I found Oasis Salon Studio by chance when I needed to get my nails done for prom, and I got them done the day of... I absolutely loved the attention I got from the staff and the job was really well done. Prices are pretty good in comparison to many other places too! I have gotten several things done here and been taken care of by different people and have always been very satisfied, from eyebrow and lip waxing, to mani-pedi, to a facial extraction. Would recommend to anyone with my eyes closed. read more

I wanted to love this place because the attention to detail in making an appointment was stellar. I sent a message from Yelp to get my appointment and Miss Jenny was very prompt to call and get my appointment booked. Very easy and user friendly! The young lady who did my hair was not super chatty which is fine with me, but the lady across from us was complaining to the person in the chair (a friend maybe?) about personal things and it made me a little uncomfortable. I wish I could remember the gal's name who did my hair, but it escapes me. She seemed a little timid about cutting short hair, but did a good job with the color. I have returned for another visit since I first wrote this review, and hoped for a wonderful experience and for the most part I got it! My stylist was very knowledgeable and did a great cut on my super short hair. I didn't schedule a color, but after I explained to her how I was struggling with grey hair, she had great color ideas and we went for it! I did have a spot in the back that was orange underneath instead of blond like to parts that showed, but when styled correctly it is not too noticeable. There was one strange thing both times I was there- when the stylist was finishing the haircut Miss Jenny came over and cut too. This last time I had asked for something specific along the back hairline, and it was just how I wanted it, but Jenny cut it into and "arch" shorter in the middle and long on the sides. I have slowly been able to make changes to fix it, but I was really thrown off by it. They have a whole area where they do mani-pedis too! I'm jealous of the reviewers who had a five star experience. I was sat down and had my acrylics buffed and filled, then the nail tech Jenny got up and walked away to work on another clients hands. She told me to "let them dry"... it was acrylic powder. It dries instantly, she and I both know that, but anyway. Since she was evidently the only nail tech staffed that day she was trying to do three sets of hands at once. The poor woman behind me sat for 45 minutes - 2:45 to 3:30 pm - with the aluminum wrapped around her gel fingers. I go up to the front desk because I'm unhappy with the customer service and the girl there, Karen, explains that I was left half done in my chair because another woman had an appointment and I was a walk in. So then the nail tech feels badly and comes back to work on me and of course the woman who actually had an appointment gets ditched, so now I feel badly. The nail tech then decided to rush through the process. She put a dent in my nail with the buffer because there was a spec of nail polish that she didn't take the time to wipe off so she just carved it out. She put three coats on my nails in less than five minutes. It was all about getting people in and out as quickly as possible at the expense of a pleasant experience. This is the type of place where they sit you right away to secure the $15, even if there's no one available to serve you properly. If you're in the area just go across the street to KC nails. Unlike Oasis it's properly ventilated with clean furniture and an attentive staff. I only got stuck at Oasis because KC is closed on Sundays. read more

This place sucks! They don't have respect to their client. I got a haircut yesterday and I told the hairdresser what I like and I even showed the picture of the haircut I want. She look on the picture but she do what she wants to do with my hair. Way way shorter and really far from the haircut I like. I keep telling her u cut it way shorter. She said oh it's same it's just urs are shorter a little. My hair was long almost near on my waist. And she cut it like a guy haircut. I'm so upset. I cried a soon as I get in my car. And it took a long time for a haircut almost 2 hours.. I didn't say anything when I was there because I don't wanna made a scene. But she knows I'm upset all I want is to go home. After getting a couple of recommendations for Oasis, I got an appointment for a mani/pedi. I wanted to try the new dip powder nail "polish" so I let them know that's what I wanted. The process was interesting and I asked the technician when she would push back and/or trim my cuticles (normally done with a manicure). She said "later". As it turned out, I never got a manicure (with cuticle care, hand massage etc). When I question this when I paid, the receptionist said "you asked for the dip". I explained that I wanted a manicure treatment and that it should not matter if I chose regular polish, gel, or dip for my nails. She insisted that the dip does not include the other services. It would have been nice to know this up front. It makes no sense to me why I'd pay more for this nail covering but not get the whole enchilada! In addition, I found it concerning that my fingers were dipped into a jar of powder that is not for individual use (so, basically, a community jar). Doesn't seem sanitary at all and, after doing more research on dip powder techniques, using a community jar is not acceptable! I will definitely look for another salon next time! After posting my review, the salon posted a reply which is appreciated! I changed my rating to 3 stars and will post another review after my next visit. I still question the "community powder" system though. read more

You will get a wax that peels your skin off since they don't know how to work the machine. Or get a pedicure where I left with a blister on my heel from it being scalding hot and being told to put my foot in the water. Make sure you say hello to the owner who I hear harasses former employees. Or check out the prices that are constantly rising! Make sure you get a hair cut from their constantly changing staff (since they apparently hate working there and quit all the time). This place is a disaster. The only thing they have going for them is nice decor and free cheap wine (which they are never around to serve you after its offered). read more

I had my hair blown out, that was the best $20 spent in a while. I went to get my nails done and a shellac (gel) costs $27?!?! I was charged for two manicures? In addition, my technician barely said two words to me and was not friendly. I will not be returning for nails again. There are plenty of other places for me to try. read more

I'm from out of town and needed a place to get my nails done and saw that this place was down the street and had a nice rating. I got acrylics and regular polish. The lady that worked with me did not do a good job with the polish. There are bumps beneath the polish and they are already chipping only 2 hours later. She only did one coat so you could see some of the acrylic and was a bit rude when I asked to touch up a spot. read more

I am a Canadian Snowbird who returns to beautiful Florida every October. I was very stressed to learn my hairdresser in Largo had moved out of State. I have tried a few different hairdressers over the past 20 years and have had some experiences with colour that were not pleasant. I certainly got very lucky to find Ivan at Oasis Salon. He was brilliant. He was very personable as I enjoyed our conversation during my appointment. The colour I received was excellent. I was very happy with how well he matched my last hair colour. I can honestly say I have never had such a perfect match. I was also impressed with his knowledge and how he explained to me what I should have and what he was going to do. He seemed very dedicated to doing what was best for my hair. I normally get my hair colour every 4-5 weeks but due to traveling, I was a couple of weeks later. I thought for sure he would have to do full colour and highlights. Ivan was able to match my roots perfectly without having to damage my hair with unnecessary chemical products and added cost. Ivan also did an excellent job waxing my eyebrows. Unlike other salons I have been to, he took his time and I felt like he really cared about how they looked. Ivan was very attentive to me during my entire appointment. I would like to thank Jenny too. I made my appointment by email and she responded promptly to my many emails and answered all my questions. In closing, I was very impressed with my experience at Oasis. All the staff were very pleasant during my entire appointment. I would definitely recommend Ivan for colour, cut and eyebrows. I would not recommend this place to anyone,we had a horrible experience from no one answering their phones to leaving there with my daughters supposed to be braid being a twisted mess.i was told that they had someone to do a waterfall braid,which was a lie,and then I was left to go home and fix my daughters hair for her 8th grade dance,when I went back in to discuss with the manager,I was given a lot of attitude considering she was the one that finished my daughters hair and made it look so bad,come to find out,she is the owner and lied to me the whole time,the overall experience was terrible and was handled very unprofessionally and will never return !! Absolutely horrible! My daughter and I went in for pedicures. After waiting to go in the back we were seated in the spa chairs, my daughter was greeted and her pedicure began, I was told someone would be right with me. However, an hour later my daughter was all finished and I was still waiting to be greeted. Obviously I didn't wait any longer. We went to check out and after having to explain to the cashier that I did not receive services and would not be paying for two pedicures her response was "I will let them know". Brought my teenager in for a hair cut and style right before a dance. Nothing special just a trim and simple Juliet style pull back. There were no prices quoted and that's my error for not asking first. It was $30 for a wash, trim and blow dry. A little higher than I would have hoped but it's a salon, not a cruddy chain. At the end the lady said she'd only charge me $60, I'm guessing because my daughter literally had only two small braids pulled up instead of a prom style up do. But $30 for a fancy pony tail?! Of course I still had to tip to because at that point I don't know if it's the stylist or the salon charging these ridiculous prices. Stylist Victoria ran 40 minutes late. Victoria was rude and disrespectful of client's time. Victoria scalped my husband's head several times around his neck and ears. The cut was awful and uneven. She raked his ears with her comb and ripped out his hair from the root with her scissoring technique (or lack thereof). We were charged DOUBLE the cost as advertised. I was there on June 10th, and had an "okay" manicure. It was advertised to be a "spa manicure", but really nothing more impressive than the $10-15 dollar strip mall manicures available on every other corner in Pinellas County. The tech never so much as introduced herself, there was barely any conversation (awkward when sitting with someone working on your hands for 1/2 an hour or so) and the lines of the French manicure polish are uneven. very clean, and bright salon. got a gift card and decided to get a manicure, pedicure, and my eyebrows done. my first visit was excellent, staff was friendly etc. i saw on the website that they did hair cuts, and I thought the prices were O.K, well i was wrong. after the man cut my hair he blow dried it, I try to be optimistic and not negative about the situation but he did a horrible job (finding this out after I went home and styled it) I was charged 63.00 dollars for my moms "cut" (which she has short hair) and my "cut". this place is a joke when it comes to hair, they should stick to nails. won't be returning. read more

DON"T GO HERE! If I could give this place 0 stars I would! I went in looking for a wavy perm, my hair looked exactly like I wanted (it had been braided and I loved the wavy look I got after taking it out) I even had a picture of how it looked right after taking the braid out and she said she could do what I wanted, during the consultation I was quoted $175 which is really high ( I had been quoted $130 at another salon but they were booked and didn't have any appts that worked with my schedule), but I felt like the stylist knew what she was doing so I went ahead with it. She used the foam rods and then nearly 3 boxes of perm solution (the owner was mad when she said she needed a 3rd box, so she brought it over and whispered for her to only used half) They kept reading the box directions, so that should of showed me they didn't know what they were doing. She kept telling me to let her know if any of the rods were pulling since you can't pull the hairs, you need to be very gentle. She started taking the rods out and was gentle, the owner came over and started taking them out very roughly on the other side. She then rinsed everything out and moved me to the chair to trim the ends (I had another stylist look at my ends and she said she did a terrible job and they need to be trimmed again) She BRUSHED my hair with a hairbrush and it was rough as it was very knotted. She then put the product in that the owner had brought over (it was a sample size tube) after she started putting it in she realized it was gel and that's not what I needed so she then put mousse in. She clipped my hair up in 3 or 4 places to help scrunch it and then set me under the DRYER for approx 5-10 minutes. I left and the more it dried the worse it looked, it looks fried and frizzy. So I went back about 30 minutes after I had left and I was told over and over how perms only are curly with lots of products (I didn't like the hard crunchy feeling of my hair) and that I had touched my hair too much and that's why it looked bad????? She said nothing could be done until after I waited 48 hours and it could be washed, then it would look better. This morning my hair literally looked like a caveman's hair, it's disgusting and I wish Yelp had a way to share before and after pictures. So I cancelled work and went back to the salon, I was there when the owner opened the store. She was very rude and kept telling me how perms require products (duh!) and that the products in my hair were heavy, once I washed it I would see the curls. I told her about the gel incident and she kept telling me it wasn't gel, so I got the sample from my car to prove that it was gel, which it clearly says on the label, she still argued. So I asked if they put the wrong products in? Of course they didn't, they didn't do anything wrong. I asked for a refund so I could get it corrected somewhere else, nope they don't give refunds, I said if I come back after 48 hours and it still looks terrible will you give me a refund or re do it, nope they will only "teach me how to style it" The owner is very rude, she just kept repeating the same BS over and over. Anytime I tried to speak she would just talk over me. I finally had to say will you let me speak and even then she wouldn't listen. I have gone to 4 different salons and they all agree that they over processed my hair and fried it. They did not do a good job. Now I have to wait another 24 hours before I can wash all the stuff out that they put in my hair and then I have to wait at least a month before I can attempt to even have someone correct the perm. I went to Sally's and spent another $30 on treatments and products to try and save my hair. Anyone who wants to see can message me and I will send you before and after pictures, it's horrid. I was given of the worst haircuts by Naco. I've seen him 2 times & both times when he started cutting he said "oh I cut too much off". I asked to have my hair texturized & that wasn't done at all. The overall haircut was just ok the 1st time & the 2nd time was worse. Also repeatly asking someone if they need water or a glass of wine is very annoying. If I don't want a magazine please don't hand me 3 mags. The pricing is not consistant. I was supposed to have been given a $5 credit since I was overcharged my prior visit & later looking at the receipt I was never given the credit by the owner. When I got home & checked my hair I noticed that he forgot to cut the left side. The receptionist put a note down saying there was a bang trim on the couch & that's when claimed to be done with the cut. Naco seems like a nice person which is why i went back however, my guess is that he just graduated from school. I had a haircut by Victoria once the cut was ok but cut it too short. And, has ZERO personality! I tired talking to her & it was pulling teeth. According to Naco that's basically how she is. I will never go there again. Used to be a loyal customer until i walked in for a simple shellac manicure, waited 20 mins, got an un-thorough fastest manicure i have ever gotten, seemed like they didn't even care. Not a good service.. only 30$. Handed the counter women three 20 dollar bills ($60) got back two 5 dollar bills. You can do the math. Didn't notice going on with my day.. went back literally 10 mins later thinking it wouldn't be a problem to get my $20 back. "No, we don't have it." Argued for a good 20 mins.(will never make that mistake again) I asked if they could check the surveillance cameras. "No, the manager is not in to view them." I said I would wait for him. Then she said that she was the manager and she couldn't view them. Then said that the camera was broken!! Then I was told that the camera wasn't broken, but the screen to view them was. Last time Oasis will ever have my business. Sad to see a pretty local place be run by liars and con-artist. SCAM!!!!! read more
