Hank and his team was so kind!…read more I had a request to install an under-the-sink water filter system and install electrical plugs in my bathrooms. He was very responsive and easy to work with. Unsurprisingly, his work quality was amazing. I will definitely be looking to Hank again if there's any future home projects.

The Good: Hank is a good guy and he works hard. Does a good job on things within his capacity…read more The Bad: He is NOT well versed in Tesla Wall Chargers. He can install it onto the wall but made wrong assessment s of the gauge of the wiring when all he needed to do was turn the dial to adjust the mode. He doesn't like to read the instructions even on items that he doesn't fully comprehend. Therefore, I would avoid using him on the electrical side. The Ugly: Hank is impulsive. I understood he is an older gentleman and it's hot in the garage but he kept dropping profanity like skittles even when the kids are closer by. Additionally he acts before he thinks. He ripped open the Tesla Wall Charger box before he even agreed to install it so return became impossible. Then he proceeded to "renegotiate" the cost of install because he had installed one earlier but took it off deeming the charger and wiring to not work when it was his lack of knowledge to change the settings. He kept flipping between getting paid by the job and getting paid by the effort spent. I ended up paying him for the lift that was complete at his "job minimum," which was higher than his original and renegotiated quote for that job, but did not pay for the rest of the job not done. This was not a pleasant experience. Bottomline, Hank installed the storage lift well so I was pretty happy with that. He is a good installer and a good man who seems to have a lot going on. However, the constant renegotiation, miscommunication, attitude, and lack of expertise made this a rough experience. Overall 2/5 for effort, but I would not recommend his services.

Bill is a true craftsman! I've had a wood gate that has needed rebuilding for the last 8 years…read more Pieces of the wood gate were rotting. Over the years, I've had other handymen pass on the project. I had a handyman who was able to fill the rotted areas with wood filler, sand it, and restain it. I've even had a gate company tell me that they could not save the gate; it would need to be completely replaced. Bill was able to cut out the rotted pieces of wood, replace them, and restain the whole gate (he also repainted the decorative hardware on the door as well). Moreover, he discussed the project with a buddy of his and they determined that the gate was sitting over a muddy part of landscaping which is probably what facilitated the deterioration of the wood. We found some leftover pavers in our storage shed and Bill extended the pavers so the gate would sit over pavers instead of mud. Before he embarked on the wood gate repair, Bill also installed a valance/shade over a window. He made the necessary calculations to ensure that the valance/shade would be centered on the wall and window. He also made sure that the valence was leveled. Bill is honest, meticulous and detail-oriented. If you want someone to treat your project and your home, like it's his own, I would give Bill a call.

Bill is outstanding…read more Bill is absolutely the best for woodworking and detailing custom projects with wood. Bill took time on a Saturday to talk to me about issues I was having a bathroom issue. Even though he does do that work he took 30 minutes to educate me and save big $ with another contractor. Thank you Bill

He installed a beautiful barn door, completed several miscellaneous small electrical projects, and even hung a few pictures with great attention to detail. He texted me to call him, so I did, but didn't reach him. The next day I didn't hear from him until much later, and by then, I'd booked someone else. When he texted me, I let him know that I'd chosen someone else. He apologized for being slow to respond and being abrupt in his texts (they were testy) and asked if we could start over. I told him it wasn't an issue, but I'd truly booked someone else. Then he started complaining that he was getting attacked by AI and it was a crime, and it was hard to know if potential clients were real. I said I was real, and he must not have have put my voicemail and my email together. Then he asked me again for my name and city so that he could put it together. At this point, it was getting ridiculous, but I complied, I was trying to help the guy out, and get off his list. Then he starts cussing at me. I blocked him. What a jerk. I'm telling you, I was never anything but kind and helpful to him, the only thing I did "wrong" was ask him for a custom quote (which he never gave me, because he clearly still had no idea what work I'd asked him to do - he only gave me his 3 hour minimum shtick) and later had the courtesy to tell him that I'd hired someone else. Instead of blowing him off. I was nice, and he is throwing four letter words at me. I would find someone else who is more trustworthy, reliable, knows the difference between a computer and a real person, and knows how to treat potential clients. How will he treat you inside your own home??
