I come here often because it's close to work, the service up and cleanliness of the store is great but for goodwill these prices are fairly high! Even compared to other goodwills. I mean there are certain things I can find new for very similar prices. I understand it's a "boutique" but let's be real, it's not truly more unique than other goodwill locations in Orange County. For example the Costa Mesa location where I find WAY for quality items has standard dress prices for $11.49 this one is 14.49. I forget what the Fullerton price standard is but again I notice I leave feeling like I found great prices for great finds. $3 is not a big deal but if you thrift as much as I do it does add up and based on principle is just kind of annoying. That being said I have found some cool items there but it's just definitely not my favorite store. read more

I fully support shopping second hand as a means to help the environment and reduce waste. However, its extremely unacceptable for a store to sell a cracked, warped, and unusable product. There was a salvaged sticker on it, but I made sure to ask what that meant. The cashier reassured me the product was fine, it was just a way to describe the condition of the packaging. I come home and the product is cracked. Not a small crack to where its still usable, but a deep, long, if I touch this or try to screw into it it will definitely break, crack. On multiple pieces, bit just one. Not cool. I'll have to open the box before purchasing next time. read more

It feels like this place is a wonderful secret...Which always leaves me conflicted whether or not to review a place, haha. Boos: 1) Pretty overpriced for some items (items not organized by price, you have to go by the price on the tag) 2) I know it's supposed to be a classy atmosphere but the dim lighting is TERRIBLE! Is this done on purpose to make me buy more clothing since I can't see them well enough to inspect for imperfections?? Maybe the horrible lighting will sucker me into making a bad purchase? 3) If you don't know where it is located, finding this location is a p-a-i-n!!! We went around and around searching for this place! It's in that shopping plaza with a grocery market nearby. Take not that it says OC Boutique and "Good Will" is actually in tiny letters. Yays: 1) There is some really great quality clothing here and a nice selection of clothing. It didn't feel like I was browsing old, used clothing. Which is probably why some of the stuff seems more expensive. 2) The layout of the store is wonderful, with long racks to peruse and a classy boutique look to it rather than a Good Will. This Goodwill is the most overpriced Goodwill I have ever shopped at. With that being said I purchase several items and asked if I could return them. I was told I can return them within 7 days so I did not bother trying on a pair of pants that I purchased as I was short for time. I came to return that item and I was told I cannot return clothing items. I asked to speak to a manager and I told her the situation and what I had been told to me. She would not honor the incoorect information I had been given and would not allow for a refund. I asked her if she valued customer service she said she did, but still could not give me a refund as a result. I am no longer shopping at this Goodwill, I'm no longer donating to this Goodwill and I no longer May shop at any Goodwill whatsoever again. Yesterday I must have did 8 Goodwill hauls each ride the car was filled to capacity of items to donate. Not one time did any of the guys at the donation drop off in back help me unload my car. It was 100 degrees out much needed help would have been appreciated, but not even an offer was given. However, they did offer unsolicited advise to stay hydrated, while they watched from the warehouse which by the way is air conditioned, or barked out "ma'am we don't accept that here" (baby bath & an animal carrier) and best one yet the comments of how many times I have been there yesterday. I was over it, I wasn't expecting them to fully unload everything, but a little help would have been nice. I don't think I needed to ask either, it's common courtesy but as long as they were nice in cool in warehouse that's all that matters. Stay cool my friends, I'll donate elsewhere read more

Very similar to a "regular" Goodwill in that the racks are super packed with clothes & the back of the stores has a bunch of different household style items. It's pretty hard to get through aisles, as this location is typically pretty full of people, & prices aren't necessarily thrift shop worthy. But I always end up finding something to bring home- wether it's a new shirt or a mini waffle maker. Will say, the kids/babies clothes are always priced amazingly. Worth the trip. read more

Nonprofit my a--. They sell stuff that Target donates for the same price or MORE than the Target clearance stickers (they'll use marker to try to black it out). This "boutique" is trying really hard to overcharge for donated items. I'd much rather go to Salvation Army if I'm looking to thrift shop. Who in their right mind is pricing the items here??? I saw a Chico's polyester blouse for $19.00. I saw a no name summer dress that you could buy brand new at Ross for $12.99, & it was priced $15.00 here. I saw things like Gap jeans and jackets priced $25.00. I saw used shoes from Forever 21 priced at what you would pay for the item brand new at Forever 21. Come on, how greedy can a"charity" get anyway? I hope the bigwigs at a Goodwill read this review because this "non profit charity" is utterly out of control. I know the CEO of the OC Goodwill pulls in over $250,000 a year. This is data from 2008, the only data I could find on the Internet. How in good conscience can you price items that you have received for FREE at this absurd level? This is my LAST trip to this so called "non profit" thrift store. Why not drop the pretense Goodwill and call a spade a spade. There is NO WAY IN HELL that Goodwill is a "non profit" organization, yet this vile organization enjoys a tax free status with the government, meaning this place does not pay the government taxes like all other for profit businesses have to do. Please, do not support this bunch of greedy shysters. Do not shop here. Do NOT donate here. Donate your used goods to the Salvation Army or to St. Vincent de Paul, or any one of the many Veteran's charities. Can you tell that I am furious? One more thing. This place is much pricier than a regular Goodwill but MUCH better apparently they have people who rummage though all the good will stuff and literally save all the best stuff for this location. No hunting, no rummaging. All this stuff looks brand new. While you might take a few minutes at the average Goodwill and not find anything every single article of clothing at this particular location is a Homerun if not a Grandslam. Be prepared to load up on wardrobe and come away with WAY more stuff than you expected. I officially name this THE best Goodwill in all of Southern California and pretty much the best one I have ever been to. read more

I didn't even realize that this place existed until my brother mentioned it to me. It's hidden in the back of mundane shopping center but once you enter you'll discover the nicest Goodwill you've ever been to. In my opinion there's more stuff for women than men, however, there is still a lot for men too, including ties. This place is overpriced and not a good variety of stuff. They were selling unbranded button down shirts for men for $20. You can get a new and nicer shirt at H&M for about the same price. I looked through the women's shoes and most, if not all, were damaged. My main problem with this place was the staff.... OMG. I know that Goodwill isn't like a real retail store since they are non-profit but the staff: SO UNPROFESSIONAL. This is my first negative Yelp review. I wouldn't take the time to post such a negative review but this place just bore a hole through my brain. Let me start by saying there's this old lady who I think is their sales lead. She mans the cashier and does announcements on the speaker system. I went there and was browsing the home goods section and I could hear awful, loud singing. This lady was going around on the floor SINGING ON TOP OF HER LUNGS. More like, warbling.. She seriously sounded like a dying goat. I wouldn't expect any sane customer to sing on the top of her lungs while shopping--- what more their head/manager? It was so bizarre. I couldn't even understand what the hell she was singing. It was just terrible!! I didn't find anything interesting in this store so on my way out, I heard another horrible sound. Somebody was retching... making loud vomiting sounds. I turned around and saw one of their staff, making that sound as a joke. She was talking so loud to her co-workers, I think about something really gross and she kept repeating the sound over and over and over. She probably did the gross vomiting sound ten times until I left... I am so appalled at these people's unprofessional conduct. These people should not be hired! There are far more deserving people out there who can do a better job and act like human beings WITH MANNERS! Will never go back. read more

I saw a couple of paintings that i really liked. They were hanging in the wall and they had a price on them, but I couldn't see the price clearly. The cashier couldn't tell me what the price on them was and she suggested i take a picture with my phone to zoom in on the price. It was too blurry. I was told by another employee that she would get a ladder and bring them down for me. I waited. No such luck. I finally left (i had to pick up my daughter at school). Since it is about a 20 minute drive back, i figured i call to check and see if they had brought them down for me as i drove back to the shop. Well, i was put on hold for 20 minutes. I was literally parking when they finally decided to take my call. The employee told me the price. I told her i would take them and to hold them for me as i was parking. She said "okay." I walked in to the store to pay for them and was told that they needed a ladder to bring them down and they couldn't do it at the time. They promised to call me to let me know when i could pick them up... I'm still waiting for that call. So yeah, bad service. I probably would have understood had the store been busy, but it was not busy enough to ignore a customer. read more

This is definitely a nice concept, but the execution was a bit...meh. I think it's a wonderful idea to gather up some of the nicer/newer clothing donation and put them all in a nicer, cleaner Goodwill. The problem is they went way too far with the prices. It is nice that they have 50% off sales on certain tag colors, but some of their stuff is priced way too high; for example, I saw a specific blazer there from a brand I know that I considered buying before. Buying it new would cost around $20 or so, but it was priced at over $40 here, it was ridiculous. Same for things that are Target/Walmart/whatever brand names that cost way more than they originally would have. I will say that I've managed to find a few good things that were well priced, but as a whole, they charge too much. I also wish, above all else, that they would organize by size. I know organizing by color may be easier and it has a certain visual appeal but I simply don't have the time or patience to dig through absolutely everything on a rack to find something. It also leads to things getting knocked off hangers and twisted up as people search for the size tag. The size indicators that go onto clothing racks can't be too expensive and it would make the shopping process infinitely easier. There have been times I've found awesome stuff here for somewhat decent prices, so this place is definitely worth a visit, I just wish they would fix a few key things. read more

This place definitely has a cute boutique feel that will help cater to OC residents. Imagine a buffalo exchange/crossroads type of store, but without the hipster price tag. I applaud Goodwill for trying to market to the masses, but if only the prices were lower. Albeit, proceeds do go to a charitable cause, I'd feel silly paying for a used item that is the same price for a new item at Forever 21. How am I supposed to bump Macklemore's song if it wasn't 99 cents? Clothing is organized by type and color. Shoes and home goods are located in the back. I don't know if you'll find very many unique pieces here, but maybe I didn't look hard enough. It's located in a weird plaza, so I'm not sure how much traffic they are going to get. I love goodwill but the employee are over the top. I went in today with my son in a stroller and all the ladies kept falling me around. If they thought I was stealing then they should just ask to check my stuff. I would of happily let them.They don't have to harass. The whole time I was there the "manager" (Thursday evening) kept following me telling me to not drop clothes. Mind you most of the clothes is already dangling on off the hanger. I hate thrift store because I think they are filthy. This place completely proved me wrong! Tips below because the place can get a little overwhelming. Tip #1 - Before you walk into the store, tell yourself what you are looking for. I choose 1-2 so that I dont get overwhelmed at looking at everything at the shop. In my case, one day I am only look for work tops. On another day I am only looking for work pants. Tip #2 - Only look at items that are on sale for the week. Each color tag goes on sale at 50% every week. Nice work top and pants (usually the only thing I look for) can range from $3 to $13 but if your tag is blue and the color of the week is blue, you'll get 50% off on top of that. Tip#3 - I have to say, 89% of the clothes there are super nice and clean. I always look for items that still has the "original store tags" on there. Some people buy clothes and never where them and donate them to goodwill. Lucky for me, I've scored a quite a few brand new Express and JCrew tops and pants for work! Killer deals! Great quality! This boutique has a large selection pertaining to clothes and other home items. It's usually neat in here and well put together. Whenever their door is open, you can already smell the store scent. If you walk in, you'll be hit by heavy store scent. When you leave you will smell like the store scent. I have no idea what it is but this store has a seriously strong scent!! It's not bad smelling but it isn't good either lol... Weird! I got a Marc Jacobs makeup bag from here for $5 and it looks way more expensive, score for me :) read more

I really wanted to give the store more stars because I love going there and the good causes they support, but due to their high prices I just can't. Some of the items they receive from Target or other retail stores that are salvage or clearance are almost the exact same price or more sometimes as you would find in store. I've been to a lot of goodwills, and heard about this one a while ago. I happened to be in the area and stopped by. The layout is very nice and organized. As other reviewers have mentioned some prices were very high but others were great deals. You just have to dig around, I had extra time and checked out every department. I bought two boys shoes, a nike sweater, burberry shirt (!), and Victoria's secret tshirt (half off). I was so thrilled to find an authentic Burberry shirt retails $95+ and I got it for $8.99, and it looks new! Glad I came in, will be back whenever I am in the area. Note: the shopping carts do not have a seat for small children. I was upset that they would not accommodate for mothers. As a bargain queen & shopaholic, I can without a doubt tell you this is my fav thrift store EVER!!!! Dont come here expecting to find what you want every single time. The color of the day deal will always be a bust. But the rare finds are what really get me! I came here the weekend before Halloween to get decorations for a party and left with 2 carts full of Halloween goodies for $55! I'm talking dishes, goody bags, lights, all kinds of decorations and even some real neat big light up figurines of a witch and pumpkin marked $39.99 each from mervyns. I paid $3 each for those. Steal!!!! Most times I go, I say no to all the things I want. This location has tons and tons of overpriced stuff. And it's not even the right over priced stuff. I went tonight and a pair of faux leather boots from h&m were marked $19.99 (say what???) however expensive miu miu flats in size six were $9.99. I'm confused. But does it matter to argue when those awesome finds slip through the cracks??! Today I left with a replica Gucci diaper bag that's brand new, some Sam & Libby wedges and a pair of nikes for $13.50. I'm sold!!! For my thrift store mamas: come with low expectations and be pleasantly surprised. Store is organized by type of clothing and color, not sizes. It's still convenient though. There's less clothing for men, sorry guys. Reminded me of a buffalo exchange with goodwill prices. I was able to find a pair of super cute tie-dye, coachella-esque levi shorts for $6, and my brother found some naturalizer leather boat shoes in almost new condition for only $9! Hopefully they don't up the prices once this place gets more attention. It's still fairly new, opened a few weeks ago. Decor and layout is great, kinda urban/hipster. The staff is funny and friendly.
