Grilled cheese & tomato bisque
Ashley F.

Decent food inside the Safari Park. Oasis Deli offers both inside and outside seating. The menu was slightly limited & consisted of a few sandwiches and salads, as well as soup. I got a grilled cheese with tomato soup. The soup was delicious and the grilled cheese was pretty standard, no complaints. Decent serving sizes. Service was pretty quick and the staff was friendly.

Here is the menu, a lot of good choices.

This is one of the bigger food stops at the Safari Park. I think it is the best location to get a bite, but that is because they cater to my needs here. Your best bet is a Caprese sandwich in the summertime when the luscious tomatoes are bursting with flavor and fresh basil is used instead of lettuce. They also sell vegetable wraps tabouli and citrus salad. I love it when restaurants do not consider herbivores as an afterthought! We like to eat too and appreciate a little variety. But if you are set on some meat they offer Steak, ham and turkey so bring the family, there is something here for everyone.

$7 fruit cup

Oasis Deli can easily be missed because it's dwarfed by the Mombasa Cooker and Snack Shack next door. There are a few ready to grab options, but most everything can be made right there fresh for you as you wait. While the Oasis Deli is not as glamorous as dining at the other themed options in the park, nothing is wrong with eating a sandwich. It might be your best lighter option too. - The $7 fruit bowl (see picture) is a refreshing choice on a HOT day at the park.

Vegan BLT with side of potatoes
Paula S.

First off, nice place for an air-conditioned lunch. Quiet and cool setting. Friendly customer service. Super excited to find a vegan option. However, the sandwich was not very good at all. The avocado spread tastes bitter and the potatoes for the side were not cooked. They were crunchy and our daughter actually asked if they were apples.

Does anybody feel like $70 is acceptable for 3 sandwiches, 3 chips and 3 drinks is too much?. Me too, I would pass on this rip.

There is truly nothing like it. Their sandwiches are incredible! Flavorful, filling, and always a great portion size. And don't even get me started on their breakfast burritos. It's honestly a shame they only serve them until around 10:30-11am, because they're that good. You can really tell they know what they're doing when it comes to solid, house-made, deli-style meals. One of the best things about Meadows Deli Market is the consistency. I can rely on the food being amazing every single time, which is not an easy thing to pull off, and they've absolutely nailed it. The market itself is also great. They have so many options, and I can always count on them when I need something in a pinch. They even have a section dedicated to European and specialty foods, which is always fun to explore. The service is truly outstanding. Everyone is incredibly kind, welcoming, and professional, and there's just a really nice family-style atmosphere when you walk in. It's mostly a grab-and-go type of place, but the care and friendliness always stand out. I mean it when I say nothing compares to this market. If you're looking for great pizza, sandwiches, or....you're lucky enough to catch them in time for a breakfast burrito, this is the place, 100%. So thank you to Meadows Deli Market for serving our community and being such a long-standing staple in the area!!!

Not sure what happened late yesterday with the sandwiches. They were soaking wet on the bottom of each one. Even the one without lettuce and tomato. I believe they add dressing to their sandwiches but it's never been an issue. Each sandwich also didn't have the requested extra mayo (maybe they put extra dressing instead?). I called today to ask if there were any issues with other sandwiches and the manager said no. He said i should have ordered the sandwiches with dressing on the side next time and he couldn't offer to remake them for a future visit (we live 30 min away so it's a far drive). So there's two 12inch uneaten sandwiches oh well. We've ordered many times from them and the staff has always been amazing. Maybe it was placing the order late in day on Easter Sunday but bummer the manager today was dismissive and put blame on us.

We both ordered breakfast burritos which comes eith two meats, but I asked if we can sub the meats for avocado, and my wish my granted. They make it with eggs, a hashbrown patty, cheese, and your choice of 2 meats (ham, bacon, sausage, or turkey). They also offer a spicy delicious red salsa. I enjoyed it - it's smaller than your typical taco shop burrito, but it's still filling. Yes, I'm talking to you America! The only thing, for me, is the eggs needed salt. My husband had meat in his, so he describes that the saltiness from the bacon/ham complements the other components of the burrito. So, I say this, but still everything else was perfect. The eggs were fluffy, the tortilla was chewy and heated perfectly, the cheese choice was great, and they gave me a satisfactory serving of avocado. All in all, I'll consider dropping by for breakfast during the week too. Service was friendly and they've got a good team working in the kitchen.

They serve a fair variety of sandwiches and other little items to buy such as coffee and cookies. The location is small with about a total of 5 seating areas including both inside, and out. For service they're all very friendly since it's primarily the family owners who serve you. You go up to the front and place your order and they'll bring the food you order to your table, they do close early since this is a breakfast spot first and foremost, so expect to arrive early if you want to eat here. I usually order The Works in a half since a full size sandwich is well over $20, excluding any additions or substitutions you may make. The sandwich does taste really good, but it does come at a steep price. They've grown in popularity over the years, which may have influenced their pricing (by a lot) which in my opinion does outweigh it's value. While I do enjoy my infrequent visits, I can say this location is more of an occasional treat, as opposed to a constant meal to be had often.

After trying both, my wife made me go back and pick up a jalapeno cream cheese. All three were fantastic. The bagels, cream cheese, and the hospitality is what stood out for me. While I wish I could frequently visit this place to become a "regular customer", Napa is a little too far away. I do recommend people in the area to give this place a visit if you're looking for a bagel. It is definitely a go to spot. I did spy them making a sandwich and they also looked delicious. There is a religious or communal aspect behind The Yellow Deli, and I do not claim to know or understand all of it, nor do I need to. What I do love and admire is the home grown, homemade, back to nature feel of their community and how much of that care and love clearly shows up in the food, the space, and the overall experience.
