I was greeted by friendly office staff, & the woman that called me back was very pleasant. She was attentive, making certain that she listened carefully & making certain she understood my concerns. She offered me a blanket & a warm, neck pillow. The overall nuance of the place reminded me of my stay at the Howard-Johnson Hotel on the Disney strip in Anaheim, CA (it was a great experience). Since I was able to obtain my x-rays from the previous dental office, Oasis only required one more x-ray to get a different view of a bothersome tooth. It was a quick trip in & out, but I've never in my 40+ years of life been treated with such consideration in a dental office. I made the entire staff aware that I have anxiety, & they treated me with care w/o being patronizing. In my experience that's rare in most professional settings. I was referred to a specialist because of the extenuating circumstances, & Oasis isn't equipped for surgical procedures. I recommend Oasis, & I've decided that these folks are going to be stuck w/me as a patient for a very long time. read more

I wouldn't recommend this dentist: 1. When I had my tooth implant done 2 years ago, two assistants spent 45 minutes trying to put in some metal part right before the dentist installed the final implant. I finally had enough and requested that Dr. Owen do it because I almost swallowed the metal part if I didn't catch it. 2. After a year of pushing me to get a night guard so that my implant can last longer, according to Dr. Owen, I finally agreed to have it, which cost me $300 last November. I couldn't get used to it for a couple of months, and I set it aside. I spent $300 for it, and I can't just let it sit, so I finally forced myself to wear it nightly for one week in March this year, and I noticed that my gums were swollen and inflamed. So I went back to have Dr. Owen check, and I learned that the inflammation was caused by the ill-fitting of the nightguard that dug into my gums. However, I could feel a big gap after the adjustment; it doesn't fit like it should have been, but I didn't complain to them during my recent cleaning in May. I received a bill today stating that I needed to pay $54 out of the $108 billed to the insurance company as an "Evaluation " charge in March. I called and questioned "why I'm responsible for paying for the 'evaluation' that was made to adjust for the ill-fitting of the night guard. They said they had to charge for the evaluation first before they could adjust the night guard, which shocked me to hear that. If they had scanned the mold correctly to begin with, I wouldn't have had to go through the pain in my gums and return for such adjustment on the nightguard, would I? What's the cause and the effect of this visit ? Was it me who caused the swollen/ inflamed gums or was the effect of ill-fitting nightguad I ordered from them ? I always pay my bills but I can't pay for something that's not caused by me. During my recent visit I expressed my concerns of the quality of their stuff under previous owner, and I was going to give them a chance to stay with them for the new ownership uder Dr. Owen. Now I will definitely go somewhere because of their unfair billing practices. read more

My family and I were patients for years without any problems. Minor complaints but I loved my hygienist and that was everything to staying. Then my adult daughter was told it was time to get her wisdom teeth out even though they were not bothering her. Dr. Aldridge performed the surgery without giving her the option to seek care with a specialist. It went completely sideways and the staff did nothing to help until it was too late. My daughter had a major infection and had to have additional procedures under general anesthesia with a specialist. The staff lacked experience and empathy. Seek a specialist whenever doing major dental surgery. Needless to say we are looking for a new dentist. read more

Overall pretty good place. Had a routine cleaning done and the hygienist chipped my bottom tooth during the cleaning but didn't say anything about it and when I noticed and felt the newly exposed bone she acted like she had no idea and continued to act like she had no idea that it happened up until I left my appointment. They couldn't get me in for another two weeks to fix it so I had jagged tooth bone rubbing against my tongue for a couple weeks. Fixed it and it feels fine now. They're pretty nice people. read more

I have a pretty major phobia of the dentist office, so when I saw that Oasis does sedation dentistry, I figured this would be the place for me. And I was right! Everyone here is so wonderful and accommodating, and listens to me when I say something is bothering me or hurts. I would like to thank Dr Aldridge for his time and for taking such good care of me today. The crown that they had made for me a year and a half ago came off because it wasn't sitting correctly on the tooth it was made for. It had always given me problems but I lived with it and figured it was normal. That is - until it came off. Anyway they squeezed me in on very short notice and then Dr Aldridge took his time with his examination until he determined I needed a completely new crown made. The office was busy but they didn't rush me in and out just for the sake of being fast. I could tell he really wanted to get it right. I feel confident it will be done correctly and I am immensely grateful for the time he spent but also for his honesty that the old crown wasn't good and that they would replace it free of charge. Which is great news because I don't have insurance for a new crown. The only disappointment here is for the sole fact that the original crown didn't last. The crown I had before this one lasted me about 12 years with no problems other than it not being aesthetically pleasing. But who knows, that could be the company who makes the crowns, not this dentist office itself. What I do know is that Dr Aldridge has really done good by me for fixing this problem at no charge. I went in for fillings in my front top teeth on May 1st at 5PM. I'm always really anxious when I go to the dentist because of past experiences. Dr. Aldridge was my Dentist on that day and everything went smooth during my appointment. Later that evening when the numbing started to wear off I realized I had 2 cuts on my top lip that neither him nor the dental asst told me about. Today they are just painful and look like cold sores. Also, it's been 6 days and my top lip and nose still feel funny (like the numbing is still wearing off). Every time I call they give me the run around and say the Dr will call back but I've yet to hear from anyone. Lastly, 1 of the 4 people I talked to did tell me they used topical anesthetic/lidocaine during my procedure. That is the only thing that I'm allergic to and I did verify it was on my file. I will never go back there again and I will never refer (actually suggest) people steer clear of this practice. I am so grateful I found this place! I'm a complete adult baby when it comes to dental or medical procedures but dr. Aldridge and all of the staff have completely changed my views on going to the dentist. Don't get me wrong, I still request the numbing cream before being poked by the big needle and usually have to take something mild for anxiety but they always make me feel comfortable. I've been to places that made me feel rushed, not heard, and treated like a crazy lady for having such fears of needles. Very unsatisfactory service for Invisalign's. I didn't know I was their guinea pig. I met with Dr Aldridge and it was identified I needed Invisalign. Since I'm older, I did a lot of research on this and decided yes let's do it. In the first few weeks of the product I researched and purchased what is called the Accelledent product that accelerates your progress from two weeks to one week. It costs $900 for this tool. So we continue on at a quick pace and all looks good. Now we are at end and I say hey wait, the one area is still completely crooked. He acted like he didn't know what I was referring to. So he cut into my last Invisalign tray to accommodate moving my tooth down and put a big anchor on my tooth to help pull it down. In a matter of weeks the tray broke in two under the stress of the cut and the rubber band. I call them immediately to get another tray. In July they said ok we will order it but it will take two weeks. Then I called and I was told not in yet. Then I waited a month and called in and the receptionist said not in yet and WE will call you when it's in. Then sept came. Now if I didn't have resources of my own to find another tray, my teeth would have all been crooked again. Now my one area is pretty straight no thanks to them, and I need to order a retainer from someone and get the cement hooks still off my teeth. So on top of all that I paid, I now need to pay someone else for more work. So it should have taken what? 6 months? And with the gadget that worked amazingly it should have taken 4 months. Now I'm going on 11 months. I will never set foot in that establishment again!! Update--the Dentist called me to make it right after learning of this review. I am starting to work with them again because I need this program for my teeth finished. 12/30 UPDATE - I upped the stars to three. They are a nice office and nice people. I honestly think they are too busy for their own good AND maybe too new at Ortho work. With that said, Dr. Aldridge tried really hard to make this right and i applaud him for that. I give him two stars extra because of this. Sadly bottom line is I am an older person who chose braces - but in this case Invisaligns. The issues I had with my teeth were necessary on the bottom and for cosmetic reasons on the top. The cosmetic area was VERY important to me - and were not fixed. So all this money spent and the medical need is 100% complete, but not the cosmetic need. And now I have this Vivera retainer that states I need to wear full time for a while and they hurt like "HE$%" because my teeth (ortho wise) have been neglected for so long. :( My advice to Dr. Aldridge is to listen to your patient and don't forget what they want fixed - so outcome can be positive. read more

Covid-19 Protocol - Disappointed I called and discussed Oasis Covid-19 Protocol in advance of my cleaning appointment. (My wife and I are in the vulnerable population) I was told lobby was not being used. Anyone w/o mask is offered one. Wait in car and they will let you know when hygienist is ready for you. What I experienced: I was told my hygienist was ready for me and to come in, to my surprise there were three teenagers sitting together in the lobby w/o wearing masks. Upon completion of my cleaning, a woman w/o a mask was at the counter chatting and paying her bill on her way out, the same three teenagers w/o masks still in the lobby, and an older gentleman w/mask also waiting in the lobby. I voiced my disappointment to the office staff only to hear several poor excuses. My take away: This Dentist Aldridge/Oasis has a long way to go before they can honestly offer a safe & honest environment to those who take the Covid-19 epidemic seriously and care enough about themselves and others. My suggestion, offer 1 day a week for only those who are willing and care enough to wear a mask. Last but not least - Be honest with your clients. My spouse and I used Oasis Dental 3 years ago and both had terrible experiences (e.g. broken crowns needing replacement, temporaries falling off, abscesses, etc.) We moved on to another dentist and had normal experiences again. The one exception in my case is the molar crown that Oasis did for me 3 years ago. I am writing this review now because that tooth is *still* giving me problems. My sister volunteered with Dr. Aldridge a few times and recommended him to me while I was looking for a new dentist. Since then I have came in twice, once for a cleaning and another for filling replacements. Dr. Aldridge and his staff are great. The dental assistants are attentive and chatty but they won't force conversation on you. Plus, they don't make my mouth sore after a cleaning. Dr. Aldridge answered all of my questions and concerns. He seems to know what he is doing and I trust him with my teeth. They will offer you coffee if they think you will have to wait for a while. I was new to town and looking for a new dentist. After my wife had to have a quick root canal and Dr. Aldridge was able to accommodate on short notice. I went and had my cleaning there and his staff was nothing short of fantastic. I was able to setup my appointment easily, went in and started directly on time. To start with the hygenist explained the entire process and timeline so I knew what the whole appointment would look like. I am very, very nervous at the dentist and she was great in easing some my stress starting the appointment. Throughout they were friendly and the office is all state of the art. To finish the appointment after setting up a thorough care plan the Dr. involved me in what he was saying, and explained everything that was going on, from start to finish he explained the recommended care plan, and why he wanted to complete each step. I'm very hesitant going to a new dentist without any recommendations from family or friends. My husband and I moved here in Vancouver a year ago from Idaho. We haven't seen a dentist for a little over a year because we were very concerned about profit driven clinics that recommend (or push) to get unnecessary procedures done to our teeth. I've done a rigorous amount of research on yelp and google, as well as contacting my insurance to make sure that I covered my basis in terms of expenses and made a decision to check this place out. Before we moved here my previous dentist told me that if my new dentist recommended a certain procedure done to my teeth, that I should find a new one, because it doesn't need to be fixed and that whoever recommended it he or she just wants to make extra cash and rip me off. Hence, why I am very cautious in finding a right dentist. When I walked in this clinic and the staff members were very nice and did a great job in doing my routine checkup and cleaning (I observed and made sure that they were doing exactly what my previous dentist has done, to ensure that I don't get ripped off). Dr. Aldridge was great and didn't recommend any procedures that I haven't heard before, and that my teeth and gums were healthy. That left a good impression on me because this shows that this clinic is honest and transparent to their patients. I highly recommend coming here if this is covered in your network. read more

Went in today to Oasis Dental for my first teeth cleaning and checkup and have just recently moved to Vancouver, Washington. I must say this is the best experience I've ever had from a dentistry!
