We came here to try it and enjoyed the food. They had a table ready for us and the spot is pretty big. Our waitress gave us menus and took our drink order which came in these really cool cups. We ordered food, which we really didn't wait that long for. I had the Philly cheese cake with fries. We also ordered lobster rolls and sliders for the children. Everything was freshly made and was plated nicely. Everything was really good and everyone ate their meal. The bathroom was clean and the price was right. I stopped in today and got the spicy lobster roll, chowder, and a mango/lemonade slush drink. All three were very good and I would go back to this place for the drink alone. My fiancé and I are big seafood lovers. So, when we heard a brand new seafood place opened right on a boardwalk just a few weeks before we were set to come to Ocean City we were pretty excited. This is quite frankly one of the biggest disappointments we both have experienced as foodies. Let's begin with the appetizers. We ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp and some calamari. There were 3 others in our party, friends of my fiancés, that came to meet us here. We shared all the apps and the consensus around the entire table was that they were both pretty bad. They were so over-breaded that you couldn't not taste the seafood at all. It tasted like fried bread crumbs and whatever sauce you dipped them in. I've had better seafood bites from a frozen bag at the grocery story. Before we arrived (around 2pm) my fiancé already decided on getting one of their seafood boils. I was excited to try one of their countless lobster rolls on the menu. When it came time to order, my fiancé tried to order a boil but the waitress said they didn't think they had any. We were kind of confused as this seemed to be one of their primary dishes. The waitress then walked over to the kitchen counter and appeared to be almost be arguing with one of the chefs who just kept yelling "No Boil! Bo Boil!". For a brand new restaurant to already not have one of their signature items and then have the chefs/servers argue about it is wild. My fiancé then ordered a lobster roll as well. Four of us at the table ordered lobster rolls and one ordered sushi. Not a single one of us liked our lobster roll. I got the truffle lobster roll. There was a flavor of truffle but it was dry without the sauce it was supposed to come with and the lobster itself was chewy. Everyone at the table had the same comments about their rolls. Dry and overcooked. I think what truly is the biggest nail in the coffin for this place is their use of AI for all of their advertising. Extremely appalling. What's terrible is that their main logo is clearly the same AI but it was one iteration that was normal. Some of the pictures of the food are also AI generated. I have included pictures of the atrocious AI adverts. The more you look at it, the worse it gets. I don't think I've ever actively encouraged people to avoid a restaurant, but I guess there is a first time for everything. It's one thing if the food was good and they cut some corners with the decor/advertisements, but the food is bland, unappealing, and not delicious. Don't support this place. Do yourself a favor and take 20 minutes to drive to The Crab Trap up in Somers Point. You'll be in true seafood heaven there. read more

OC Lobster Pot is a convenient Boardwalk stop, but not a destination. We stopped into OC Lobster Pot on the Ocean City boardwalk shortly after arriving in town, looking for a quick seafood fix. We ordered the Connecticut-style lobster roll with fries and we also tried the Lobster Pot Salad. The food was fine, satisfying in the way you want after a road trip, but nothing that would impress anyone familiar with real New England seafood. The lobster roll wasn't toasted, and while the lobster itself was fresh enough, it didn't have that richness or clarity of flavor you'd expect from a Maine roll. The salad was serviceable, and overall the meal did its job, but it won't be a core memory. The atmosphere was casual and family-friendly, with a relaxed, friendly crowd. It fits the boardwalk energy: tourist-driven, low-key, and easygoing. Service was warm and polite, but not especially dialed in. We had to wait to get a fork for the salad, and drink refills took some time, even though the space wasn't packed. We went with our oldest kid, and for a quick, no-research meal at the start of a beach weekend, it worked. But it's not the kind of place I'd go out of my way for, and probably not one I'd return to. If you live far from the ocean or just want a basic boardwalk lobster roll with no expectations, this place will hit the spot. If you've had the real thing up north, adjust accordingly. read more

I am so confused by the number of negative reviews here. We ate here twice during a recent visit to OC - once for dinner, once for brunch. Between our party of 7, we tried a little of everything across both menus: lobster rolls, sushi, seafood boils, and omelets & other breakfast food. I was a little skeptical of a place that serves both sushi and seafood boil because they are quite different cuisines, but all of the food was fantastic. Waitstaff was a little green despite it being late in the season, but they were pleasant enough that it wasn't an issue. A quick preview to our experience: Mother-in-Law before lunch: "It'll be so nice to try something different on the boardwalk." Mother-in-Law after lunch: "What a disappointment that was." So if you choose to keep reading- this place is a dud. Our group was so excited to try a new restaurant (we frequent the OC boardwalk more than most) that had lots of options from a long list of lobster rolls, to sushi, breakfast, fun beverages, etc. They even said our picky eater of the group (he's 5) could bring in pizza from elsewhere. While we appreciated this, we should have known that it was a red flag. My husband and I were especially excited to try both the lobster roll(s) and sushi rolls. We arrived slight before noon. We were told that sushi wasn't available until noon....which, ok, fine. We are happy to wait. But then when we asked can we order the sushi and bring it out when it's ready after noon, they followed up saying that it now will not be ready until 12:30. That is a cop out if I've ever heard of one. Have a disclaimer on your menu if you do not plan on serving a lunch item AT LUNCH TIME. So my husband decides to get the salmon tartare instead. Also, no can do because raw fish....even though it's on the appetizer menu, and not the sushi menu. He ended up with sad order of fries which were less than average and served with what seemed like a tarter sauce of sorts? It wasn't a bad combo, it's just not what you'd expect with fries. I ordered a traditional lobster roll. All of the lobster rolls on the menu are a flat $25. I wanted to try one that had extra toppings to get the most out of the price, but I also wanted to try a classic to see how it compares to others. That was a mistake- not only is the roll incredibly small and not worth the cost, it additionally was not that great in flavor. Though, anger may have just been overpowering all at this point. My father-in-law ordered the lobster bisque which was surprisingly (in a good way) packed with lobster meat, but he said the flavor was just ok. The rest of group ordered a variety of fried items, all of which were also just ok. Literally, nothing to write home about. The different lemonade options were fun, but not enough to make the establishment worthy of 5 stars. Speaking of 5 stars: they have posted all over the tables "if you leave a 5 star review we will give you a free dessert." Now if that's not telling about the restaurant, I don't know what is. Of course there will be people dying to get an OC priced free dessert in exchange for giving a great review to a just ok restaurant. Count me out. That left an even more sour taste in my mouth on top of everything else. I guess it's no surprise that I'm really digging into this place right now. The restaurant itself is nice, it's roomy, it's clean...they have baby friendly bathrooms. But unfortunately, a restaurant is not worth going to if the entire experience feels like a facade. Go literally anywhere else on the boardwalk for better food. And for the lobster roll lovers: go to Quincy's Original Lobster Rolls. This place is delicious for the same exact price and almost 3X more lobster meat. read more

We ordered pick up online through their website. The wait time was decent at 30ish minutes. we arrived at the pickup window within the time range provided. When we went up to the counter and said that we placed a pickup order and gave them the name it was under, the man at the cash register went to look for our order. He seemed very confused when he didn't see anything at their counter waiting to be picked up. I clearly saw him look at a receipt that was their "done pile", all crumbled up. So they clearly never made our order. Not once did any of the 5 people standing at the counter say anything about the order. We stood there for 15+ mins just waiting until finally someone brought over a paper back containing our order, which surprisingly was actually correct as I double checked it before leaving. Once again, they never said anything about misplacing or forgetting about our order. No discount, no apology, no nothing. The disappointment didn't end there!!! When we returned home and opened up everything, the Thai Calamari we ordered was also obviously rushed, as there was no sauce within the calamari in the takeout box, just a small side cup of Thai chili sauce. The size of this appetizer was also a disappointment for $18. There website should be considered fraudulent because the proportion difference was egregious. But wait, there's more...I ordered the South Lobster roll and my girlfriend order the Truffle Lobster Roll. Once again, the order was rushed, there was hardly any chipotle sauce on mine and hardly any truffle oil/butter on hers. The only positive was the size of the lobster rolls themselves. But with our total bill of $73...a huge disappointment and waste of time and money. Be better! read more

New to the boardwalk this year, so had to give it a try. On a hot day, an indoor restaurant on the boardwalk with plenty of space is a welcome sight. This place combines so many interesting things on their menu. Service was quick and friendly. We got the coconut shrimp and an assorted fish fry basket. The kids got Mac and cheese and mozzarella sticks. Biggest disappointment was that my kids saw they have those robot servers and they weren't being used! Wishing this place luck! Don't come and eat here- the service was painfully slow, we came before the dinner rush and they were fully staff yet/ it took forever to get our food. Keep in mind that half our order was sushi so it didn't need to be cooked!! The employees were eating in the dining room and or milling around. I do love their lobster roll if you order from the window but in the restaurant is awful. We also ordered take away from them and we had to get a refund because half the order was missing. It's a shame because it's so cute inside and I know they are a new restaurant but we came here 3x in a month and each time they got something wrong. For starters, the service was lowkenuinely horrible. I asked for the literal "Lobster Pot" meal, the name of the restaurant. However, they gave me everything that came with it except for the lobster. I couldn't even manage to receive any butter despite my best efforts. I feel like at this point the waitress was just ignoring me. Aww shucks. My lemonade cost nine dollars (are we serious). My friend's bib broke and it kirkenuinely took a while to get another one. My friend also has a shellfish allergy. We told the server but I think the information went in one ear and out the other. Sorry... we SO wanted to enjoy this new spot on the boardwalk... really looking forward to trying the breakfast offerings this morning after perusing the menu last evening. Clearly states breakfast is served starting at 8:30am. Waited patiently as 8:30, 8:45, 9:00 came and went. Never even attempting to acknowledge myself and others standing there at the full glass entrance, I went over to the counter, which had just opened (you can see staff inside just sitting at tables on their phones) the young man at the counter said they "should" be opening in another five or so minutes (this is now 9:20, mind you). Sorry - you lost us. Just a recommendation to a newer restaurant - if you say you're opening at 8:30 for breakfast, I suggest someone come in EARLIER to prep such that you can actually OPEN for business at 8:30! I get that a spot on the boards might be a little bit "casual" in this regard, and we hung in until well after 9:00... but an hour late is simply not acceptable by anyone's standards. I keep my expectations low for any OC boardwalk restaurant, and Lobster Pot certainly did not exceed my expectations. Ambiance and service were nice, and you can tell that a lot was invested to upgrade the former restaurant space. That said, everything was overpriced. For example, the Thai calamari appetizer was $18 and came with 14 (!) quarter-sized hoops of average fried squid. My son had to refrain from eating the entire serving in one handful. The sushi rolls are a slightly better value, but you are paying for the location and convenience. To summarize: you are overpaying for average food. read more

Arrived about 11:30 Sunday Sept 21. Empty. stood and watched Hostess scrolling on her phone and had to interrupt her to seat us. Waiter was friendly, food decent, orders came out different times. Men's room disgusting. Trash was overflowing, no toilet paper, floor dirty. Obviously hadn't been addressed in days. My husband complained and didn't appear anyone did anything, I used rest room and ladies room same gross dirty mess. Makes one wonder about cleanliness of whole place. Went to exit and their side exit locked. Went to tell someone and once again had to interrupt hostess scrolling her phone. Fire hazard locked exit. Asked to talk to manager about all and told no one on duty. I emailed the contact on their website Sunday and never got response. Definitely stay away. My friends and I went to the OC Lobster Pot last night for dinner. Honestly, it wasn't the best experience. The menu was very overpriced for what we were given. My friend ordered a lobster roll, which wasn't the flavor she asked for and was room temperature when she expected it to be cold. It was also very overpriced for its size and did not come with any sides. My other friend got fried calamari and was surprised to see that he was charged for the sauces that are recommended with the entree, and the portion size was very small for its pricing. The restaurant itself was nice looking, and the boba tea looked good, although it was expensive as well and we didn't try it. The best thing we had was the chicken sandwich I got, which was decent but it's a little disappointing that the best thing wasn't seafood in a seafood restaurant. That being said, our waitress was very aware and got us more drinks, brought the food out quickly, and was very friendly. Service was mid at best. We asked if the Italian wedding soup was homemade and they informed us it was canned. I ordered the 26.00 lobster salad. There was less than 2 bites of lobster on my salad. I am not exaggerating, not even a claw full of lobster. They get you with the gimmicky cups and charge a fortune for unsweetened tea. I have no desire to ever go back.
