We had the BEST time on the double decker pontoon boat for Mother's Day. The boat was spotless and seemed brand new. Even had a restroom on it which was a lovely surprise. Small bar sink to use as well with some countertop space which was nice. Captain Brian was AWESOME. He was professional, friendly, helpful and accommodating. We will definitely be doing this again and requesting Captain Brian. The teens in our group used the slide and the boat was comfortable and spacious. Great service and a very fun time! My friend recommended this company, so I decided to check out their site. Booking was super easy and straightforward. I reserved the double-deck boat for my brother's birthday, and everything went amazing. As soon as we arrived, someone was there to guide us to the dock where we met our captain. Captain Rob was incredible, he texted us beforehand with clear instructions on where to go and what to expect, which made everything stress-free. They have a few different duffy boats. One is really nice and new looking. It has a much more luxious look with the carmel leather interior. The other duffy boats are a bit old and tired looking. I considered other Duffy boat rental places and ultimately chose OC boat rentals because they had the really nice new duffy boat. I was willing to pay more for it. So I booked it. On my booking i nvoice it even shows the beautfiul new duffy that they show on their site. When we got to the boat place.... they gave us one of the old and tired looking boats. I was really upset. I paid more and went with this commpany because of the beautiful duffy they advertised! It felt like a bait and switch. Then when it came to driving the boat.....Our duffy boat was in full throttle almost the whole trip and we were definately the slowest boat out there. All the other duffy boats were passing us. We drove 2 hours and it was father's day so we went on the boat. It was a beautiful sunny day to be on the water so that was nice. I wouldn't rent from this company again. read more

We could not be more than happy and thankful to Captain Austin. We were greeted by a friendly young lady (I wished I would have written down her name) then introduced to our captain Austin. We proceeded to walk to the and load in the boat. We were shown around, we were told the do's and don'ts. The boat was very well kept and cleaned. Our captain informed us that we could get in the water should we wish to (unfortunately none of us were ready/dressed for it). Spent 2hrs sightseeing and learning about the Newport islands, Harbor, Lido, and Balboa. As a real estate investor, I was amazed by the price points of the massive, custom built homes along the coast. $60M was the entry point for what looked like a 3bdr/2ba shack recently listed. Unbelievable! We saw sea lions, and a pair of dolphins that passed by the boat and simultaneously devoured a beautiful arranged charcuterie board served with an assortment of beers, shelters and Prosecco! I got to experience OC Boat Rentals' Duffy Boats in Tuesday evening 6/10 during a corporate team event. We rented 4 boats for a two-hour guided cruise. I was lucky enough to end up on Steve's boat - he was a fantastic guide. The boat was beautifully set up with charcuterie and beverages for us to enjoy during our cruise. It was outfitted to be able to be fully enclosed or open to accommodate the weather/temperature. Everyone was very comfortable. Our captain, Steve was full of fun little facts about Newport Beach, Newport Harbor, the local flavors & residents and Orange County in general. His diverse background and kind demeanor meant he easily connected with everyone on the cruise. The occupants of the other boats also reported very personable captains on their boats. Fantastic fun day. Andy met us at the dock, gave us a tour of the boat, controls and a few suggested routes around the water ways. We brought a picnic and had a wonderful time eating and bobbing around on the water. We had an amazing time with OC boat rentals. The boat was perfect for celebrating a 70th birthday. Cursing the harbor was amazing! But real highlight was anchoring and taking full advantage of the slide! Captain Steve was a lot of fun and made sure that everyone was having fun. Five stars for this company and the experience we had on the double decker pontoon! I've rented Duffy boats from a number of different companies in Newport harbor. This was our first time with a pontoon in Newport and it exceeded any expectations I had! My MIL rented the pontoon for our fam and some close friends to go for a post-Christmas cruise and we all had the absolute best time. As I mentioned, we had the double decker pontoon and I loved the amount of room we had to move around and also all of the amenities that it had to offer. The fire table was absolutely perfect and the 2nd story was the perfect space to break away from the main group. The bathroom came in handy and I can't wait to book this boat in the summertime so I can utilize the slide that it has! Our captain, Steve, was a great addition to our trip as well. It was awesome to have a driver which allowed us to all sit back and enjoy each other's company. He also just had the best stories to share and we loved hearing all the fun facts about the houses on the harbor. One last thing that I can't forget to mention is the awesome karaoke setup they had! Very spacious double pontoon, beautiful and smooth sailing all day along the harbor.
