The "manager" who didn't want to admit that SHE was the owner did my nails while constantly picking up the phone and worried about other customers. The end result was poor... my nails were crooked and lumpy. I told the lady I was not happy with my nails (obviously no vendor wants to hear that) so she immediately got defensive. I asked for my money back but first she said she had to take my nails off, otherwise no money back. I told her to just chop them off and I would go somewhere else to get them fixed. She even got upset that another one of her employees gave me a second opinion, who agreed that my nails were crooked. At the end I got my money back and I asked for the owners phone number and name, which she didn't want to give up. She gave me DANIEL 222-8788. I called the number and she picked up...she said oops, I gave you the wrong number and hung up. I'm not a yelper and just opened this Yelp account because she immediately said that all Yelpers are liars. Mind you, Yelp wasn't even part of the conversation. This lady does not need to be doing nails and I don't think she is even certified to do nails nor knows about CUSTOMER SERVICE 101. DON'T GO TO THIS PLACE! RUDE! HORRIBLE... I usually do my nails on my own, but yesterday I felt like getting pampered and relaxing... -Nobody seems to speak english, I asked the lady NOT to cut or file my toe nails b/c I did it myself. I am particlar about the shape of my nails...she snipped my nails off before I even noticed b/c I had my head back and my eyes closed! Now I have short CROOKED nails. And they are not square how I like them, she decided she wanted to round them! -I got a mani/pedi, 2 women worked on me, it was almost as if they were rushing to get me in and out...this was not cool considering I went in to relax -The manicure was horrible, my cuticles weren't even pushed back, she massaged one arm really well and decided not to do the other one at all. I was in an awkward angled position the whole time b/c she didn't want to move to the other side of the chair to do my other hand, instead I had to cater to her preference -While scrubbing my heels (my favorite part obout a pedicure, b/c I get lazy with scrubbing my own heel in the shower as often as I should), the lady was watching tv and really didn't scrub anything. -She made me yell "ouch" 3 times while cutting my skin off, oh...i mean cuticles... -Since the 2 of them had the luxury of working on me together, they were talking to each other in their language the entire time. The one doing my mani would stop here and there and ask me some random question that she probably didn't care about, and i didn't care to answer. "where you work" .. "nice ring" ... "you have boyfriend?" ... -Lastly...I got a french mani/pedi...it looks like something I tried to do at home. I had to tell the lady doing my mani to fix it a few times, she just overlayed what she messed up, it is clumpy and uneven. I don't understand how you can get a license and you can't even do a french manicure?? Overall, I hated my experience and left more stressed then I was when I got there. I was looking for a new local place since my usual salon where I work was booked. I called at 10:30 and for a 3:30 pm appt and felts they did not even write it down or cared I called. Came in at 3:30 and there was no receptionist and was yelled at "what do I need" I informed the lady I had an appt for a mani pedi at 3:30. She said you wait 30 minutes? I said with an appt? She said appt? Never looked at a book and said sit down one minute. After waiting 10 I was put to sit in a loud, broken, tub of cold water. I asked the lady who told me to wait 30 mins would I be waiting 30 mins in the chair. No audible response. And yes I waited 30 mins with my feet in cold water. Pedi was rushed, done in 20 mins! Always great service but definitely need an appointment, I happen to get lucky with my walk ins but shortly after it gets packed. Lexi does a great job on my brows and no matter who I go to they do a great job with my pedicure since I do not get acrylics (I bite my nails, eww I know) there isn't much of a language barrier everyone is super friendly and tries to hold conversation. Went here to do my eyebrows this past Saturday. I am VERY VERY particular when it comes to my eyebrows because it never fail that people jack my face up. The place the I love is in Brisbane and she recently jacked me up so now my eyebrows are in a stage of growing back because of her mistake. I've passed this place many times and finally on Saturday I had to go to a housewarming/bridal shower and needed to get something done. I didn't have an appointment and got seen right away. I explained to the girl (can't remember her name) exactly what I wanted and she followed it to the tee. Decided that since she did the eyebrows really well let me go ahead and do my top lip. I really like this place so far - I've came here twice, and both times opted for the European pedicure as opposed to the regular - I really, really like this pedicure - my feet feel soft for a long while after the pedicure, they use an exfoliant ,cooling gel, and clay masque for your feet - it's really worth the extra amount to me. I love the selection of colors - mostly OPI + Essie, the ladies are professional, they do a good job and take pride in their work. Everything is extremely clean and sanity, the massage chairs are alright, and the massage they give you is pretty good too. I deducted a star because one time they were insanely busy and couldn't take me - maybe my fault for being a walk in, but I like being able to get service when I go places. After coming here for nearly a year and a half, I think have had enough. I have dealt with misshapen nails and horrible rush jobs, which I forgave since I finally found one women at this establishment that could do my nails correctly. I'm leaving out of town and my usual artist was out during my avalible times, so I had to let another artist do my nails . Like I said before, I have been coming here for way over a year and I always get my nails done the same way. I have been going to the gym, pole fitness classes and working with my gel acrylic almond shaped nails for over a year and have never broken or chipped one even once! Since I got my nails done five days ago I have had to have two nails replace and the paint is chipping on several other nails. One of the times I went it to get it fixed all they did was file it down until my real nail wasn't exposed, now my pinkie nail doesn't match the rest of the nails on my hands!!!! And I had to ask one of the ladies to add glue so the acrylic wouldn't lift up from my pinkie. Basically, I'm done with this place, which is their loss since I'm a loyal client and a darn good tipper. Lexi and Tracy are amazing, but other than that the service here is unacceptable. Stupid me for trying to go somewhere else to get my nails did. I usually don't venture from BeBe but they were closed the Sunday after July 4th and I was deperate for a pedi. I made an appt, got there on time, and finally got seated about 25 minutes later. They were extremely unfriendly and didn't seem to give a damn that I was waiting patiently. Finally get seated as a family of 5 walks in for 5 pedi's. Sooooo the girl doing my nails proceeds to rush through my pedicure. She yanked, scraped and filed my toes and was so rough it was ridiculous. In all of 22 minutes my pedi was over... including the crappy massage. I was shocked. HORRIBLE ! I used to love getting my pedicure done at Oasis until I found a better and cheaper alternative. I've had different experiences all varying with who was doing the job. I can't say I have a favorite but what really pulled the last straw for me here was when one of the ladies cut my toenails super short. I'm talkin' down to the skin short AND what was even worst was that the my right toenails were shorter than my left's! Total WTF moment. As for manicures, I can't complain since they get the job done plus their designs are always cute. I love that they can do variations of the designs they have on display to suit to your liking. Oasis Nails is located in a plaza so there's ample parking all the time. There do get pretty busy on weekends so making an appointment isn't a must. The cleanliness of this salon is good. I'd recommend this place if you have money to blow to treat yourself to a manicure and pedicure. I believe it's a good $35 for both and with get yourself a frequent buyer's card (for free). Once you reach 10 visits, you get 10% off your next pedicure. Hey, I guess that makes up for your tip, haha! read more

It looked like i had acrilyc done and grown out for a week just the next day i got my shellac done. i was too mad! my french tip lines were not straight and there was a hint of white all over my clear part. I've been going to Oasis for years now, on and off. I lived in and out of the area for at least a decade so Kelly knows my face pretty well and that makes me happy that I'm always accommodated when I come back. She always greets me with a smile, asks how my Mom is doing and always finds a way to make room for me, even when they're busy. Kevin is my favorite manicurist here, that guy can do some damn nails! Especially if you want glitter acrylic. He takes his time and is a perfectionist so I appreciate that because so am I. He'll redo his work til it comes out right. Kelly was my favorite pedicure gal (she doesn't do em anymore I think), as was a younger Kevin (who moved to Stockton to work at his lady's shop, boo!). I also like Maria, an older woman super sweet and gives amazing massages. Majority of the gals are koo so I normally don't make requests because they're all pretty good. I appreciate that they take card and don't fuss about extra fees. Their prices are normal if you ask me and I love that their Pedis aren't super basic (they offer a Euro pedi, which I love, and even the most basic pedi has a scrub and mask accompanied with it.). Their massages last longer than a measly 5-10 min, which is the #2 reason I always come back. #1 reason is they are one of the better salons in the area that aren't supremely rude, overpriced and are sanitary (their decor is always as updated as can be, I still remember when they got new massage chairs and repainted everything!) I stopped going to Oasis nails for 2 years after they did a sub par job on my nails for my event at my school. My mom volunteered to go back to get my nails done there and I wanted to see if things changed. They didn't change much. 1.They did a good job on my toes but after when they usually help you put on your thongs they didn't do it they just went on to the next costumer. 2. My nails are OK. I got a gel manicure. She left the sides of my nails unpainted. She looked at the unfinished nails but kept going. And she was to aggressive with my hands. 3. The major reason why I am NOT going back the lady who did my eyebrows did a very bad job. I reply that someone told me to come now; is there a 1pm appointment available because that is what I originally asked for. She replies yes. I have gone to almost all nail salons in the Hercules/Pinole area rating 5 stars etc...I have not found anyone that does my nails the way i like them done...until now. But I just threw caution to the wind and made an appointment on a Friday after work at 5:00pm. i was greeted or not greeted by a teenager minding the front desk. I should have never tried this place again. I figured after a few years, maybe things changed? The fact is. No. They didn't. I needed a place ASAP and without a appointment. I walked in and set me up for my mani/pedi. The man who did my feet in the spa chair was okay. His french tips on my toes was subpar. I have received better spa pedicures at many other places. A lady then took me to her chair to do my gel manicure. She was in a hurry, and seemed to be distracted. Basically, two days later my gel polish was already chipping off, by the 4th day they peeled off almost completely. I paid $55 for that. I have no problem paying a little more for great service and technique, but I ended up paying for low end service. Never again Oasis, what a rip off. I've been here twice, each time because I had a gift card. My first time there, my cousin and I each got manicures (mine was gel) and pedicures. The pedicures were okay (nothing special at all) and they even gave my cousin a flower on her toes for free. Her manicure was nicely done, but my gel polish peeled off within a few days. When we were paying, I handed them the gift cards and they said they didn't know how to use it. Had I known that I wouldn't be able to use the gift cards, we wouldn't have gone there. So I paid $90 total, which seems like a lot for what we got. I returned a few weeks ago to use the gift card I was never able to use. Luckily this time they did accept the gift card. I got another gel manicure and a pedicure. The gel manicure was very uneven and peeled off 4 days later!! The only good thing about the manicure was that it was shaped well. My pedicure seemed fine at the time, but then I ended up getting an ingrown toe nail from where she cut them! Besides that, the pedicure wasn't too bad, but you can definitely get better for cheaper at other places! I won't be going here again! It's a waste of money. read more

Awful! I've been a loyal customer for years! Made an appointment for 3pm and was somewhat promptly seated only to wait an additional 35 minutes with my feet in a water bath and no work done!!! I finally asked if anyone e would be seeing me and all I was told is 'soon'. I was also approached by the front desk young lady and was told to wait or if I wanted to leave it would be ok...
