We absolutely loved discovering this wonderful restaurant at De Adriatico in Fort Myers / Gulf Coast! The traditional Greek salad was AMAZING: fresh tomatoes, creamy feta cheese, delicious olives, and red onions -- absolutely fresh and flavorful. The pasta with meat sauce was also incredible and full of flavor. The manager was wonderful, and the entire staff made us feel very welcome. Customer service was truly excellent. The only small suggestion I would mention is that the bathroom faucets were not working properly, and the bathrooms could use a little extra TLC to match the rest of the beautiful restaurant. Love this place, I have never had the same thing twice. The food is fabulous and they are large portions for a reasonable price each time I eat here I'm totally impressed. We started with my favorite drink, an Espresso martini. Our appetizer was Eggplant Capres, which was delicious with the Eggplant cooked perfectly and had fresh tomato and fresh mozzarella and perfect for the two of us. My husband had the Porcini Ravioli with Skirt Steak, I opted for the special of Corvina, which was a amazing white fish similar to a Chilean Bass in a delicious Scampi sauce but not a typical scampi sauce but their house made white sauce, simply amazingly scrumptious!!! It came with grilled Asparagus and mashed potatoes. For dessert we shared a Chocolate Mousse with fresh whipped cream with a popover drizzled with chocolate and so light and fluffy. Our waiter Zach was so pleasant and extremely attentive to make sure we were satisfied but not too bothersome, he was very aware of the specials without looking at a list but from memory, which I appreciated, it showed me he really is excited about what is offered and proud of the specials and made them all sound so delicious !!!!!!!! We will definitely ask for him again, he also spent time to chat as well. The food and Ambiance are excellent. We had great service from Zach on our first visit. We brought some friends on our second visit and the service was lacking. The server wanted to take our dinner orders and seamed offended that we asked for our drinks that hadn't arrived yet. Needless to say our drinks and appetizers arrived at the same time. Our apps and meals were excellent. Other staff members delivered our food and refilled our water. Our actual server was not very attentive and didn't offer to get any of us another drink until our meals were done. We'll probably try it again for the great food and atmosphere! read more

Hit and miss on our first try at De Adriatico. Location: very nice restaurant inside and out (nice patio area for when the weather cools). Nice warm greeting at the door and seated promptly for our 6:00 reservation. Service: Our server was overly attentive at first but then went missing when we actually needed her. Food: appetizers, table of 4, we started with the clams, sauce was fantastic, only issue was 5-6 of the clams were not open (not a good thing). When we finally saw our server and told her, she had the manager know and they re fired some new ones for us, not necessary but a nice touch. We also had the calamari, very non traditional but delicious! Main courses: Chicken parm got a thumbs up, Lemon chicken thumbs down (bland) and grilled calamari with linguine, (fair, but bland as well). Desert: terimisu, outstanding, one of the best we've had. Absolutely loved this restaurant with its unique menu and friendly staff. We ate dinner at De Adriatico this weekend and were met with smiles and warm greetings from the beginning of our night to the end. We started with drinks -- I tried their lemon drop martini, which was perfectly sweet and sour. The complimentary warm, herby pitas and sweet, diced tomato, onion, and balsamic dip were a delicious start to the night. With so many different items on the menu it was difficult to pick an entree, but I cannot resist fresh pasta. I ordered the linguine goulash, which has a rich and savory sauce filled with chopped beef. My friend ordered and loved the stuffed fiocchetti, which is very unique with its stuffed purse pasta shape and sweet pear and ricotta filling with white sauce and walnuts. Another member of our group ordered the chicken marsala, which came with very flavorful chicken and sauce, and tender roasted vegetables. We liked the larger portion sizes and decent prices for fresh pasta and high quality ingredients. We were too full to try dessert, but my eye is on the chocolate lava cake for next time! As nice surprise, Hugo -- the owner of De Adriatico, stopped by while we were eating and greeted every table. The passion he has for his food and those he meets was evident. The other night, my boyfriend and I visited here, and we were both so impressed by how incredible the food is! We had Aldo as our server, and he was wonderful and very knowledgeable about the menu. We started with the white wine clams and beef carpaccio, and I instantly knew this restaurant was going to become one of my favorites. The clams with the sauce were absolutely delicious, and the beef carpaccio was superb. For our main courses, my boyfriend ordered the rack of lamb, and I had the lamb shank. I honestly felt like I had died and gone to heaven while eating the lamb shank -- it was so flavorful, especially with the saffron Arborio risotto. I even got to taste my boyfriend's rack of lamb, which was also amazing -- the moistest rack I've ever had! The owner came over to say hello and chat with my boyfriend, since he is from Croatia; Hugo is from the former Yugoslavia. Hugo is genuinely one of the nicest people I've ever met. We finished our dinner with Limoncello and their homemade chocolate mousse -- I haven't had such fantastic chocolate mousse since I was a little girl. It was heavenly! If you're looking for a truly exceptional dining experience, I highly recommend this restaurant because every dish is made with so much love. This is a gem! We are in town visiting some family and they brought us to this wonderful little restaurant in Estero. It is a Mediterranean style restaurant with a European flair and a family run business. Our waiter Peter is a son on law of the owner the hostess is a neice and the owner Hugo stopped by to check on us. We started with a pita type homemade warm bread with fresh Bruscetta that comes on the table when you arrive. Hugo recommended the Eastern European Vodka which was very smooth. We all went with different dishes one went with the osso buco, one with shrimp and scallops. My wife had the lobster ravioli, and I had the Fresh made paperdelli pasta, beef stroganoff. Each was so fresh and delicious! The Osso Buco came with a yellow rice, The Shrimp and scallops came with mashed potatoes and asparagus. My Stroganoff had a scoop of Tzatzki. Bhel stuck with the chicken and vegetables soup. I decided on the Stuffed Cabbage. The Dip Medley was only okay. The hummus was rough and not well seasoned. The Baba Ganoush was ground like salsa. The other dip was some cross between Tzaziki and Layne,, but it was the best of 3. My stuffed cabbage could have been a hit, but it wasn't. The stuffing had nice composition but the marinara was overpoweringly salty. I think salt is the only herb or spice they use here. The mashed potatoes were plain and cold. The seasonal vegetables weren't, just oily. My wife couldn't chew the chicken in the Chicken Soup. Unbelievable... We won't return here again, not even if they paid us. read more

We have had Adriatico on the list for a long time and finally made it for my hubby's bday! We are so glad we tried it out. My hubby is from Bolivia so we thought it was neat that the owner had Bolivian roots! Aldo was a phenomenal server. He was so kind, funny, attentive, and took great care of us. Ask for him if you're in! We ordered the wedge salad to start - Amazing!! It was a little on the saucier side and I would have liked more crumbles, but it hit the spot! They brought out some pita with bruschetta. Sooo yummy and fresh. I almost licked the bowl! We got the veal, sea bass, chicken parm and gluten free pasta as our main dishes. My mom has an allergy to gluten and dairy and they were able to accommodate her! We absolutely loved everything we tried. They had a ton of chef specials, including the sea bass. It was perfectly cooked, had a nice creamy sauce and was so good with the asparagus and mashed potatoes. The ambiance is so fun. The courtyard patio look is just adorable. We sat inside and the tables are a bit close together but it's not very loud which is nice. We got the baklava, chocolate mousse and the tiramisu for dessert and I have to say the mousse was my favorite but it was a very close tie between all of them. We had the most amazing food. We asked to be moved to a less noisier section and the owner moved us to a quite section. The menu is not traditional Italian. They have stuffed cabbage rolls. Stuffed bell peppers. Mom had the short rib. It was a real short rib. Bone and all. She only needed her fork to cut thru. It had homemade mashed potatoes and fresh asparagus. I had the Chilean Sea Bass with a light cream sauce. It was perfectly cooked. I reluctantly gave my mother a taste. . We booked her birthday dinner for November. They had a spinach soup that could have been made with cream. I think it was a milk base. It had such a wonderful flavor that I didn't want to share. I came this evening in a group of 20. Our two waiters did a great job in handling everything, Jesse and Joel. The best part was the owner came by took pictures for our group and when we left he and the staff sincerely thanked us for coming. We started with the calamari and it was pretty good wasn't fan of their marinara sauce though. Unfortunately I had ordered the chicken parm which again had the marinara on it. The chicken was cooked well and the pasta is made fresh daily. I can't put my finger on what exactly I didn't like about the marinara but to me it didn't smell or taste very good. Must be some of the spices they use to make it much different than Italian style I am use to from other restaurants. My wife had the Kritharoto with shrimp and it had a saffron rice. We had the zucchini and calamari appetizer with marinara sauce and it was delicious. Ceasar salad is big enough to share and it's fresh and delicious. I had the chicken Milan which had a fried chicken over Greek salad. My husband had the chicken parmigiana and he said the spaghetti it comes with was homemade. The menu is eclectic based on the owners travels so in that way it's unique. Italian dishes, goulash,middle eastern choices , the menu is unlike any other.
