This review is solely on their chicken parm like , why isn't any one talking about this ?? Oh my goodness . Honestly, this is the best chicken Parm I've ever had and I've been to plenty of Italian restaurants and they were pretty good but this place hands-down is the best in my opinion that I have ever had and Im not sure if it's even Italian owned . I'm just upset because I've been living in this area for Pretty much all my life and I've never stepped foot in here until the other night. I came in with a group for a birthday celebration . I got the burger which was eh, but my husband got the chicken parm , whenever I go to diners I keep it, simple breakfast , burgers, sandwiches, wings, and etc.. I don't broaden my horizon when it comes to diners. But when I tasted a little of my husbands chicken parm... I've been hooked ever since .. I don't know what it is about their sauce but it's seriously delicious. The customer service is phenomenal like seriously everyone is so welcoming . The chicken is not too crispy. Not too soggy just perfect. Today I went to pick up food for my mom, at the entrance was a very racist white woman I think she is the owner, I wonder who she was I told her that I had ordered online, she simply corrected me, she nodded when speaking in front of everyone that I thought it was very rude and racist, I didn't make any problems, I just left and that's it. But I don't recommend this place because they only treat privileged whites well, Latinos cannot have the same treatment! I am surprised that this happens in New York these days, the food was delivered to me like this, very messy, but she was the same owner who delivered it, she is very rude. My husband and I came here for a early lunch late breakfast so might as well just say brunch ! The restaurant was packed however we were seated almost immediately. Our waitress was really kind and the staff here is sweet. It almost has a family feel to it. I ordered an omelette and my husband ordered the burger. The omelette was really good and I have no complaints. My husband on the other hand did not enjoy his burger. Unfortunately it lacked seasoning and tasted pretty generic. Brooklyn diners are disappearing, so I was delighted to discover this gem as I was perusing Yelp looking for a new place to grab an early breakfast. Apparently they renovated recently. One of my favorite places to get breakfast in my neighborhood. I usually get delivery, but they recently renovated so I decided to dine in. The decor was very nice. Service wise, the staff is super friendly and helpful if you need any suggestions. The food is awesome. I got the onion and green pepper omelette with bacon and toast. Whenever I'm in New York visiting family, I often find myself at Oasis, a favorite of my parents. Living in Hawaii, the closest thing we have to a diner is Zippy's and while I wholeheartedly enjoy nothing more than Zippy's, there's something comforting about New York diner food. Oasis' menu consists of an all day breakfast menu with every kind of omelette one could desire and other breakfast staples. Their lunch and dinner menu offers Greek staples such as souvlaki and gyros as well as an expansive sandwich menu and burger menu. For those with a larger appetite, their dinner menu offers full dinners which include soup or salad, potato and vegetable and desert. Basically it's impossible not to find something you'd eat here. During my most recent visit, I ordered the turkey dinner which included dressing so good I'd probably try to order it at a side dish. The dressing contained cranberries and apples and was a perfect accompaniment to the turkey. I just enjoyed my left overs for lunch and it was just as good the next day. Service is friendly and on top of things, and best of all they have an A rating from the DOH. read more

Excellent omelets. I especially love the spinach and feta. Breakfasts are amazing. Love the little muffins served on the weekends. Chicken wrap/panini are full and tasty. Fries are hot, crisp on the outside and tender inside. My niece loves the honey mustard there. Hamburger deluxe is a hit and my absolute fav for dinner is the chicken cordon bleu. Portions are generous, service is fast and courteous. The only thing I am not a huge fan of is the red sauce but that's probably because I'm super picky about red sauce. Place is clean! Good diner. Unlike most diners, they have an actual breakfast menu. I'm not sure if that means you can or can't order a Tuna Melt even though it's not mentioned, but it feels a little bit limiting. That could be good though, for folks who like a shorter, simple menu. The parking on the street I found to be adequate. The atmosphere inside is OK, a little dark and narrow, but seating space is adequate and comfy. I actually had the sun in my eyes at one point (sitting in the window room) and the waitress offered to take down the blinds, which I really appreciated. The bathroom in the place is clean enough. This diner is the WORST for takeout. They have screwed up my takeout order 6 DIFFERENT times. One time they brought completely different food, another time they forgot to include my salad, once I got two grilled cheese sandwiches when I ordered one...and one time they never showed up... Today I bit into something hard in my pasta. Looked like a fish bone or piece of plastic?! See photo! When I called and asked for a refund, the owner flipped out and screamed that it was a shrimp shell. I wasn't born yesterday--NOT a shrimp shell. They never give you a refund for their mistakes. They just tell you that you'll get a credit on your next order. WTF? You actually expect people to come back for more poor service? I guess I'm the only fool that has, but my most recent order was the last straw. Enough is enough. I went to this diner a lot with my mom when I was growing up. It's a bit smaller than most, but it's one of the good ones that are left. They still make a mean grilled cheese sandwich, and even on a busy Saturday around lunchtime service was quick and friendly. Big bread basket that includes crackers, as well as generous bowls of cole slaw and chickpea salad, and pickle halves too. I remember their omelets being pretty good, and recent reviews indicate that's still the case. If you get a lunch entree, like my dad did, you get a huge portion and lots of sides, i.e. salad/soup, vegetable and potato. My family and I love this place but the service we got today from one of the girls, Maria, was absolutely unacceptable. One of the orders was wrong, and we wanted to ask her to help us. However she very rude and dismissed us. She made a remark, turned away, pointed at someone else and left. She never called over our waitress or let anyone know that we needed something. It seemed very discriminatory, as she didn't act this way with any other customers but us. This person really should not be working here if she can't handle basic customer service. read more

Fantastic. This place was one of my best moments visiting Brooklyn, while spending time with my best friend. I'm a native New Yorker. I lived in Bklyn for 20 years. Moved in 2017 because it was too expensive. This restaurant has the best food. Their Greek style dishes are amazing. The waitress was friendly. Inside the restaurant was warm, because it was freezing outside. This place was traditional, old school Bklyn..times when NY cared about people. The plates were full with delicious, fresh food. It was not that bougie, artsy hype, that going on in Bklyn now. I had a gyro platter that was amazing. I miss that great customer service and good food that Bklyn used to be about back in the day. "No worries... it happens...we hope you enjoyed your meal" was the owner/managers kind response while trying to calm this mortified patron. When I came back with the cash the next day the owner/manager told me it hadn't been necessary for me to make the trip over to pay him. I insisted. Never ever EVER again. Not one person here gives a damn about service, customers or the quality of their food. Ordered at 6:30 and was told a half hour. At the 45 minute mark I called to ask how much longer it would be. The unbelievably nasty, rude man who answered says "He left already" and hung up the phone. When I called back, he YELLED at me and said I DIDNT HANG UP ON YOU I SAID HE LEFT! After another half hour I called back and asked for a manager. I realize it's the same jerk who answered. He immediately gets defensive and then puts me on hold to take an order where I hear him being nasty to yet ANOTHER person! Peter gets on the phone and apologizes but tells me the exact same thing. "He left already". We finally get the food after an hour and 45 minutes and it's cold. Shocking right? I ordered cheese fries which now have this disgusting hard melted cheese on it (see my picture). Burger ice cold, you get the idea. Hmmm maybe if they weren't so damn cheap, they'd hire another delivery person, possibly one with, oh I don't know -A CAR!!!!!! - who could actually get the food places faster, and hot. The small parking lot can be tricky to navigate, especially on weekends, but some side street parking can had relatively easy nearby, bot metered and non. Food and coffee are decent and consistent. Sitting at the counter to do some work on my laptop yields mixed results with consistency of service, but isn't horrible. Although I have had extensive waits for both coffee refills and my check.
