a generally great time

You have to be within 7 days of your requested reservation date so as soon as I was closer I set up a reservation through Open Table. I actually ended up calling the Tavern and Bowl to see if they had any earlier reservations and they told me if the person who requested an earlier time didn't pay the deposit I'd get the time slot. I am so lucky because these people didn't pay their deposit and we got the time and the lane. Cute thing, you can actually have kids come too, my niece who is 5 got to come along and they had a little device for her so she can push the ball, she ended up beating me. Everyone was so kind and service was so smooth and efficient, we got to bring donuts for our party and my husband and I ordered the carnitas nachos, they were delicious. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by an uplifting open-air environment, truly a breath of fresh air that felt like stepping onto the observation deck of the USS Enterprise. The amazing views of the bay were nothing short of spectacular, bringing a serene beauty that rivals the finest star systems. Over the years, my wife, her girlfriend, and I have become frequent travelers to this culinary haven, beaming back for nearly 15 years--a testament to its enduring allure. The selection of IPAs and mixed drinks is impressive, catering to even the most discerning palates in the galaxy. The choices are vast enough to satisfy anyone embarking on this flavor exploration, whether you prefer a refreshing drink to toast a successful mission or something bolder, like a phaser on stun! The menu features a delightful array of options, including fresh salads, tantalizing finger foods, and, of course, their famed burgers. My wife's enthusiasm for the offerings has always been infectious, and during this visit, she and her girlfriend were on a culinary adventure of their own, indulging in the flavors that have made Nicky Rottens a local favorite. The burgers are truly out of this world--juicy, flavorful, and expertly crafted to ensure a warp-speed experience with every bite.
