Tomoko Spa is located on a very busy street, but you forget all that as soon as you step inside. They do a really great job of creating a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. The experience starts with a 15 min foot soak/massage, and that already was divine. The masseuse puts the perfect amount of pressure, and that combined with the warm water, almost put me to sleep, haha. For the body massage part, the masseuse asks you what parts you want focused on and how much pressure you would like. They are also really good at checking in at various parts of the massage to make sure you are completely satisfied. I really appreciated how thorough they are with the massage and also how proactive they are in making sure you are enjoying the experience. At the end of the massage, we were given hand-whisked matcha tea to drink, and they also provided us jelly, a handwritten note, and a rose to celebrate our anniversary :) We had such a lovely experience, and I cannot recommend this place enough, whether to celebrate a special occasion, or just to treat yourself! ** If you book a couple's massage, they provide complimentary parking in the lot next to the spa, otherwise there's paid street parking or parking garages available nearby

My husband and I came to Ole Henriksen Face/Body Spa to celebrate our wedding, and I genuinely cannot say enough wonderful things about our experience. We were being treated by a friend as a wedding gift so we had a specific budget to work within, and I had absolutely no idea which treatments to choose or what would make the most sense for us. Before our visit, I called and spoke with Carla, who was incredibly patient and helpful. She walked me through all of the services they offer, answered every question I had, and gave us amazing recommendations without making me feel rushed or pressured. When we arrived, Samantha checked us in and happened to overhear my husband mention to me that he's always wanted to try red light therapy. She immediately offered us both a complimentary 10-minute session. It was such a thoughtful and unexpected gesture, and only the beginning of how special everyone made our day feel!! My husband had his massage with Nadia and said he has never felt better after a massage. She appreciated his direction and tailored the entire tx to exactly what his body needed rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach. He cannot stop talking about how amazing he feels!! I had my cucumber and honey body cocktail with Melissa, and she was an absolute angel. She was so warm and sweet, and the tx itself was incredible!!! From the moment she introduced herself I could tell she's not only exceptional at what she does, but genuinely cares about creating a wonderful experience. When I mentioned that we were celebrating our wedding, she completely surprised us by arranging a complimentary 45-minute couples Moroccan bath after our individual treatments. Blanca, the bath attendant, had everything beautifully set up for us in a private room with ambient red lighting, two huge tubs filled with essential oils and jets, full glasses of champagne, tea, and snacks. It was romantic, luxurious, and so so thoughtful. Just the perfect way to relax together and *soak* in this new chapter of our lives. Every single person we interacted with made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for. Everyone seemed genuinely excited to make our experience special, and it was overwhelmingly beyond anything we could have hoped. We can't wait to come back!!!

The first thing I'm going to talk about, is the incredible spa that they have in Beverly Hills…read moreEquinox! Where do I begin... Let's begin with Jackie! She's the spa manager and also the best aesthetician I've worked with! Ive had three facials with her, the Hydra-facial every time. She makes you feel very comfortable, greets you with a huge smile, asks you detailed questions about your skin, and most importantly makes it a fun and relaxing experience. At the same time, she takes her work very seriously. Both as an aesthetician and a spa manager! That's why she's so good at what she does and makes your face look beautiful! She has recommended me products, which I bought and use daily, and gave me a very detailed list of what to use and when to use it. People think I am 7 to 8 years younger ever since I started with her. I'm not joking! I called the spa once because I forgot which products to use during the day or night, she graciously answered every question and was very patient. And when I see her around the gym, she's always smiling and making me feel very welcome. A very positive person! So if you're thinking about getting a facial, go nowhere other than the spa in Beverly Hills Equinox and ask for Jackie! Kris, who is a masseuse at the spa, gave me probably the best massage I've ever had! I've had two massages with her, and I will continue booking them. I injured my back, and after the massage I was cured! She also used cupping on me. That helped a lot as well to relieve toxins and help anxiety and stress. I originally booked a 50 minute massage with her, and extended it to 110 minutes! Yes, she's that good! So book a massage with Kris immediately! You must train with Rafael!! I've had six or seven sessions with him, and I'll continue booking more! He's very good at what he does, takes it very seriously. But also, jokes around and makes it fun! You have to have fun while you're working out and make it a great experience. Rafeal does just that! And even after six sessions with him, I can see a difference physically! Another person who is constantly complementing me and making me feel welcome at the gym! And even if I'm not training with him, he helps me out with my form and how much weight I should be lifting. Train with Rafael! You won't regret it. Jeremy is another incredible trainer! He's always motivating me, and keeping a positive attitude at the gym! Also have had great stretching sessions with him as well! And yet again, another person that likes to have fun and train at the same time! Someone who takes his work seriously as well! Train with Jeremy as well! Another manger, La, is always smiling and making jokes with me. She takes the time to talk to me if I'm walking by or on the treadmill , if I have a question, or just a casual conversation. She's always super positive, always says to me, "you're killing it today!" Thank you La! You are seriously doing a great job! Don't pass Ruth at the front desk! She makes you feel right at home when you walk in! I'll sit and chat with her for 10 to 15 minutes after my workout and we'll talk about current events and have a good laugh! Very cool girl! There is NO high pressure sales with any staff member at the gym! I'm sure I'm leaving plenty of people out, but unfortunately can't credit everyone. But everyone deserves a praise! So the bottom line... I've never had a bad experience with anyone at Beverly Hills Equinox! Not with the trainers, the staff, the managers, everyone at the spa... Everything has been phenomenal!! I enjoy going to that gym! And that's a very important thing. You really don't wanna look at your exercise routine as a chore or something you don't look forward to. It's frustrating to see people complain about such petty things at this gym in previous reviews. We're not performing brain surgery here people, so hopefully everyone can lighten up! I hope that my review will help people sign up for this gym or if you're not happy, give it a second chance. Thanks again, Beverly Hills Equinox!

I would consider the Beverly Hills Equinox my home gym for a few years now. I've been a member…read moresince before Covid and used to REALLY love this gym. I still love it and it holds a few special memories of my office literally sharing a wall with the gym and at exactly 4pm the music bumping from a workout class, to going early in the mornings in a suit, quickly changing, getting my workouts and sauna in, showering and then walking straight to my office down the hall. It was very convenient for me and I was in some of the greatest shape of my life at one time. I think this place was at its peak when it had Oliver Cafe joined with it and they would serve smoothies and food. I would sometimes take a break and grab a quick smoothie and go back to my office. I will say I like the gym and layout a little more than the Encino Location and it feels more spacious. The staff are very nice but the trainers will hound you in the gym and call you nonstop and that's where Encino location tops this one. I love the sauna room, the eucalyptus towels and the showers and locker area is always clean. They have great customer service and the quality of amenity's are top notch compared to other gyms I've been to. Between Encino and Beverly Hills I'm definitely choosing this one for environment and energy but Encino for privacy, and a nice quiet relaxing workout. However, I have taken a tour of the Woodland Hills one and that one seems super legit! This is my home though. Please get another restaurant or smoothie shop in this location soon! My husband loved it. The massages are a little rough, so I asked for them to be a little softer. But, I'm kinda a baby with massages, like I don't book deep tissue type of massages. The masseuse went on top of my back on all fours lol. I started laughing when she did that, she started to giggle too. I told my husband she was so petite I didn't mind it. The spa areas were very clean and aesthetically pleasing. I didn't bring a bathing suit, so I couldn't use the co-ed area which looked so peaceful and relaxing. The spa offered shorts for men, so my husband utilized the co-ed hot tubs. He said he was the only person in the co-ed area and men's side. In the women's area, where they had the hit tubs, women are nude. So, it's a little stressful at first because I never been to a spa where people are nude. But, I eventually got comfortable and enjoyed the hot tubs. The women's are that had the clay room, salt room, and sauna required robes. That area was so relaxing. The clay area was my favorite.
