I got a call this morning that I missed my appointment so they were going to charge me over $100 since I didn't call to cancel my appointment. I had a gift certificate for over 3 years, knew a great facialist who was here. I had to cancel the day before at 5 pm for the next day appointment at 2 and was told i'd probably be charged for 50% of the service if it wasn't rebooked. it wasn't, go figure, of course. They charged my card on file instead of just using the gift card on file. I called to have the charge removed and take the balance of the card. I'm keen to be done with this place. So we will see if it's reversed and charged to the GC, and i also wonder how low the customer base has dropped to warrant this policy. I'm certainly glad to be done with them. Oasis Spa is the kind of place I look for to be pampered. You go in and they give you a key to a locker so you can get yourself a robe, slippers and lockup your items while you are having your spa services. I started off with a manicure which I had not had for 9 months due to the pandemic but I felt very safe there as there were only 2 manicurists. I then had a sap pedicure and sitting in the massage chair while having my feet done was a treat. Then came the facial and the girl doing the facial did a great job. The room was quiet, the spa music was going, she recommended a certain type of facial for my skin and I felt great after leaving. The other thing about this establishment is they went out of their way to accommodate me. I had an appt on Saturday but I asked to move all of my appointments to Friday and they squeezed and maneuvered me in! I had to sit with my feet in the pedicure station for maybe a 1/2 hour longer but that was not a problem for me. Two women at the front desk there to greet you and guide you as to where you are supposed to go after you check in. It was a lovely day and I look forward to going back! read more

I reviewed a massage from Samantha yesterday and it was by far the best massage I have ever received! You walk in off the busy streets of Weymouth and feel like you're in a different world. Being a hairdresser and dog mom, my upper back is always a little tense. Samantha took extra time on this area and even offered me advice on how to fix my uneven shoulders with breathing exercises and to switch up which hand I use walking my dogs to help my problem. Samantha took her time during the massage and even recommended the peppermint scalp massage which is a must! From the first moment of the phone call to schedule to walking out I felt like a highly valued customer as a first time customer! I recently had a facial with Liliana. I had never had one before so I did not know what to expect. It was such an amazing experience and I was so relaxed at the end, I almost needed to call an Uber to take me home. My skin hasn't looked this good in years. Before leaving for vacation, I decided to have my eyelashes and eye brows tinted. I've had this done elsewhere and was always uneasy with the process (there's usually a point in the process where it feels like "cold, wetness" is seeping through your lashes and into your eyes -- it isn't, but it's always a bit unpleasant). I had Jen for this service, and I can say unequivocally that I will return for touch-ups! First, she was very attentive and ensured my comfort throughout the whole procedure. Second, I never felt that "cold, wet" feeling as I've always felt elsewhere, before. She used (what felt like) an individual toothpick for each lash on which to apply the color versus "brushing" on the dye. Because of this, as I said, I never experienced that "wet" feeling. Awesome! Next, she tinted my brows. I didn't think I had a lot of brows left (due to age and over-plucking), but after she was done, she told me I did, indeed, have a lot of eye brows - they're just super light. By the time I was done (about 20 minutes, or so; I don't remember the exact amount of time spent), my lashes looked long and lush, and my eyebrows were noticeable again! Even better, every day on vacation I was able to just wake-up-and-go! I didn't feel the need to put any make up on. LOVED this experience and will DEFINITELY return! read more

After having worked on a large project at work, I thought I would treat myself to a reflexology treatment. All I can say is from the start to finish I felt as though I was interrupting the important business of the salon. My appointment was on a week day and when I arrived the ladies working at the front desk greeted me and asked me to take a seat. As obviously a new client going into the system, you think friendliness would be a priority. Nope. Other ladies coming out of their services were greeted with smiles, laughter and conversations. I felt like a stranger in a strange place. It was very odd. I was the only one there. I waited. And waited. I waited for ten minutes past my appointment time. When my therapist arrived, we proceeded to the room. She was nice and the treatment was fine. I have had other reflexology treatments, as I actually prefer them over body massages, scrubs and wraps. It's not like my feet aren't manicured, so they're not difficult to work with however, I couldn't help feeling like I was putting them out about the whole process. It actually ran through my head that I was glad I didn't book another treatment to coincide with this one and make an afternoon out of it, because with the prickly gut feeling of the environment of the spa, it wasn't relaxing. My fiancé bought me a facial package for my birthday. This being my first tome getting one I was slightly nervous as I do tend to have very sensitive skin. When I walked in I was greeting nicely and told that Christine would be right with me. I sat in their waiting area which has several comfortable seats and products all around. Christine came out and introduced herself to me, asked me some basic questions and then left me to change into the wrap. She came back in and explained everything step by step as she was doing it, she had great bedside etiquette. She consistently made sure I was comfortable throughout the whole process. Made an appointment 3-4 months in advance for my husband and I. This was how far they were booking out! Had a gift certificate. We finally get to our appointment today (couples massage - I am pregnant so was really looking forward to a relaxing pre natal massage with my hubby). Our appointment time passes, we are still sitting and waiting. Finally the woman at the front desk informs us that one of our massage therapists isn't coming in today. Zero heads up. One female at the front desk was pretty rude, implying that they were having a conversation about it up at the front desk, and we should have heard them. 1. I won't apologize for NOT eavesdropping on your conversation. 2. For a business that pressed a charge for cancellation fee 48hrs in advance, we should have been given adequate heads up as well. He took the time to ask me questions about what was bothering me and were there any areas to focus more on, was there any places to be "extra careful" on. That was so important to me because I have a torn meniscus in my knee and was afraid the massage would hurt-it but it was the total opposite. Mike explained everything he was going to do. He was extremely knowledgable about my knee injury and he absolutely made it feel better. He was just so professional and polite and friendly. I took the day and booked the Retreat package: facial, massage, mani-pedi. It was my first time and I absolutely loved it! I've been to a couple spas in downtown Boston - pros and cons to both. The pros to the Boston spas is that they are more luxurious in terms of waiting rooms, having showers & steam rooms. Oasis spa is more functional, but the services and employees that they have are amazing. I loved every one of my services and didn't have to deal with the travel to & from Boston. I wish I could leave a poor review, if only to ensure I can continue to get appointments easily! But alas, I would be remiss if I did not give credit to the very knowledgeable and talented massage therapist, Joy. I had been to Oasis once before, a couples massage which was relaxing and pleasant. They have a nice private room for it, with a bathroom. If you are looking for a relaxing massage, this was great. This massage was different though, from the start Joy listened to my physical problems and addressed them so well. She explained reasons for my various issues as she did the massage, worked on them with stretching and pressure, and also gave practical advice for working on them independently, after the massage. Honestly it was not the most relaxing experience ever, but I feel much much better physically, which to me is more important given I have real problems. I would liken if more to going to a homeopath or a sports massage therapist willing to spend a full hour working on me, which to me, is a much rare thing. Anyone can put on relaxing music and make you feel relaxed on a warm table, but to actually pinpoint and address real problems, is a different thing entirely and Joy is such a rarity. Also a professional point,she did not push me in any way to make an appointment, she didn't have to, I hadn't planned on it when I went in but I went out and did it immediately, and made one for my boyfriend too, I felt so much better. I docked a star because of the front desk and hospitality. I don't understand why transactions take so long there but despite having two people there, there was always a line. I decided not to bother waiting and sat down. It took 10 minutes for them to deal with 4 people, and no one checked in with me at that time, I had to go up and do it. When I was leaving after making appointments, I turned around to ask a question and the person behind the counter was already texting. Maybe I'm old fashioned, but I feel like if customers are present, that's just not ok. Oh and the styrofoam cup/paper cone water thing, not my favorite. for the high end prices, actual bottles of water would be nice, or even fruit infused water. It's pretty and delicious, and gives front desk something to do other than text! Those things are small though, compared to how impressed I was with the massage and Joy's professionalism! The gem of Oasis Day Spa is Kathleen, the massage therapist. I have used several services at Oasis and massage with Kathleen is by far my favorite and the best in quality, in my opinion. She is a very gifted therapist with not only tremendous technical knowledge about the body's muscular system, but also an intuitive and friendly approach in which she's able to customize each client's experience to what their body needs. I always leave her sessions feeling "healed", relaxed, and much more aware of what my body needs and how to prevent muscle strain through my job and day to day usage of my body. I give the salon 3 stars because of what previous reviewers have also mentioned - some of the staff needs to be more aware of their level of professionalism when either a) behind the front desk, or b) providing a pedicure. Clients do not want to hear personal conversations among the staff..it is distracting during what clients value as part of their salon "escape" time. There are also some employees who use alot of sarcastic humor with clients, which, depending on the client, can be annoying and uncomfortable. I think salon service providers should take cue from the clients as to how much or what types of conversations are ok to engage in during a service..sometimes people just want an hour of quiet. The pedicures themselves are enjoyable and I think appropriately priced, the salon should just be more aware of the impression employees are creating with clients with catty, sarcastic, and unprofessional conversations during treatment. read more

My sweet mother in law set me up with an entire spa day here yesterday and I couldn't have asked for more! I should mention that I am 38 weeks pregnant and really have never had an entire day devoted to relaxation like I did yesterday. The staff were all so sweet to me and accommodated to my needs. I received a facial, a prenatal massage, a pedicure and a manicure. All services were completely relaxing and well done. The lunch they include in the package was a very nice touch too. From the professionalism of all the staff, the cleanliness and nicely decorated hallways/rooms... I will definitely be referring friends! I've gone here for a couple of different treatments. Waxing, pedicures, and fake tan application. The fake tan application was nice. You get your whole body exfoliated first before having the tanning lotion applied during a massage. It's very relaxing, in fact I went home and took a nap after. The waxing is also very nice. You are in one of the relaxing massage rooms on a comfortable table. For eyebrows they use wax that doesn't require paper strips. This ensures that it all comes off and doesn't clog your pores. The other waxing I had was more personal but the esthetician was very polite and helpful, especially for first timers. The pedicures are wonderful there. Much better than the average nail salon. Aromatherapy and chairs, that did not automatically "massage" as found in many nail salons (more like punching your back), were very comfortable. They also offered a free paraffin wax as it was my first pedicure there. They do have many many more services and their prices are reasonable. Try it out or give it as a gift, you can't go wrong. read more

I can only speak to the "nails" on this one as I did not have any other services... but about those NAILS! FABOOSH! I called late like around 6:30pm on a Friday looking for an emergency manicure. The put me in, which was a RELIEF! When I got there the atmosphere is wonderful. Decor and setting is well maintained, current and relaxing. The front desk staff was prompt and courteous. I had Jen as my manicurist (is that the correct terminology?). She was very friendly and up-beat even at 7pm! The nails came out AMAZING, enough to prompt me to YELP. They had many high end nailpolishs and colors (lavender is in my friends!) She was gentle and the shape was perfect. It is a week (I KNOW!) later and my nails are red carpet worthy STILL! The only reason for the 4 stars is, in my opinion, 18 dollars for a standard manicure is steep. If it were say 15 so with 5 for tip we get to 20 it would be 5 stars for sure! This particular review however is for my wedding makeup with Eileen: She did such a marvelous job it was outrageous! She was a soothing and calming person to be with on such a big day and both my sister and my makeup was totally fabulous. I wanted a glam style with a sophisticated cat eye, false lashes, the whole bit. Eileen nailed it. My makeup was classic and glamorous, while still looking somewhat natural- not overwhelming in the least. She is a delight. I wish I had to get my makeup done more often because I would go back.
