They can't keep a head chef. The service is good depending on the hour of the day. The food used to be great when we moved to Del Webb five years ago and had a better menu. Great food and friendly staff. Service was not the best in terms of drink refills because we the only party dining inside. However food was served quickly and the check was promptly taken care of. 21% gratuity was automatically added. Fortunately I would have tipped that much anyway. Everyone's food was quite good. I liked my salmon strips which had a peppery light flour breading. The ribeye special looked a little fatty but it was a good size and came with veggies and a huge baked potato. The salad bar was great with some special toppings including sun dried tomatoes and three-bean salad. Went there at around 11:30 on 1/30/2024, after being greeted by no one we asked a lady where we should sit, was told inside or outside, our choice. Sat down outside directly in front of the bar, it was not busy at all. after being ignored for almost 15 minutes a waitress asked if we had been helped? No apologies, the girl behind the bar is pointing out golfers she thinks she sees to another guy behind the bar, while we are being ignored. Ok things happen, we order 2 beers and wait another 10 minutes. we can see the bar, the bartender, and our waitress just disappears. So of course we just left. No greeting from anyone coming or going. I don't like to leave negative reviews but this is warranted. read more

Thursday night we had prime ribbon it was absolutely delicious cooked to perfection. Last night we had to stir fry special chicken or shrimp and both were delicious with the fried rice and the egg rolls were delicious. Such a good job kudos to the chef read more

The Rusty Putter added a new menu recently. I ordered the pretzel and the Chicken with mushroom sauce. The pretzel was huge!! One of the best soft pretzels I have had. The chicken was amazing as well. I am glad the new menu included more basic options. Can't wait to try more. read more

Ah, the rusty putter. The name itself should give away the fact that this establishment is for the gleaming young putters of today but the dilapidated ones of yesterday. The food is there to match this sentiment. I just finished the most bland reuben sandwich I ever had the misfortune to come across. It nearly rivaled my friend's beyond awful burger! There was one piece of meat on this reuben. It was so thick cut that I am surprised it was served at this establishment. How are these elderly citizens, with their dentures, able to masticate such tough beef? Finally, I came across the pickle. It was at the bottom of my box. It was low tier and did not taste very good. Calling it bland is a compliment. Needlessly, I shall not return. Also, it was a really long wait for such mediocrity. read more

Unfortunately today 12/26/2021 I visited the Rusty Putter in Ave Maria to have drinks and dinner with my granddaughter who is visiting me for the Holidays from Beverly Hills Ca, Her artist name is Solenevelvet, she is a musician, songwriter, model and famous influencer. We were told some of the customers complained of how she was dressed. She is a young 27 years old and will not dress like a 70 year old. She is young business young lady visiting Grandma and I have no right to tell her how she should dress. I am sadly disappointed how laws don't apply to young kids eating at the bar or older people showing to the bar wearing a swing suit. I do not think it's appropriate to see older women showing their bodies at any time at the bar. Melinda the restaurant manager was very rude to my granddaughter who for the first time came to see where her grandmother live. I am very hurt for the way this woman Melinda approached me in front f every one at the bar. Us and totally ruined my quality time with my granddaughter. read more

The food & menu choices are seriously subpar compared to other restaurants in local gated communities..like Village Walk in Bonita. Village Walk does a basic food menu & they do a great job. Why not just try a basic menu & first try to execute that, instead of trying to offer several fancy dishes that are loaded with msg & salt. Had friends visiting & they unfortunately tried the Fish Fryday, very overcooked & burnt. Chicken w/mushroom sauce very salty. Grouper dinner, asked for blackened, forgot the blackened, smallest piece of fish I've ever been served, maybe 3 oz. minnow. How about mastering the art of a basic Little Dipper sandwich, Turkey or Reuben sandwich. 1 sad little slice of pastrami, a lonely slice of turkey with wilted lettuce. We sent the Little Dipper French dip sandwich back & kitchen said they put 4 oz of meat on the sandwich. BBQ rib night MEH. The servers are friendly & try their best. (Per a former employee kitchen is too small to put out food in a timely fashion) The only pros are the relaxing views of the golf course & water, nice screened in seating. Restaurant could stand to be revamped, a little like an assisted living setting old furniture feel. Hampton Golf's Food & Beverage needs to step in & fix this problem. The Del Webb community & golfers deserve to have a good, decent restaurant. Only those with no taste buds can appreciate the food at the Rusty Putter. read more

I have eaten here every time I Golf Panther Run. I have never been disappointed in their food. Their service can be slow but the wait staff is very friendly and they work hard. The chef does a great job on the homemade soups. We usually have anywhere from 8-12 of us after golf and not one person has complained about the food. Second time in the last few days that this place has disappointed me. I order the half Caesar salad with grilled chicken and got wilted lettuce with cold chicken. I asked my husband if his fish on a Caesar was cold, he said it was Luke warm. When I asked the waitress if the cold grilled chicken was standard she said "oh, it was cold?" We found ourselves here for Valentines night dinner and were pleasantly surprised. They had a $21.95 prime rib buffet that was actually quite good. I went back for seconds as the meat was tender and delicious. My wife's not a big meat eater..but they had some fish and chicken as part of the buffet..so something for everyone. potatoes and veggies were fine. The ladies received a nice large rose and we each received a decadent chocolate covered strawberry. I had a Manhattan for my cocktail...I've had better..served in the wrong type of martini glass...but it was fine. Wife enjoyed her pinot grigio. Its a nice enough place....right on the golf course. Four of us had lunch on friday and Mahi Mahi on all four dishes was overcooked, hard, dried out, salty, one was raw and cold inside. Disgusting! I asked for grouper grilled for replacement of fish and chef did get that right. However,very disappointing and i would suggest to take Mahi off the menu. Last Easter, Mahi Mahi was on their buffet and dried out. I should have remembered how awful it was. it will be a long time before I return for a meal there. No wonder we had most of the place to ourselves. Locals know their reputation. Paid $80.00 for a disappointing lunch with their built in tip. I got a golf special that included $10 voucher per playing golfer for same day use at restaurant. I got there, NO food service because chef was too busy preparing a "pasta night." The waitresses were very embarrassed & apologetic but again, we had seen menu online & planned for a lunch after 9 holes of golf in the hot sun...not complimentary peanuts. When I complained directly to the head chef Andrew McLaughlin, he said he was short staffed with an arrogant, unapologetic, pompous attitude. On March 30, 2017 my wife and I ate there while looking at homes in Del Webb, Naples, FL. In fact the restaurant is located in the Del Webb Sales Office! Unfortunately it appears I left the card there after charging the meal. UNBELIEVABLY this afternoon I received an alert from Bank of America about fraudulent charges being made on the card this afternoon. I know it is on me for forgetting to retrieve the card.
