Wish I could give 0 stars. I should have listened to the negative reviews. So I came here for the first time a week ago, to get a fill, in which she cut me twice and made me bleed both times! Whatever, so I was just over it and then she painted my nails and I was just cooling down from being irritated from the cuts. She finished painting my nails with gel polish and I was out and still tipped. 2 days later my nail tips chip off and my nail polish literally peels right off. So I was upset not only had she cut me twice but she did a really bad job at covering the edges and the tips, she didn't use any type of bonder either. So I decide to go back to get it fixed because I didn't pay for gel polish for it to come off the next day. She paints my nails that had peeled off very lazily and she was mad that she had to redo it. Then the tips of my nails that had all chipped off she paints 2 more coats on top of my already painted nails making them really thick and sloppy, and they literally started chipping off again that same day. read more

This place does a horrible job! My first and last time getting my nails done here. My nails are suppose to be coffin shape, but my Thumb nail is squared. My toe nails look like an 8 year old painted them. I will be going to my regular shop immediately and getting them done over. Pictures are from the same day. read more

This place is terrible, every time I come here they will never do my nails. I can make an appointment and then come in and they say, O' we already have a client. My mother has been coming to their nail shop since the first location when I was 9 years old, and I am now 33 years old, I have no idea why they do me like that for pedicures, they are outdated so I only go for me pedicures to spend time with my Mother and I have always paid them, I have always tipped them. They figure since the known me since I was a pup they can just back burn me for other clients usually white clients. I went off in here today. I'm so upset, I got plain white gel nails, there's so many bubbles and streaks. I literally wanted to cry, the lady didn't know what she was doing. 20 mins nail session turned into an hour, that's without me complaining. I'm sooo upset, I can't even look at my nails. read more

When I got there the lady said I had no appointment although she answered the phone and was the one that booked it.. Both my gel manicure and regular pedicure are equal messes. There's paint on the tips of my toes, and gel color and top coat on the tips of my fingers and under my fingernails. There's paint on my cuticles that were poorly trimmed. For whatever reason my manicurist used the cuticle trimmers to scrape off a layer of my nail. read more

I called ahead of time to book a time for a full set of acrylics and a pedicure for my mom, I then called to let them know I'd be late and if they would still be able to take us both in and they said yes. Once I arrive they say that they can't do both of us because there's no time. It's ridiculous because I literally confirmed with them and asked if they still had time for both of us. Ann was the one that took my call and they didn't even offer a discount or anything after the inconvenience. Never again!!!!! I could have made a scene but I didn't because that wasn't right. If I was anybody else, I would have done the most to let them know this wasn't okay... they ended up doing my nails because I was sitting there while waiting for my mom. For this very reason I decided to give them another chance so here I am a couple of weeks later adding on to my original review because I decided to try them again but that was my mistake. I called an hour ahead of time asking if they had time in an hour for just a simple acrylic fill, they said yes to come in at that time. Upon arrival they tell me they don't have time for me and they're booked for the rest of the day. I had called ahead of time to avoid anything like this happening yet they went ahead & said they couldn't. I literally was already there after them saying to go in and telling me never mind upon arrival. It was the same girl, Ann who I spoke with on the phone. I think it's so messed up that they did this to me not nice but TWICE!! I actually liked them at first but once they started doing this to me, I realized how messed up they are. I love this Nail Spa!! I have been a very satisfied customer since 1998 when the shop was located in another shopping center. My family and in-laws go out of their way to come here for the great services. I was sooo relieved when I found out the shop moved to this new and improved location that was still close to home. The owner is very friendly and grateful for her customers. The entire staff is very experienced and good at what they do. The shellac nails are wonderful. The pedicures are a long lasting treat. The waxing services are very good as well. The prices are well worth it and the shop is open 7 days a week! This is one of the best spas. read more

Decided to give this a place a try since I was picking up my dry cleaning next door. Just a simple mani pedi, shouldn't be too bad. Right? WRONG! First, when I walked in, I was greeted with "what do you need?" I told her and she told me to choose a color (their selection of colors regular/gel are ok but limited) After I had chosen my color, I was directed to sit in the spa chair. My manicurist (curly hair name Mai I believe) started working on me immediately. No conversation at all what so ever except the occasional questions of "cut or file down?" "square ok?" Other than that, she was basically mute. She is was very thorough and my feet felt very clean afterwards. (she cut me on my index toe, so that hurts) Except she didn't even massage my feet/legs. She just rubbing lotion on my legs and that was it. Her paint job on my feet were ok. She did not shape my toe nails very well though. You can definitely tell one big toe nail is longer than the other. (I'll let it slide because it is winter time and rainy that people will probably not see my toes. After my toes were done, I was directed to take a seat at her table. She then started my manicure. She was also very thorough when doing my manicure until she got to the massage part. Sane thing as my legs, she rubbing lotion on and done. She then painted my nails and I had noticed she missed the sides/corners (huge pet peeve of mine) I pointed it out and she tried to fix it with the second coat. She finished but did not clean the polish that she got on my skin very well. Probably will not be returning. $30 for a bad polished mani pedi is not worth it at all. It's a quiet little shop across from JC Penny Hilltop. I went on a Sunday afternoon and it was mellow with just 2 other customers. The ladies did a good job on my nails and toes. I paid $14 for a refill and $20 for a spa pedicure. I think that's superrrrrrr affordable. Tip them well -- their prices and SERVICE deserves it. read more

I called ahead to see if they were busy and I was assured I would be next. When I arrived ANN was ready to start. It was perfect because I had limited amount of time(35 min). I needed to get my full set removed and if I had time to get jell polish for my nails that grew long enough. ANN was amazing! I came in thinking this location was close enough to work so I would not be late and I came out so happy. ANN removed the full set perfectly and did not chip my own nails. It was great that she worked so fast I had enough time for jell polish. I also thought that their color choices were good and I decided to get my favorite color. Rude! I called in advance and asked for a pedicure. I was told I could come in an hour. When I arrived, the two technicians were at work on other patrons. One doing a mani, and the other doing a pedi. It was obvious I would have to wait, but I wasn't sweating it. After hanging out for 15 minutes, a lady comes in and the technician doing the mani says, "Are you the one who called?" The lady said yes. The technician turns to me and says I would have to wait an additional 30 minutes because she was going to take the lady who came in after me first. I protested and said that I called too and came in first so why did I have to wait? No response. Not cool! I walked out and will never go back. It just wasn't right. I came to this nail salon looking for a cheaper nail salon to get acrylics and a pedi. Let me first say that it was completely empty with no customers. My pedi was rushed and there was nail polish all over my toes after. Job was poorly done. Didn't even cut my toe nails. There are air bubbles on my toes from the nail polish. After, I had my acrylics done and she kept filing my nails and I said to stop because she was hurting me but she said it was fine. Paint was poorly done, acrylics were poorly done. Absolute worst mani and pedi Ive ever gotten. The job was so sloppy. The pedi only lasted 3 days until it started chipping away. the gel manicure only lasted 2 days until it started lifting and the way she cut my cuticles caused lots of hang nails to form. After 3 days the lifting worsened and it started chipping and cracking. The gel on my thumbs even started discoloring. Went to complain and they sent me away to come back 2 days later. It didnt even last a week until it got so bad it was basically non-existent. When i came back, the manager, who did my gel mani and pedi, refused to give me a full refund and blamed my nails for the lifting instead of her own poor work. I didnt even get half of what i paid for back. Never coming back here again. read more

I have been coming to the hercules area for vacation for over 15 years I usually go to a different salon to have my nails done but after a not so great visit on my last trip I decided to try somewhere new. I read some reviews and even though there were mixed reviews I decided to give vanity nails a try because my daughter loves to get nail art and they seemed to have ladies with many years of experience. When we arrived everyone was super nice (staff and clients) we did not have an appointment but only had to wait about 15 minutes so not bad at all. They were very quick with the acrylic and kept the nails nice and natural not thick and bulky you can tell these ladies are experienced, I am a cosmetologist so I know when it's done right and they do a great job. My daughter is hard to please she picks what she thinks is simple nail art but in reality is quite difficult and it looked BETTER then the picture she brought in for a reference. These ladies were wonderful and I will defiantly be back every time I am in town:-) read more
