I've been coming to this spot for years, and it's hands down the best raspados around. The freshness is unmatched, and they always get it just the way I like it. It does sometimes get packed but the ladies are fast. It's a small place and people are in and out but it's still always so clean! I can't recommend it enough!

sooo good! I got the raspados with strawberry and mango, I added vanilla ice cream and crema as well. Such good vibes and really friendly staff that were super helpful!

I was there yesterday afternoon I got a vanilla & Plum raspado- they were both overly sweet (might be just me) so I didn't enjoy either of then. I also got an order of tostilocos- which I do need to say. I recently moves from L.A (I know) and it's not the way they are put together out there so it was something new for me... it wasn't bad, it's just not something I had tried before ( this had cabbage). I do admire the recycling they do using old strawberry trays... also their customers service is EXCEPTIONAL!!! It's not for me, so I don't think that I'll come back but then again most of that is just me.. the business is great!

Oasis Raspado is in a rough part of town, but it's very nice inside its space. They have a good variety of foods to try. I was excited that they had elote and fresh fruit toppings. I ordered the Mango Chimay with mango and pineapple. It was good, but I kind of wished it had more of a kick. I guess I would enjoy it more blended vs over shaved ice, even though this is authentic raspado. The shaved ice melted quickly and diluted the dessert into more of a drink. It was definitely hot that day, but their A/C was good. My Elote wasn't what I had expected. It tasted great up until I realized how soupy it was. I felt the liquid diluted the flavor I was looking for. Maybe next time I can specify less hot liquid. I really enjoyed the simplicity of their Tostitos salsa verde chips topped with hot spicy queso and pickled jalapeños. The queso has a little kick, but the combo of everything was so satisfying. It was my favorite overall. The Large scoops of ice cream looked delectable. And I watched other customers have mixed fruit with chili on top. Looked so yummy. I love spice on top of sweet fruit. We came with fault family who are locals, so we will come back again.

Oasis is always a great choice when you want something cold. The girls are the most sociable but hey they get the job done and service well. Get you in and out the door. There is a small area where you can sit inside but I usually grab and go. Great snack also don't just go for the Raspados. The Tosti Locos and Tosti Elote are also very good here!!! You're welcome and enjoy your treat!!

Summer time is here and it's all about raspados. Although Oasis has many different flavors to choose from, I tend to stick the same ol' strawberry flavor. It's filled with a good amount of juice and has lots of sliced strawberries which is what I like to see. I also recommend adding a scoop of ice cream on top if you're feeling adventurous. Overall good stuff!

These raspados are the best in South Phoenix. Any flavor of raspados hot perfect. The escamocha is delicious definitely a must try! The obispos are ridiculously delicious. Literally every single item on there menu is mouthwatering amazing!! The ladies are attentive and know there deserts. The eating area is small but big enough for two three families. Very chilled place to relax. Definitely coming back!!

    Vanilla raspado

We got 2 things from here, a fresas con crema y raspado de vainilla. We didn't take a pictures of the fresas con crema but that was super delicious, I would highly recommend. On the other hand, the vanilla raspado was not what I expected. Shame on me for assuming that the vanilla flavor should be like a yellow-ish color and not black. I don't know from where this type of vanilla is from, but I personally did not like the flavor; it tasted like it was vanilla mixed with mint mixed with black licorice. I guess I should have asked before ordering. But besides that it was pretty good, would go again. But definitely wouldn't get the vanilla ever again..

Come visit South Phoenix. And on a hot day when you want a refreshing drink/treat that is not too sweet then try the Obispo about $4.50. You can choose the fruit toppings & the flavor of ice cream. I chose Vanilla ice cream with fresh strawberries & mango toppings, and yes, sweetened condensed milk on top. It's was so yummy! They also had pineapple, bananas, and other toppings to choose from. This place is so much better than Dairy Queen. They also serve Thirty's ice cream. $1.89 a scoop or 2 scoops for $2.50. Very reasonable. Do you remember when you could buy a scoop of Thifty Ice for 15 cents & 2 scoops for 30 cents. They have many refreshing dessert options. I almost tried a Fresca Crema which I'll get the next time. The restaurant was clean and the staff friendly and served generous portions! There was no line in March when it was cool! After you eat your treat then head over to Ranch Market & get a carne asada taco for $2.00. Yummy! It's a good day to check out some local food places. Enjoy!

I have no complaints of this location. The last time I went in I waited about 25 min but it was worth the wait. Best oasis in AZ!!

Higher quality ingredients in their raspados is the reason I love this place! Plus the air conditioner is always blasting cold air!

My friends and I stopped in for dessert around 8pm on a Tuesday, and it wasn't very busy. There were a few different seating areas inside and some outside too. There are three ice cream flavors (vanilla, mixed or chocolate) to choose from, then different toppings depending on what you order, one size only. After studying the menu I decided to try the Fluffynutter'n which has peanut butter, banana and marshmallows. It was delicious!!! I think this place also does breakfast/brunch which would be fun to check out. I can't wait to come back and try all the other options!

Ultimately this doesn't matter to me as I just want the ice cream. Today I was on my way to work and decided to treat myself to a coffee. Knowing that they're vegan, I thought non-dairy milk would be included. Nowhere was I able to find which milk was included in the price- so I asked for oat milk. I was charged NINTEY CENTS (.90) for an upcharge. Rather than saying oh it comes with soy milk, or hey it's a .90 cent upcharge, the barista just added it on no questions asked. I had reviewed the menu online and in the extras it does not include oat milk, which is why I assumed it came with it. My coffee ultimately came out to $9.16. What a joke. I will definitely not be coming back here for anything besides ice cream from here on out and even that is a hard maybe. I wish more places had pricing integrity- their website doesn't reflect it and neither did the barista. *edit to add the coffee is extremely sweet and milky, tastes more like sweet milk than a latte :(

A Nostalgic, Must-Visit Dessert Destination in Old Town Scottsdale…read more Our party of six visited the Sugar Bowl for dessert following a friend's birthday dinner. Upon our arrival, we were accommodated immediately and seated without any delay. The parlor features a wonderful, nostalgic aesthetic reminiscent of the late 1900s. Its menu is remarkably expansive, offering an impressive variety of options that goes well beyond what one might typically expect from a traditional dessert establishment. The service we received was patient and polite. While one of our table's orders was initially overlooked, the staff corrected the mistake instantly as soon as we brought it to our server's attention. As the name implies, the menu leans heavily into decadent, sweet treats; those looking for lighter or tart options like yogurt variations will find limited choices, but the indulgent selections are perfect for traditional dessert lovers. The surrounding neighborhood adds significantly to the appeal, offering an excellent Old Town atmosphere filled with art galleries, historic shops, and artifacts. If you are visiting the nearby Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art (SMoCA), enjoying dinner in the area, or simply taking an evening walk, I highly recommend stopping by the Sugar Bowl for its unique historical charm and experience.

I considered several options in Phoenix area to review, but I decided to go with the iconic Sugar Bowl in Old Town Scottsdale. It's been in business since the 1950's and has been a staple for 7 decades in Old Town. The inside is 1890's decor of pink & white wallpaper/decor like an old fashioned ice cream parlor. They have a bar area and standard seating. I remember I first went here when I was in high school in late 90's/early 2000's. Ice cream was always top notch. I used to get the Buster Brownie, which was this big brownie sundae with vanilla ice cream, goeey marshmallow topping, whipped cream, & cherry on top. It was awesome! I loved that way back then. I got lunch there once or twice; pretty good sandwiches, but the real highlight is the ice cream. My most recent visit was in Jan. 2022 with my dad. We decided to pop in for ice cream. It was as delicious as I remembered.
