He made a point to take a 3 day vacation and with me emailing him everyday and calling the funeral home. I was told no one could do anything except George. When I finally talked to George I was very upset and never wanted to talk to him again. I told George to stay in his office during the service or to not be there at all. But he made a point to try and shake my hand after the service and had one of his employees say something to my sister that should have never been said Ever! I think this company has a bunch of bigots working for them and I don't think they care at all. Bethany Calloway wants to talk about it. I want it in writing. The truth hurts Bethany. This was the MOST unprofessional experience I've had in a LONG time. Second, they screwed the obituary up - talking my father into the "free" obit in the B'ham News neglecting to make clear that it was only an 8 line obit. He took the trouble of listing all the children's names, etc. for them, and none of that was in the paper the day before the funeral. Not only that, the obit in the paper used her middle name because "her first name was too long and that would've created another line." They actually put another obit in Sunday's paper (the day AFTER the funeral) that was correct at thier own expense. The day of the funeral, we got there and her last name and birth date were incorrect on the prayer cards and the guest book. They had to scramble and reprint everything 30 minutes before the visitation started! NEVER AGAIN, BAD BUSINESS!

They politely offered add-on services, such as providing a guest sign-in book, but we declined and were able to purchase outside products without issue from them, saving us money. They worked with us on everything from my niece and me doing the hair and makeup, to order of service, etc. Jane Sanders was our Family Service Counselor (title on business card), and she was fabulous.
