I used to come here allll the time but my person does not work there anymore. So I stopped going because she isn't there anymore. The workers now are very nice. I've came here a few times recently and only 1 person does my French tips well. Only thing that doesn't happen there anymore is that the "massage" that comes with the pedicure, isn't much of a massage; more of a rushed "leg rub". I came in to get my big toe fixed bc the gel chipped off. they kept insisting on getting a pedicure when I said no I just need my toe fixed. they fixed my toe and said its $10. I was going to pay with card and then said its a $2 fee for card and I said okay so $12? and she said yes how much you want to add tip? I said um none just charge the $12. so I guess she didn't like that and said $14 and I said no you said $12. so she calls up the owner to charge me and the owner slides the atm machine under the desk im paying at so that I can't see how much she is charging my card. she ended up charging me $12 + $2 tip for herself without my consent. at that point I had no energy in arguing or making a big deal about it so I left and definitely never coming back!!! these new owners are horrible. read more

I grew tired of my other nail place half-assing the job to accommodate walk ins. I've passed this place many times and decided if I didn't like it I didn't have to come back. Here is where I get my toes done because I like the way they pay attention to detail and the massage is primo. If I get gel it lasts for a long time before I have to come back and get them done again. Also I don't feel judged when they are working on my toes because my toes aren't that pretty but can be decent once they work their magic. There was an incident where the nail job wasn't done correctly but I was able to come an hour later and they corrected without a problem nor complaints about my issue. I wandered into this nail spa by mistake and I was so worried based on the reviews. However, I have been going here for months now and I couldn't be happier! I was fortunate to get Justin the first time I came in. I showed him a picture of what I wanted and he made it look exactly like the picture. I was set on only seeing him, but one time they were so busy I saw a woman (didn't get her name, sorry!) and she was fantastic as well. This time I came in open to seeing anyone and lucked out with Michael. Now I am hooked and will ask for him every time. I haven't had a bad experience in all the times I have been here. Sometimes you do have to wait because they get busy, even if you have an appointment, but they work really hard to get you seen asap. I'm someone who had the same nail technician for over 15 years. I gave this salon a shot with hopes to find a hidden gem in El Sobrante. I called first and was greeted nicely by Justin who was both friendly and funny over the phone and told me to come on over for a mani/pedi. The waiting area is tight, but that was okay because they got me in a spa chair super quick. I opted for the "deluxe" pedicure, which was super nice, but probably not worth the extra $10 on top of the standard pedi. Moving on to the manicure, I felt a little rushed with the gel. Although he nailed the shape, I left with some unevenness and some small bubbles in the paint. I would give this spot another shot because there are seriously so many color options, and the staff really was super nice. I just would appreciate a little more attention to detail, especially since I always tip my nail people over 20%. ****Update**** It's been a week and a nail popped off completely. I haven't had that happen to me in years. I would suggest to management that they invest in new bonding polish and powder. read more

The attitude of the two men (I'm assuming the owners - Justin and Andy?) was enough to let me know that I should never come back here ever again. First of all, Justin kept coughing all over his customers hands. It was disgusting!!! Second, they are SOOOOOOOOO SLOW. I MEAN SOOOOOOOOO SLOW! It is crazy. You might as well be an individual who has no life, to come here, because they take hours. The sad part is - despite taking so long, the nails looks like they only spent 20 minutes doing them. I had get paint color all around my fingers. I finished in about two hours, but I saw some people who were there before me and were already being worked on, still sitting and getting a manicure/ pedicure after I left. MY NAILS CHIPPED IN ONE DAY. ONE DAY. They also don't know how to clip your real nails or file. Never in my life, has a nail salon hurt my fingers as much as this place. It felt like they were grinding my fingers against stone. I wish I could give zero stars. Who even let them open in the first place? Why would anyone in their right mind ever come to this trash place. They are over priced and have way too much pride over LOW QUALITY work. ZERO STARS. I am out raged! My wife and I made a reservation for 12:30 pm on Sunday 5/29/22 for pedicures . When I made the reservation I explained that my wife was handicapped and in a wheelchair and asked if they could accommodate her and they said "yes". When we showed up we were refused service by Michael and he said "I'm not the owner!" when I explained we had made arrangements. There should be No excuse why my nails look like this. The only reason why I go to this place is because every other place is closed. I told Justin to go closer to the cuticle but there's gaps where the powder is to where you can see a bunch of my own nail. I would not recommend this place to anybody. They take you in you make an appointment for one time they tell you to come back in at another time. The rush through your appointment and when you tell them that something is wrong or the nail is crooked but now that they glued on his crooked they tell you some other excuse. $40 later this is what I got unhappy mad that I spent that money. If any of the pictures my cuticles are messed up because of work but that is still no excuse on why there's so much Nail left on the top and not covered with powder and not to mention the paint job is even worse.
