Friendly waiters

Visiting Puerto Vallarta for the day. While we waited for the cigar shop to open we walked down to the "touristy" area. Pretty much the entire promenade is full of people trying to lure you into their businesses. This was not one of them. It looked like a local decent place, there was a large family eating here when we arrived. We were on a mom and daughter trip to Mexico and Puerto Vallarta was our favorite this stop was the icing on the cake! Alberto greeted us and told us about some of the area we had questions about. We had the guacamole and it was delicious! This place is worth going to even if that's all you order. We had a couple tequila drinks and beer - they brought the bottles and opened them in front of us which we appreciated. We watched our drinks being made as well. It was very humid and they were so nice to move a fan near us to keep us cool. All of the waitstaff were very friendly and polite. They even took photos for us. They were playing 90s music as well which was a good vibe. If you stop here - please tell the bartender Alexis that Destiny says Hi

Alberto is the best!

Love this place! I was on a trip with my mom staying in Nuevo Vallarta, and wanted to check out downtown PV for a few hours. Wish we had more time! We were walking around the boardwalk shopping, and I had to go to the bathroom so bad. Alberto was standing in the front of the restaurant greeting new customers & people passing by. He let me use the restroom and we told him we would be back later to eat. He also gave us great advise! Unfortunately, the same day we decided to visit, there was a cruise ship anchored, so all of the prices for the shops would be raised. He told us to go down to the flea market area, and gave great directions. Later we came back to the restaurant for some food. We shared the guacamole & carne asada tacos. Omgggg! Sooo good! And the lemonade is the best I have ever had my whole life! Alberto was so amazing! We had a server who was great too, but he would still come to check on us & chit chat a little. He definitely made the experience so great because he is so funny! It was nice to meet somebody fun & down to earth in Mexico & this area because a lot of the time walking around the guys outside restaurants were trying to be pushy & lure us in for timeshare meetings. I feel like people expect the price of food to be dirt cheap when visiting Mexico. The restaurant was reasonably priced. The location is great and has a beautiful view. I know from a conversation with Alberto about jewelry shop a few doors down, he said the jewelry is probably more expensive than I wanted because they have expensive beach front overhead to pay for. I'm sure this restaurant has the same situation. Also, after eating, we were on a bit of a tight schedule to get back to Nuevo Vallarta. Alberto went out of his way to call us a taxi, help direct us, and locate the driver on the street. Such a huge help! It would have taken us forever to get a taxi in that area. When I come back to PV I will definitely stay downtown instead and come back to eat here. Thanks again Alberto!! Your the bomb!

Ok here we go!! We were just walking in town area looking at shops and some of us were hungry and we're gonna goto the flea market upstairs to go eat but we bumped into the oasis bay restaurant! There is another review area of this place but I decided to leave review on this one !! The people were very nice and there were 6 of us so I knew if it wasn't good someone would say something!! So some of us got fish and or shrimp tacos and the Molcajete with shrimp and veggies . Also the rib eye tacos plus shrimp cocktail and another molcajete with guacamole and also drinks like Cadillac margaritas beer and other cocktails. Overall talking to everybody that was with us. The food was pretty dang good. Kind of surprising to me not ever being here before but very tasty very authentic and a great atmosphere. So again if you are in this area and you're looking for something good not too pricey. Go check this place out you will not be disappointed. Also I will be putting pictures up of a few things that I took while I was there.

Tequila ice cream and a little bit of coffee ice cream on the bottom

We stumbled upon this little hole in the wall while drunkenly strolling down the promenade... looking for more bars to check out. We went inside to see the ice cream selection. TEQUILA ice cream. Yeah, I said it. And yeah, they make it. And yes, it's f*cking divine. I had half a scoop of the tequila flavor and half coffee on a waffle cone. It was seriously delicious and very cheap too :). The girls working the joint at midnight were quite lovely as well. They were both very sweet and helpful as far as booking our zip line adventure. Anyway, when writing this review, I couldn't find this place on Yelp or trip advisor which makes it slightly more awesome in my book.

OMGosh excellent food and view! We stopped here twice on our trip and the waiter remembered us- excellent customer service! Met the owner, talked for a while, giving tips on area and food. Queso funDiDio is fantastic and so is guacamole. Nice 80's music!

Extremely Bad Service. The waiter confirmed the order and still did not get it correct. Food is subpar. Go somewhere else.

Clearly marked vegan options. Staff aware of what is vegan and what can be made. The vibe inside is clean and really good. The service was really great. And the best part food and beverages - there is nothing we could find that was off. The mini churros were freshly made and came to us within a minute after that. The two vegan dips - peanut butter and strawberry jelly went so well together. The family tells me the condensed milk was very good as well. The Canadiano (black) was amongst the best we have had. The brew was so smooth and tasted just perfect. No bitterness or sourness and the temperature was perfect. The vegan Iced Chai Latte with soy milk was unlike any chai latter we have had. The spices were warm and drink cold and a hint cinnamon, cardamom and cloves - OMG. We were so impressed that we came the very next day and had the same thing again.

We finally made it in for some churros. We had no idea they existed as their facade seamlessly…read moreblends in with neighboring businesses even though we've walked by numerous times. ATMOSPHERE: Cool and clean intimate cafe with a few seats. MENU: Salads, paninis, churros, cafe-style beverages and some alcohol. DESSERT: Churro Cup Choose a gelato flavor and topping. I opted for vanilla which went well with the generous amount of mini churros piled on top and declined a topping. The churros had good, creamy flavor, but were a bit too firm for my liking either due to their thinness or simply overcooked. SERVICE: Excellent. Very welcoming and friendly with follow up in between. TIP: Closed on Tuesday's; hours are 1p - 9:50p. OVERALL: Nice variety of churro combinations.
