I came here with my cousin, aunt and sister to get our nails done on Black Friday! I have been here a couple times before but never really had a memorable experience but this visit definitely​ changed that! We called ahead of time to make appointments and they were very agreeable over the phone. We got 4 appointments for manicures, the receptionist​ was very helpful and there were no issues. We arrived at the salon which is nicely decorated. The manicure area is separate​ from the pedicure area, which I thought was a nice touch. I waited for ​the longest (about 3 minutes) until someone took me to get my nails done. My nail stylist, Mia was very helpful and helped me choose my color for me. I told her kind of what I envisioned, and she chose from there. The color was spot on and I am very happy with the choice. She started to work on my nails and did a fantastic job. She took consideration with my cuticles and made sure I liked the nail shape. When she started to paint my nails, she did something I had never seen before. I got a shellac manicure and instead of doing one hand at a time, she did one finger. I had never seen this before and was pleasantly surprised​. It was obvious that she truly took the time to make sure each nail was perfect and I appreciated this greatly. My nails look perfect and I am very happy with the end result. Avoid, avoid, avoid!! Worst manicure ever. No cuticle trimming, no hand massage, and the dip powder/bonder was everywhere --- on my hands, down my fingers, and the dip was so poorly applied that I couldn't move my skin away from the back of my nails. When I complained to the owner, her response was "I could fix it but it would hurt you". Then they tried to charge me full price for the worst manicure o have ever received. I should also mention that while getting my pedicure, I watched a nail tech taken an open "sterile bag" out of a drawer, quickly rinse and dry used tools, and put them in the "sterile packaging". I used to love this place but I'm the type of person who finds customer service VERY important especially because I work in customer service. This was my favorite spot to come get my pedicure done and I had recently gotten my manicure done at a different nail salon so I thought I'd come here and get my color change and my pedicure. I asked the price for the color change and she told me $10 and that was fine. When I sat down to get my color change the girl who was doing it started filing my nails and I noticed she was making them square and I asked her to keep them round. And the owner walked by and they talked to each other and then the owner said they're going to charge me extra for reshaping and I would've been fine with it if I had asked to RESHAPE my nails but the girl doing my nails didn't communicate anything to me about reshaping and then told the owner my nails were uneven so she was making them even......again without saying a word to me. So I told the owner I didn't ask for my nails to be reshaped and she said "we charge more for reshaping" again I said I didn't ask for it and I didn't know it would be an extra charge. Also I Communicated that I am not trying to argue with her I am just letting her know I wasn't aware. She got rude and snappy with me and told me she will not do my pedicure and just the polish change and I communicated that I originally came here for a pedicure and I still wanted one and she said "I will not do pedicure because you're not happy" I wouldn't care how much she would have charge me if she had delivered better customer service and was not rude to me. I showed her my nails in the beginning and the girl who did my nails never communicated with me when she started to even out my nails. When I come in I always get seated quickly regardless of how busy it is in the place but this time around I got dip and it chipped 8 days in. I go in to get it fixed and she couldn't find my color to match so she wanted to guess. I asked her if it was the wrong color when she was done should redo it and she said no. I asked her how much it would be just to switch colors all together and she would've charged me the full amount. My sister took me to Obsession in order to get my nails done. I was pretty excited because I consider this to be a treat. Getting my nails done is not something I typically splurge on. I had just painted my nails but was still excited at the prospect of getting them professionally done. I picked what appeared to be a sparkly light pink color. She first began to give me a manicure before putting on the dip. She never spoke to me throughout this process. It was only as the final coat was applied that I realized the color was not what I expected. She also cut my fingers in multiple places during my manicure. As a result, I could not even ask for them to be redone because even placing the top coat on burned my cuts. She finally spoke to me and just stated "sorry" once she realized that she had cut me. I used to get my nails done often, and finally gave up because the shellac and sometimes dip would not only ruin my nails but hardly lasted, as I have naturally oily nail beds and extremely hard on my hands being in the landscaping/car detailing business, a fire fighter and physical therapist. Not to mention how 90% OF NAIL SALONS would not take care of my cuticles nevermind go down to them.....however I recently went on a vacation to Mexico and wanted to get them done. Additionally, I moved here from MA about a year ago, and have only gotten my nails done once per recommendation for a wedding. And of course maybe hardly lasted a Week... I chose Obsession nails for several reasons ....1. they were open until 8pm (and I work till 7pm) 2. they only charged $40 for a Dip manicure, and 3. a patient had recommended it. And....oh MY GOSH!!!! Literally the best manicure I have ever gotten! It has been 3 weeks and still no flipping up the edges, catching, or chipping! My nail technician was Rose, and even though I was her last appointment at the end of her long busy day, I did not feel like my service was rushed at by any means, she was extremely professional, hospitable, accommodating and amenable to all of my nit-picky anal requests (given my past experiences elsewhere).... Because who wants to spend that kind of money and not only get what you want/expect BUT ALSO have them last?! Am I right?! i'll add pics later, but i want to write this while it's fresh in my head. i went to this salon bc my 2 go-to's were booked and i needed a fill. i should've checked the reviews first. anyway, i told the receptionist i could be there in 10 minutes, and she told me they could fit me in. as soon as i walk in, i noticed how oddly close the receptionist josh desk is to the front door. the waiting areas are crowded into the corners off the sides. the staff appeared disorganized and unapproachable. but i wrote my name down on what looked like a sign-in sheet but was ultimately never referenced. some patrons had appointments, some didn't. but there were lots of women there and i needed my nails done before today, so i was willing to wait it out. i waited about 15 minutes before i was told to sit at someone's work station. the nail tech at the next station explained to me that he's in the back eating bc they work all day and seldom take breaks to eat. i didn't need that contradictory info, ok? then the guy comes out after about 5 minutes and tells me to move to another work station, which i promptly did. he told me "it's her turn [to do the next set of nails]," as he motioned towards an empty work station. whatever.. so i move and u wait. another 10 minutes go by and here she is. i showed her pics on pinterest of what i wanted my nails to look like. showing & telling her exactly what i wanted turned out to be a big waste of time. she nicked me with that electric file at least 4 times. i stopped counting after that. one i'll have to add more later. i'm so sleepy righ UPDATE 8/14/19: i see that you the owner has responded and wants another chance. my regular place is booked right now so i think i'll give them another chance today. read more

I was frowning down at my feet yesterday, and I was caught in the act by my love. I sheepishly explained that I wasn't happy because I'm not good at giving myself pedicures. He looked at me with a very patient and amused expression and said, "Maybe you should get a pedicure at a nail salon tomorrow." Well, reader, you might be thinking, "DUH!" But I'm of a practical mindset, and it simply didn't occur to me because I have several nail polishes at home... so why would I go to a salon? At any rate, I decided to take my darling's suggestion. I did some research and called a few salons. Obsession Nail & Spa had the most reasonable prices in my area: Pedicure: $27 Spa pedicure: $33 French tip: Add $5 A regular pedicure here includes nail polish removal, nail trim, nail shaping and buffing, mini massage and nail polish application. A spa pedicure here includes nail polish removal, nail trim, nail shaping and buffing, foot and leg scrub with mini massage, leg mask with mini massage and hot towel and nail polish application. I headed over to the nail salon, which is nestled between Buffalo Wild Wings and Pei Wei in the plaza across from Crittenton Hospital. Parking was no problem as the lot is pretty sizable. I entered the salon, and I was glad to see that there were several women getting their nails done. The woman in the reception area immediately greeted me with a smile, inquired what service I wanted and brought me to the back room where the pedicures are performed. She turned on the chair's massage, started the water and invited me to sit as my nail technician would be right with me. I really appreciated that she took the time to do these things because I have been in nail salons where they just leave you sitting or standing around, at a loss for what to do. I settled in and pulled out the book I had brought to read (they do have a pile of People and the like), but I didn't get very far as my nail technician arrived quickly. Sally was my nail technician. She was very personable and kind, and she had the perfect balance between chatting and comfortable silence during the nail service. I really dread chatterboxes and, even worse, the nail technician who doesn't speak at all and only gives you stony gazes, but I digress. Sally was also very considerate of my comfort in regard to water temperature, towel temperature and whether I was satisfied with the shape of the French tip. Overall, I really enjoyed the spa pedicure I received here, and I was pleased to see that they open a new set of sterilized nail clippers, cuticle trimmers and cuticle pusher for each client. This was one of the worst manicures I've ever had. My nails are rough on the edges, and they didn't even offer me any lotion. My fingers felt like sandpaper after. The receptionist and the stylist were not friendly at all. I would never go here again. My nail salon always has you wash your hands after cleaning up your nails and puts lotion on before starting the Polish or gel. read more

Nails chipped after 3 days. gel polish on acrylic almost never chips and hasn't happened to me in the years i've been getting them done. came and in and asked nicely for them to fix the few nails. they made it very uncomfortable and didn't say a word to me or apologize at that. she rushed through to fix them and i had to request she cap the ends which she didn't do....she then walked away and i had to ask another tech to wipe my nails. my nails chipped again less than 4 hours later. obviously not going to bother going back. plus who has the time to go to the nail salon 3 times in a week. very unhappy experience. read more

When I showed them a picture of what I wanted at the front desk the women told me that "it's ugly" and if "I'm sure I want that". All the women at the front desk proceeded to laugh and make fun of me. I just sat there and waited until I was assigned a person to do my nails as I could just tell they were just rude girls still high school. As I sat down the girl doing my nails went to the front desk to get something. The girls that made fun of me proceeded to tell her that my nail choice is very ugly and to tell me they can't do that style. The lady came back and didn't say anything but I heard what they said to her. HALF WAY through my nails the lady tells me that they don't have the right colors to do my nails. I knew this was a lie because the nails I wanted were a nude color ombré to black. What nail salon doesn't have the most basic colors nude and black? I tell her that how can they not have those colors and she proceeds to pretend to not understand what I was saying. Very unprofessional and just rude overall. I can't believe this behavior goes on in this place. I also left out at first since I was doing a design (ombré) they charged me more. Since they "didn't have those colors" she just left me with a nude nail. Completely not what I wanted but okay. I go to the front desk to pay which I should've just walked out. They charge me for the design I wanted even though the didn't do it. Such a horrible experience. They charged me the 75$ that I would have paid if I had gotten the design I wanted. Obsessed! Have been searching for a great nail salon for years and finally found it. This place is great for shellac, they guarantee 2 weeks with free repairs. I have very thin nails and had 2 crack about a week after my manicure. They fixed them both and added a new top coat to all my nails with a mini manicure (lotion and oil). I tried to tip and they wouldn't let me because they said it was under the 2 weeks! Will definitely continue to return. read more

They didn't ask what length for my acrylics, and smudged the nail towards the end and did not fix it. I had such a great first time experience there . I walked in very close to closing time in desperate need of a mani / pedi. Not only was I able to get a great mani ( the owner made my shorter nails look fabulous ) as I was trying to make an app for tomorrow to come back for a pedi she said we can do that for you today ! It will save you time and money to do it today ! I said are you sure ? It's so close to closing time .... she said sure , no problem. So she set me up at the pedicure station to soak and her nephew did my pedi .... I will never set foot in this business again. I went in with my mom and best friend for mani/pedis for my wedding. We had an appointment, but clearly they were just squeezing us in and we had to wait. It was hands down the worst pedicure I've ever had. My 4 year old niece could have done a better job. The man cut my toenails extremely short, filed one of them on an angle, and the polish didn't even reach the end of my nail. It was so bad I removed the polish as soon as I got home. My nail dip was okay for the first two days, then the top coat on every nail started chipping off and they didn't look very good for my wedding. I would have complained while I was there, but right after he was done, another customer dropped and broke a bottle of bright red nail polish at the drying station and it went all over my friend. It was all over her outfit, on her purse, in her wedding ring, and ruined her nails. I could not believe how the manager treated us. She tried her best to ignore us and brushed us off until she realized we weren't leaving until she spoke with us. She literally said, "it's not my fault", still made my friend pay, and refused to redo her nails. Her entire outfit was ruined, she had to have her nails redone, and have her engagement ring and wedding band professionally cleaned. My mom called the manager when we got home and asked to speak to the owner. The manager told her the owner was out of town and that they'd need to contact their lawyer. (What?!) It took the owner over two weeks to get back in touch with us. She finally, very reluctantly, agreed to give my friend $100, which wasn't even close to the amount of damage that was caused by their poorly located nail polish displays, which are right over the drying station on a marble counter, where people are sitting. read more

I went there yesterday for a shellac manicure...something I have been doing every two weeks, for years. On this visit, I saw Vu. While a very nice man, he had no idea of the unsanitary practices he participated in. While tending to my cuticles, rather than use a disinfected tool, HE PUSHED MY CUTICLES DOWN WITH HIS OWN NAIL. Go ahead, vomit now. It gets better...after correcting him, he not only continued to push, but to the point where he made my middle finger nail bed, on my left hand, BLEED. I am now scheduled to see my doctor for a tetanus shot, first thing Monday morning. Stay away from this place...unless you want a bloodied, swollen, INFECTED nail area, like presently have. If I could give zero stars I would. I work in the beauty business, hairstylist so I know how to deal with clients. As son as you walk in they're like what do you want done, I could barely say what I wanted as the rude owner runs up and grabs your hands...OMG! I have them a few tries but gave up when I had acrylic and the girl was slipping a card under it to rip it off and my nail started bleeding. There is also a parrot in there that I feel super sorry for, I believe it's the owners. That bird is there from open to close and should not be breathing in nail polish, acrylic fumes and dust! My first time here. I made an appointment for two at 2:00 p.m. We were seated at 2:20. No explanation. No eye contact, really. We were not offered a drink or a menu of services. I had to ask for a menu of services and the representative acted a bit confused that I asked. Two people that walked in after us got seated first and the only reason appeared to be the woman before us was rude and demanding. The place appeared a bit chaotic. My husband sat soaking in water, The tech walked up to get started then walked away for 5 minutes. I came up to the area to visit my son at college. I walked in and had a pedi and asked for dip on my fingers. The pedi I have to say was probably the worst pedi I have ever received. The nails were not cut evenly, the filing of the feet left skin peeling along the sides. I have never had skin peeling on my feet from a basic pedi. I would never go back here again. read more

This is my go to nail salon. They are friendly, clean and do a wonderful job. They offer many colors and brands of nail polish to chose from. Even on the busiest of days the staff does a great job of getting clients in and out in a timely manner. They also use plastic lines for their pedicure tubs which is a huge cleanliness plus. Currently experiencing the worst pedicure ever with the most unpleasant woman. She lazily chose to drilled off my gel polish on my toenails, cut me with the drill, offered no apology as my toe bled along the cuticle and she continued her sloppy work... When I politely requested she use more care, she began to argue with me and dismissed me saying "I know, I know" ... This experience is just bad.
