This office is terrible. They don't know what they're doing. Nicole and her Manager Logan are so clueless, they demanded paperwork from a Credit Union that would have in effect made my lease buyout look like a repossession to the State. Potentially devaluing my vehicle and leading to a branded Title. A branded Title cuts the value of the vehicle in half. This type of incompetency should not be allowed. Arrived about 5 minutes before opening to see a line already in front of the office. I was handed a number as I was transferring plates. There were 12 people in front of me but with three agents working it was moving at a nice pace. My agent Kim was pleasant and efficient. She quickly scanned my paperwork, answered all my questions. She calculated my taxes and within minutes I was writing a check, signing a few papers and out the door. She made the "dreaded DMV" a pleasant experience and she is a valued employee. read more

Not an efficiently run location. Waiiting time is generally excessive. 7/17/2025 i walked into a full room (on their slow day (thurs)). I waited one hour and 45 minutes and then their computer system went down at 4:55 pm. I asked at 4:30 what happens when it's 5 pm and they haven't called my number. They informed me that they still assist everyone in the door before 5 pm. I was apprehensive over what I was told and rightfully so as they blamed Jeff City and have no way to handling the people who have been there for hours. I don't mind waiting but 2 hours and more is ridiculous especially when they never get to you. read more

I went to the DMV off Telegraph by Taco Bell at 9:30 on 11/14 to get my drivers licence renewed. There was only 3 seats left. There must of been 50 people waiting. Only 3 employees working. I stayed for 20 minutes. In that time frame the renewal person took care of 1 person. I left and drove to Imperial DMV and was in and out so quickly. The drive there, getting my license renewed and the drive back only took me 40 minutes. The Telegraph DMV is not ran by the state. It's ran by someone else. No wonder they're so scappy! I've never had a bad experience at this location. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, they are always helpful if I forget documentation or need to bring in different paperwork. There was a little mix up with the number system this visit, but not worth getting upset about. Going to the DMV is never "fun", but it has always been a professional, and fairly quick experience at this facility. read more

Always room for improvement so can't give a 5. I moved to STL from Illinois a couple of years ago I always dreaded going to the DMV in Alton Long lines, rude staff. I've been to the Oakville DMV 4-5 times and have not problems. I've observed costumes being rude to staff. I've been there for things the last couple of days. The man that helped me yesterday was pleasant and gave me a good outline of what I needed to bring back to get my new car licensed. This place is the worst. Do you deliberately look for the most rude people? I went in to get plates for a new vehicle, but needed a waiver for my PP taxes. It was in the system. But the guy behind the counter wouldn't look it up. Said they don't do that sort of thing. I said, well High Ridge did it. He says, then go back to them. So I went 30 minutes out if my way. They looked it up for me, no big deal, and i got my plates. She said he could've done it too. Just didn't want to I guess. And it's not set up for handicapped people either. And the people there couldn't care less about that. Very incompetent, selfish people. read more

Without question, the most efficient, professional license office in the St. Louis area. The only time I've experienced problems in this office is when customers are ill-prepared and expect the license office workers to solve ridiculous problems for them. You can't hold the workers responsible for an ignorant population base!!!!! I have a license office 5 minutes from my house, but I drive the 15-20 minutes to the Oakville location, because even with 30 to 40 minutes roundtrip in traffic, I'm still in, out and back home more quickly than if I visited any other DMV provider. Went to the Oakville location - which I've had a positive experience before - to get my driver's license renewed. I had all the required documentation, the post card, and greeted the lady with a hello and a smile. There was absolutely no reason to be unprofessional and rude to me today. I would be fired if I treated customers in the manner. I normally try to renew online, but couldn't in this case. There's a sign on the wall behind the counter that says the can "reserve the right to refuse service if customers are belligerent or threatening. Perhaps you would not need this sign if the transaction didn't begin that way on your side of the counter. Yikes. read more

Everyone that went to the license desk with the blonde woman was sent away in tears, yet everyone that went to the man was given grace. It's one thing to be doing your job, but it won't hurt you to do it in a respectful way. I've never been talked to by another adult with the same tone and attitude this woman used. read more

This DMV licensing location is terrible. suggest the site located in Concord Village. The customer service is terrible, the communication of added information required to verify your identity is terrible. A simple address change for my Drivers License proved to be horrendous. My experience was so bad that I filed a complaint with the State. read more

The internet went down a few weeks ago. And I had been waiting outside for about an hour. They came out to tell everyone it was down. Came back the next day and at&t still hadn't made it in but there was a lady outside making sure everyone was told and taken care of. They have signs on the front door about if you're 65+ you can skip the line but everyone was kinda crabby about them skipping the line. But overall there wasn't anything the staff could really do but wait for at&t. read more

I went to the DMV located at 3164 Telegraph. They were fast, efficient and kept the line moving. Social distancing, masks and use of hand santizer were all adhered to. I had to renew license plate tags, my drivers license and had car title questions. I arrived at 3:20pm and I was in and out of the office in less than a half hour. This is the location I have always used since moving to Missouri 15 years ago and I have never had any issues. read more

Hands down the BEST experience I've ever had at a DMV. I saw the horrible reviews and realized it was the last day of the month so I went in expecting a long wait but was OK with it because I was close by. I walked in there was no line, the lady who helped me was cheerful and friendly and got everything done in less than 3 minutes and I was on my way. Super impressed!! read more

I have been to this location multiple times over the past month. Please do not use this office if you expect fast and friendly customer service. The employees I have encountered working on the Titling and Registration side are lacking customer service skills. One morning near start of business the line was out of the door because only one person was working in that area. Regardless of the time of day or day of the month, the place should be adequately staffed and the staff adequately trained to answer all questions in a timely manner so that those of us who cannot afford to wait around because of work, school, kids, etc. and especially for those who have an inability to stand for long periods of time can receive the service they deserve. I would particularly advise avoiding this office if you are military personnel or dependents. Very disappointing experiences at this office. read more

My experience with the Oakville office was terrible. Arrived at 11:45 and the line was down the sidewalk but moving steadily. At about 12:30 we were told that the internet was down and they had no idea how long it would take. By that time we were 3rd in-line to get inside. Also found out if your 65 or older you don't have to wait in-line but they don't tell you that. About 6 people were admitted inside at that point. No problem with that but it would be nice to know so all these people didn't have to wait in line. Finally at 2:15 we got an update - they were closing for the day because the internet (??) was down. They would not give us a line pass so we wouldn't have to wait the next time we came. A young woman in line said she was at this office last week and the same thing happened; poor thing to have to go through this frustration twice. So after 2-1/2 hours of waiting out in the summer heat I accomplished absolutely nothing! This office is contracted by Missouri and not run efficiently. No excuse for a poor system that must need upgrading or replacing and their lack of communication to their customers. read more

After I sold the car I took notice of sale (bottom part that is attached to title) to Oakville License Office so they can send that to main office. I asked lady that is working there if I should get some confirmation she say no you can just make copy and that is. Person that I sold car could not register because they could not find notice of sale in system which they claim that Jefferson main office did not put it yet after 4 weeks. I think that they never file up properly. I had to go down to office to notarize even though I had copy of notice of sale that I sold the car for that amount in order that buyer can register. People working down is so clueless and rude especially their lady manager who has no answer when you ask her something she just guess like if I am asking somebody on street. read more

Horrible. 10 people in line and staff stand around talking about their dinner last night not helping customers. The line is 10 deep and another gentleman is just staring off into space because there are no license plate customers when drivers license customers are out the door. Older lady with a walker had been standing for 15 minutes while they are oblivious to her obvious distress. Horrible service. read more

I went to Affton, had a great expearience, they had zero trouble getting my car licensed and were very quick! In and out in 5-10 minutes! read more
