Visited this cute, cozy diner on New Year's Day and my party of three was seated immediately. I ordered a crab omelette, which came with toast and home fries. The service was attentive, and we were able to place our order fairly quickly upon deciding. I knocked off a star because we ordered two pancakes for the table, but recieved three. When we immediately let the server know, she did not acknowledge the mistake or attempt to amend it. We already had a lot of food, so we ordered two because we knew we wouldn't be able to finish more than that. I did enjoy my omelette - I've never had a crabmeat omelette before and as a pescatarian, I was glad to see that option on the menu. It was flavorful and there was a substantial amount of crabmeat tucked inside. The pancakes were a bit dry and dense, so not our favorite. Overall, it was a nice, filling meal to start the year. read more

It's hard to mess up omelettes but I did not like the alpine omelette. It looked like it would be delicious and I had high hopes. But the onions were all different sizes so there were some huge chunks of onion that were not fully cooked. Also, the middle of the omelette had a spot of runny egg whites. I'm personally not a fan of that slimy texture but I know some people are okay with it. The home fries were just okay, the crispy pieces were the best part. Otherwise, there wasn't much flavor. The toasted rye bread was not good. It was too dense and left a weird aftertaste. I could only eat two bites before giving up. The pancakes were dry and I could've passed on it. I normally only eat pancakes with butter but the butter didn't taste right so I had to use a ton of syrup to make the pancakes taste better. read more

Came here on a Thursday morning as a walk-in. We were seated almost immediately by the windows. The lighting was perfect. Well, almost perfect until they brought us the order of 3 golden brown pancakes instead of the original 2 we ordered. Even though we clearly specified 2 golden brown pancakes, the order was mistaken for 3.This was not fixed and the server specified that we did not order using the words "short stack" which felt frustrating because I knew I was clearly saying 2. Other than that, the Alpine omelet was great. There's something about the combo of bacon, onions, and mushrooms that never disappoints. The toast it came with wasn't that great and not sure if that's due to the rye or due to the butter. The coffee was good. The pancakes were not that great. Highly recommend the Alpine omelette. If you just want 2 pancakes, make sure you specifically say short stack. read more

I've been coming to this diner for years and the food is always pretty on point. Service is decently fast and the price is reflect the service and the quality. Prices are about average if not essentially above average in terms of cost but yet again you get what you pay for. Portions are large and served fresh. The coffee here is very good. They used to serve mini muffins, which I think they still do. The solarium can get very hot if you are in bright daytime sunshine. The designer itself is fairly large in terms of footprint, but there aren't that many tables for some reason. Street parking is difficult at best. This place is worth checking out if you are in the area. read more

I was craving breakfast and I wanted a great deal and a variety of items. I scoured Uber Eats and Oasis popped up. What a deal I found. They have something called the waffle deluxe for 15.99. It came. With a huge waffle, bacon, eggs, sausage and ham. I prefer beef sausage over pork and the obliged, plus didnt charge me extra for it. Everything came still warm and the eggs were fried perfectly over easy, as requested. My mom sister and me, ate from this order. I took half a waffle, with the sausage, my sister took the other half with the bacon and my mom took the eggs with the ham and had some toast from the house. If you have a big appetite this could be 2 meals for one person.or split between 2 people and both be full. They also have chicken and waffles for $19.95. You get breast, leg and thigh and a huge waffle. Some of my favorite places for chicken and waffles only give one or two pieces of chicken and a waffle for more money or the same price. So that's a good deal. Since most restaurants charge more on uber than they do in store it could possibly be cheaper dining in. I will definitely visit in person soon. read more

Had the fortunate time of celebrating thanksgiving at Oasis with friends. Ordinarily this place is a nice restaurant to get your typical diner fare. Have had their food before and the service is always great but of course on Thanksgiving day, they came short with the service and lack of dessert varieties. Not their fault. As Martha Stewart mentioned have your thanksgiving meal at 2pm. It was not packed but you could tell that they have been serving turkey all day. Overall their turkey dinner is good moist and the stuffing tasted good. As we walked in the stuffing was being cooked so it came hot on our table. Wished they had save some of their popular coconut custard pie. Still enjoyed ourselves and will return here on a regular day. read more

This is an excellent old time Brooklyn diner. They have a large menu, excellent food in very large quantity, their burgers are 10 oz and very tasty, and their omelets are enormous. This is a good standard diner with all of the classics and some new favorites on their menu. We got the chicken souvlaki and the BLT and both were good. The BLT had about a pound of bacon on it and the souvlaki sandwich was busting at the seams. The tsatsiki sauce was a little garlicky, but very authentic flavor! We were in a rush, so the service was unfortunately a little slow (I could see our food waiting at the kitchen from our seat). Oasis Diner - Disappointing and Uncomfortable Experience We visited Oasis Diner on New Year's Day 2026 and were seated quickly, likely because there were very few diners inside. We ordered a chicken Caesar salad wrap and chicken parmigiana with linguine, which was supposed to come with a side salad. About halfway through the meal, the waiter realized the salad had been forgotten and eventually brought it out. The food overall was subpar and appeared sloppily prepared. The chicken parmigiana was served with sauce simply tossed on top of pasta that clearly hadn't been drained, leaving it watery. The chicken Caesar wrap also did not match the menu description--it was supposed to include thin red onion and Caesar dressing, neither of which was present. Unfortunately, we then found hair in the chicken parmigiana. The waiter was apologetic and offered to bring out a freshly made dish. I asked to speak with the manager, and while explaining the issue, the male manager rubbed my shoulders, which was completely inappropriate and made the situation uncomfortable. His apology felt insincere, and the waiter was far more empathetic. I asked to speak with the manager a second time to express my dissatisfaction with both the incorrect wrap and the lack of proper consideration after finding hair in the food. The only response was an offer of Caesar dressing on the side, which I declined. The manager then walked away without saying anything further. In the end, the manager took $10 off a $55 bill, which felt wholly inadequate given the poor food quality, service issues, and inappropriate behavior. Overall, this was an unsatisfactory experience from start to finish. We will not return and cannot recommend this establishment. read more

Found this diner on a whim for my family and it definitely served a purpose. The portions are a good size, you get free chickpeas, pickles, and coleslaw with your service. The staff is friendly and we did not have to wait long to get our food, all of which is tasty as well as the aforementioned generous sizes. There really is nog much to say negatively about it, other than that it is not near the subway, but even then, it is not too far off the Belt Parkway and there are plenty of bus options nearby if you know your buses. No parking lot either. You have to park in the street. Regardless, I would recommend this diner. read more

I've been going to this place for long time. I think is the Best around the neighborhood. Food is ok just like any other dinner but their cole slaw is the BEST. Service is good most of the times but this last time I went, the lady got me not waffles but chicken and waffles. I told her I didn't want it but she said: give it to the kids. I was in the area and stopped in because I had a taste for diner food. It was pretty slow for a weekday evening which may explain my experience. When I entered the establishment I saw waitresses look at me and continue their conversations. Keep in mind the diner was pretty empty, so I stood there questioning if maybe I was invisible or something . The owner then approached me and took me to a table where one of the waitresses then gave me a menu. A piece of me wanted to leave just from that experience alone but I stayed because I was very hungry. The ambiance is pretty chill, a bit more modern than a typical diner and it's pretty spacious inside. There is also no parking lot and street parking can be a bit tricky but it's doable. They have so many options on the menu but a small appetizer selection ! For appetizers I went with the calamari which was pretty tasty and cooked well. For my entree I had the "our own special panini" with waffle fries and it was tasty. It said it came with fried onions so I was expecting crispy crunchy onions but it turned out to be moreso sautéed onions. I removed them from the sandwich. The chicken was cooked well but I wish it was seasoned more. I didn't feel rushed here which I enjoyed. Pretty decent diner food however I'm not sure if I would return based on: -my experience when I entered the establishment -I overheard waitresses speaking about my bill and not being inclined to step in because "it's only a $40 table". I feel regardless of the amount spent every customer should be treated with the same amount of hospitality. read more

Found this place on Yelp as I was trying to locate a nice place to take my mom, who has mobility issues, that was still close to home. We were a group of 7 and we were seated right away. The place is clean and gave a nostalgic NY art deco vibe...it was lovely. They have several seating areas and outdoor too. They brought out coleslaw and a chick pea salad, both were good. Miriam was our waitress and was very attentive to my mom's needs, spoke to her in Spanish, and brought out my mom's order right away. She did a wonderful job the entire time we were there. We were so happy to know Oasis is opened on Thanksgiving day! It was an easy drive from us and found parking right outside of the restaurant. The diner isn't too busy as it lands on an holiday, which is perfect! We were seated in our own little booth, all four of us. I had the gyro platter, came with pita bread, salad and fries. (The gyro was overly salted imo.) My husband ordered a lumber jack, 3 pancakes, one ham, a few bacon and two fried eggs. Dad got the roasted beef hero with swiss cheese (comes with fries). The order was so big that we had take the rest to go. My brother got the eggs benedicts, cooked perfectly. Not too shabby for a local diner! Our server was quite nice too, especially needing to work on an holiday. IF it were me, I'd be mad grumpy. But she was very very nice! We'd be back soon to try out more items on the menu! read more

Found this place on Yelp as we were leaving a Billion Oyster Field Station. My daughter and her coworker were tired and hungry, so I decided to treat them to brunch. Found this place on Yelp and so glad we did. The decor was so cute and cozy and were seated immediately. Our waitress was very nice and attentive. I orderded the Challah French Toast, which was soft and moist. Just wish the pieces were thicker (YUM). I really enjoyed the pork sausages. They had a good seasoning in them. I'd say standard diner fare with some better than diner average service. They remolded a few years back, but just haven't found the want to write about them. It's clean, decent food and fast. If your going out to Riis Park/ Ft.Tilden and want a good breakfast this is a must stop in. If your on the way back from Riis there's other options, but it's worth a try too.
