It wasn't bad or inedible, just lacking seasoning. There was very little salt or flavor, so it didn't really stand out or meet the standard many of us expected. The venue itself is beautiful. The inside has a classic, historic feel, and you can tell the building has been around for quite some time. Certain areas really showcase that charm. There is also plenty of parking, which is always a plus. One small thing to note is the cobblestone area as you approach the building it looks nice but isn't the most heel-friendly. Thankfully, there's a sidewalk around it. All in all, the Heritage Club is still a great place to host meetings or events, especially for larger groups. The atmosphere and service are consistently strong, even if the lunch this year was a bit on the plain side.

When we arrived, the hall was dirty, and instead of setting up and decorating, I had to clean the venue myself. There was no help from the owner, which caused major delays and resulted in me still decorating when guests arrived. The owner was rude, unprofessional, and extremely unhelpful. The venue lacked basic necessities: * No paper towels in the bathroom * No proper sink, kitchen area, or refrigerator * No assistance with setting up a Bluetooth speaker Approximately 70 guests attended, and the venue became dangerously overcrowded. There was no clear walking path, and it was almost impossible to reach the bathroom. In an emergency, people would have been trampled trying to exit. This was a serious fire hazard, and the Fire Marshal should have shut this place down. After the event, the owner aggressively texted my pregnant sister, using profanity over two bags of trash, even though we cleaned the entire hall out of courtesy. We were never told cleaning was required, and no contract was ever signed. This venue is misleading, unsafe, and run unprofessionally. I strongly recommend finding another location. Do not use this company.

I frequently travel 20 miles to dine in Farmingdale specifically for a premium culinary experience, but this visit ensures that Vespa is no longer a destination restaurant for me. For our table, I ordered two orders of your signature "Clams Vespa" appetizer. According to your menu, this dish features baked little neck or top neck clams. Instead, we were served tiny, cockle-sized clams that were severely overcooked. They were so badly burnt that it was entirely impossible to extract any clam meat from the shells because it was stuck completely. When I raised this issue with our waitress, she brought back a single replacement plate. While this second plate of tiny clams was prepared correctly and tasted delicious because they weren't burnt, it only resolved half of the issue. When I brought up the bill discrepancy to my server, she stated she would hand it to the manager. However, after waiting 15 minutes with no resolution, I was forced to get up, approach the manager myself, and state that I wanted to leave. Only then did the manager expedite the bill correction and take one order of clams off my tab. Between dealing with unannounced substitutions, poor kitchen quality control, and a frustratingly slow service recovery process, the evening was highly disappointing. Combined with an aggressive parking citation issued on Main Street during our meal, the entire 40-mile round trip felt like a complete waste of time and money. I expected much higher quality control and efficiency from a restaurant of your reputation. I hope you address these kitchen execution and front-of-house communication issues so that other long-distance diners are not subjected to the same experience.
