This is our fourth time at Oasis over the years and it was by far the best it's been for a while. We went there for my birthday on a Wednesday evening. The food was overall very good. However, the chicken for my chicken Parmesan was a bit dry and it felt almost like plastic. However the rest of the food was very good according to my family. Service was good, they accommodated for my surprise birthday cake and were very nice. One of the chairs broke while my dad was sitting on it. That was a bit scary but luckily nothing happened. The ambiance was good very football heavy due tot he World Cup but that was fun. Overall 8/10, not sure how much we paid but the prices were around $20-$30 per person. read more

We really enjoy eating here. Although their menu changes ( they removed buffalo chicken sandwich and penne chicken alfredo from their menu) which were delicious. Their churrasco with rice and beans is delicious. Their mixed drinks are real nice as well. We will keep coming back. read more

My husband and I have been here about 4 times since we moved here and we really like it a lot! The first time we went, I ordered a margarita (my go-to) with a tajin rim, and I'm not sure what the guy's name is, but he made the best one We usually order the traditional ceviche and the peruvian stir fry. Delicious!! Other family members we brought have tried other dishes (salmon, pasta etc) and enjoyed it too. I will say though, the jalea mixta was amazing the first time we ordered it, but the second time was overfried/not the same at all so we haven't ordered it again since. Absolutely inedible chicken wrap (all rice and the cook forgot the black beans); three members of our family went in for lunch and all were disappointed in their food. Two entrees were edible although the Asian chicken was served lukewarm and was cold by the time the other two entrees were served. Music was blaring and the TV going; there was one other table filled in the restaurant. The seats were all worn and the leatherette had ripped off in places. We were not sure if this was a purposeful trendy design. We thought it did not enhance the ambiance in the dining area. The server apologized profusely and took off 25% of the wrap valued at $12 which removed $3.00 from the bill (he indicated that was the maximum allowed). I was charged approximately $2 for the added onion slice on the wrap and was told after the fact. I actually took home the wrap to take a picture of what was served. The server showed me that he included the facts on the electronic receipt noting the substandard quality and quantity of the food and reason he took off the $3. The final bill was $57 for two $12 offerings and one $28 salmon entree excluding the cash tip. Bottom line there are other selections to choose from. I had intended to recommend to our car club members we cruise there and have lunch or dinner however thank you very much but no thanks. Our experience this afternoon was very pleasant. They have a happy hour special while seated at the bar with hors d'oeuvres. We elected to seat in the dining area. Nice wine section reasonably priced. My wife had the chicken. I had the Peruvian stirfry chicken with added shrimp. Waiter was very curious and accommodated my special request. Restaurant was clean. The service is great. The food just subpar. Chewy sushi tuna with too much fat. The good dishes were taken off the menu. Ambience is nice.

My husband and I go to this restaurant often because we are locals. Tonight we came in and they sat us down and forgot about us. They did not bring us waters or menus and after waiting over 25 minutes while an awful hired pianist was playing and a worse singer was singing we just got up and left, telling the hostess we were ignored. Food is overall good, however ordering takeout took longer than expected. I ordered with a friend and his order came out first and he ordered a side salad with his steak but the salad was placed underneath the steak which did not make sense. There is a great vibe when they have live music, great energy. The food is generally pretty flavorful but I would recommend eating in and be patient. On Friday nights it is busy so bring patience overall. read more

Rating is for their new, Sunday Brunch service, which is a big disappointment. Supposed to open at 9 AM, but doors still locked at 9:12 AM, but with their Staff standing around, talking & ignoring Customers banging on the door, trying to get them to open up! Then when prdering, had NO coffe yet avaolable! And no decaf on the menu! Then when food arrived, 4 omelets were ice cold! And no toast served. Order of pancakes arrive with NO syrup! Mexican dish arrived without the sauce garnishment it was supposed to have. And our toast NEVER CAME until long after all our meals were consumed! Surely won't return to experiece this brunch disaster again! read more

I was totally pleased just walking into the Oasis. It's small but very clean and charmingly decorated. The menu is nicely done with all the around town favorites like burgers, salads and such. However, there are items listed that are not the usual and they truly look exciting! Empanadas Grilled octopus Churrasco Steak Salad Wild Mushroom and Steak Burrata! A take on surf and turf I hope to try!! Today for lunch, I had the Peruvian Stir Fry. With a choice of Beef, chicken, shrimp or Tofu, I went with chicken. What a GREAT dish!! Just outstanding flavor and plenty for a lunch. The service here is very nice (thank you Maria!!!) and observant, never in your face. We lacked for nothing. If I had a quibble, it would have been the French fries. I LOVED them but truly didn't need them with this dish, The rice was just fine. More later! The menu selection was nice because they have a little bit of everything, so we ordered the mussels, an empanada, calamari, ribeye, and chicken parm. The calamari was good, but everything else was pretty disappointing. The mussels had a bit of an odd after taste, the empanada wasn't seasoned well, the sauce that came with the empanada was horrible, the chicken parm came out cold, and I asked for my ribeye to be cooked medium and it came out well done. I've had way better ribeyes. We ate our food and paid the bill, but we won't be back. On a positive note, the inside was decorated nicely and our server was nice. read more

Ordered Chicken Stir fry. Received beef instead. Someone should tell them what stir fry is. This was beef fajitas instead Also ordered chicken parmigiana More like breaded chicken. No melted mozzarella just sprinkled parmigiana very dry over cooked. Order a second glass of wine took 10 minutes restaurant was empty. We had an early family dinner at the Oasis, tonight. Just excellent. The Brussels Sprouts appetizer and the churrasco steak with plantains, black beans & rice, and green beans were amazing. We ate here on their opening night a while back, and the menu and decor have been updated since then. If you are in Ave Maria, give the Oasis a try. Good service and reasonable prices as well. Nice atmosphere, casual is okay but a collared shirt vs t-shirt for dinner is the better way to go. I will definitely come back again. They do take reservations. We prefer a quieter experience, so earlier was better. read more

My husband and I went here for the first time and were massively disappointed. My Old Fashioned was OK. My Caesar salad was served in a cereal bowl with what seemed like a hundred croutons just thrown on top. My salmon was salty, overcooked and dry. The asparagus the salmon rested on was salty and tough. My husband ordered the burger medium rare. It arrived virtually raw and was almost revolting. They reheated it but it still wasn't right. My husband lost his appetite. They took it off the bill but the damage was done. Poor quality food. Service is fine. But, I cannot recommend this place. It's too expensive to serve the low quality cuisine we experienced. read more

I stopped in to eat lunch this past January along with my wife and two other couples. We ordered off the lunch menu and we're served fairly quickly. The server was fairly new at the job but was well aware of what were the best items on the menu. The prices were fairly steep for a lunch but were comparable to other local eateries. The biggest problem that I had with this restaurant might sound minor, but it was enough to keep me from going back. It was the ice tea. The ice tea was $4.50 I decided to get another to make the price more liveable. Big mistake. When I got the bill I saw that I was charged an extra $4 for the 2nd ice tea. I've been to the best restaurants in Charleston and elsewhere and never paid extra for a 2nd ice tea. Enough said read more

I would give this place 0 starts if there was that option. To begin the food is horrible and doesn't resemble anything of the plates offered on the menu. They claim to have Peruvian food but the flavor of the food is no where near Peruvian style dishes. The service was very mediocre and the waiter was barely attentive. Overall my experience in this so called "restaurant" was atrocious and I recommend no one to ever come here!!! VERY BAD. I would've preferred eating at mcdonald's over coming here ever again. Excellent food. Service was poor. Took 15 minutes to get a glass of wine. My wife ordered Pinot Grigio, she received a fizzy drink. It was good, but not Pinot Grigio. Salad came out 30 seconds before the entrees. Took another 15 minutes to get another glass of wine. I really want Oasis Kitchen to be great. Service was fine. Nice young man was very apologetic about the way the food arrived. The purpose of an appetizer is that it comes out before the meal. Not with. Because our entees were served at the same time as the app no one touched the app as their entree would get cold. The young man didn't offer to comp the app. The rice with my poke bowl was hard I I ate the tuna but left all the rice untouched. Again no offers to make any amends. The waitress forgot one of our drinks and had to be reminded (only my wife and myself). Then we waited 45 minutes on meal before walking out after paying for our two drinks. No contact from wait staff after requesting forgotten drink. This was at 2:30 in the afternoon and a dozen patrons at best were at bar/dining. Skip this place it's no Oasis!!!! read more

Really unimpressed and Ive been here enough times to now say it's not just a one time thing. The food here is great and Bill the bartender is a 5 star employee, but besides that I can't find anything else that I can compliment. The first time we tried to dine, we were told they were closed and we could only order Togo food and it was 25 minutes before their closing time. So we ordered food and sat at the bar to have a drink while we waited, ended up eating out of boxes at the bar as we had another drink because the wonderful bartender was still serving until the restaurant actually closed. HuNot the end of the world however the waitress didn't give us a chance to sit down or a menu before we were being bombarded for a food order and then the automatic tip was set to 30%, and all the server did was shove an iPad in my face and swipe my card. read more

Arrived today for lunch with my husband shortly after opening at 11am. The atmosphere was amazing. We have ordered to go twice and it was awful so we thought maybe it's better in house well we were wrong. The appetizer was great but the Parmesan crusted chicken over linguini is basically chicken parm and was not as stated in menu. The churrasco has absolutely no flavor that I needed A1. It took quite some time to get our food but that's probably because we waited almost ten min after arrival to be asked for our drink order. I understand they have a good vibes only concept but we are def feeling bad vibes altering eating there. Definitely not worth what we paid and to automatically include gratuity on a two person table is ridiculous. Guess that's the only way the servers get good tips cause the service and food is not helping. Definitely will be sticking to the pub and have no desire to come back and dine here. Upon arriving home we were struck with horrible stomach pains like no other. Save yourself the time and money and go elsewhere.
