We booked the dinner about a month in advance, and Giuseppe was incredibly helpful and accommodating from the very beginning, making the planning process easy and stress-free. When we arrived, he and his staff went above and beyond, helping us set up our tables and birthday decorations. The service was warm, attentive, and genuinely kind throughout the evening. We brought an ice cream cake, and they happily kept it in the freezer until the perfect moment. They timed everything beautifully, then cut and served the cake for all of our guests without us having to worry about a thing. The entire staff made our celebration feel so special. We ordered our meals which were very good. The grilled chicken wrap was so good. Not to much dressing and server on a fresh wrap. I ordered the fries with cheese and old bay seasoning. Honestly mediocre. Our server didn't introduce himself, otherwise I'd say his name. He didn't ask if we wanted refills and didn't ask us how our food was. The seating was fine, we had to wait about 15 minutes to be sat. The food was also mediocre. I ordered the stuffed Flounder it came out cold, dry, and flavorless. My friend ordered the Chicken-pot-pie which she said didn't have chicken in it and the mashed potatoes were bland. My other friends ordered the calamari which was also flavorless. We went with the fries, children's Mac and cheese, and the chicken quesadilla. The Mac and cheese was $7 and it looked nice when it first arrived. The cheese pull was very delicious and fun to do. However, it was bland. It did not taste like there was any seasonings. I also wished they used a different noodle because the sauce did not stay on the noodles very well. Fries were crispy, crunchy, and soft on the inside. Absolutely fried to perfection. My friend order the chicken quesadilla and loved it. It came with onion, red and green bell peppers, cheese, and chicken. The sauces with some salsa and sour cream. She thought it was cooked nicely and the flavors come together well. There aren't a ton of boardwalk restaurants offering outside seating but this is one of the few so it gets busy quickly. We went for an a early dinner (5:30pm) and waited about 5 minutes though when we left the wait was longer. The outdoor patio is nice as you have the view of the boardwalk and the beach but aren't on the boardwalk. They also are kid-friendly with a good children's menu and plenty of high chairs. After our daughter began eating her dinner of chicken fingers, we decided to order an appetizer of calamari ($12.95) to start. It had good flavor and had the bonus of having pieces of pepper deep fried alongside. I got the lobster crab cake entree which was $26.95. Absolutely delicious - it had a soft texture and was perfectly cooked with a very tasty sauce. My husband got the crabacado sandwich ($15?) which was basically a crab cake with avocado on a roll, served with potato chips. Also very good. Service was attentive and friendly and we left feeling very full. It's not cheap ($70ish) for our meals but what is on the Boardwalk. read more

While looking over the menu a server informed us he wasn't sure when they would open as the cooks hadn't shown up for work yet and they weren't sure what time they would get in. So we walked down the boardwalk a few feet to another breakfast spot. Sunday we wanted a quick meal before hitting the road so we stopped at Clancy's around 10 am. This time the patio was bustling with families and couples enjoying food. We asked to sit inside as my mom is sensitive to heat and it was like we walked into another restaurant. Décor was nice but like a dated Italian restaurant from the 80s and eerily quiet, except for a table of 4 diagonal from us. We decided to stay as we were in a rush to get on the road. Luckily the food is its saving grace. I had the crabby omelet mins the asparagus and mom got 2 pancakes and eggs over easy. Easily one of the best omelets I've ever had with lump crab meat and feta cheese. Service was fine and prompt, we only saw one woman working inside but there were only about 4 other tables sitting inside all together. I'd hit the patio if they open on time as it's nicer/more airy. They need to spruce up the interior or play some music, something so its not so eerie. read more

Disappointed by no early bird specials any more this season due to covid. This place must be hurting as the outdoor tables are only a fraction of what the indoor size looks like. Neither come with fries only that tiny bag of chips which is always annoying when you pay $16 for a sandwich and still need to order fries a la carte. Clancy's is a nice little place on the boardwalk that features boardwalk and indoor seating. We sat inside, and the ceiling fans do just the right amount to keep you cool. We went for breakfast and ordered eggs, pancakes, bacon, potatoes, toast, and a breakfast burrito. Everything was prepared very nicely, had good flavor - and overall was very good. The coffee was very good, too. The service was everything you'd hope for - and the staff was friendly. We decided to eat here on our way back from walking the Boards, and we were all glad that we did. My Mom, sister, and I were very happy with our order. I had the Fisherman's Treat and at the whole thing. The seafood was delicious, and I really enjoyed the white sauce. My sister enjoyed her Lobster cake, rice and string beans. My Mom really enjoyed her Clancy's Chowder and her salad with fruit and walnuts. We also liked the calamari including the sauce that came with it for dipping. Every staff we had contact with was super friendly and very attentive. Our waitress was awesome. Stopped in to get real food on real plates delivered to the table. It was delicious! We had the seafood chowder, full of fresh fish, a perfectly done burger medium rare, sweet potato and regular fries, chicken fingers which my granddaughter declared the best she ever ate and mozzarella sticks. Service was awesome.. kudos to the team who manufactured a special cinnamon butter for my daughter.. We enjoyed it so much we returned the next day with more family. More burgers and chicken, but added a quesadilla, the chowder again and the fish tacos and no one left an empty plate. Only suggestion is to offer mustard, salt and pepper, maybe have some horseradish on hand for the burgers.. Lots more on the menu to try, and we will definitely be back.. read more

Cloudy day, humid not hot, we were lured in by the sound of Sinatra and the breeze. Holy moly!! Staying with ambience, we feel like we are exactly where we should be. Comfortable, welcoming, very attentive service. Smiling people. One of the servers spent 10 minutes looking for an elusive strawberry jam for another table. Fantastic. We ordered our usual: Two eggs over, home fries and toast for my wife; breakfast burrito for me. Starting with the potatoes, 10/10. Crispy outside, hot and delicious inside, pre salted to perfection. Kathy said the coffee was excellent. Eggs perfect. My burrito was as tasty as any I've ever had. The sausage was the right amount and level of smoke. Onions and peppers were CRISP. You could taste everything instead of a conglomerate of mush. Wow. Unexpected and so good. Plus the soundtrack continued to please: Sinatra, Billy Joel, Dean Martin, Stevie Wonder - how did they know? I think we have a new anniversary ritual and a new go-to beach spot. I had the classic eggs Benedict, one daughter had the Maryland crab eggs Benedict and the other had the avocado Toast. Two of us had the fresh fruit cocktail. The food was good. I especially loved the side of potatoes. Mt daughter was a bit disappointed with her crab Benedict cutting it was "too crabby". Not sure if it was a flaw in the meal or a miss in expectations. We opted to sit inside since it was windy, and it was like we stepped foot in a different place. The inside was bare and looked more like a local pizzeria, completely different vibe on the inside then out. After being seated we found out they did not serve alcohol. Instead of being rude, we stayed for an appetizer to hold us over until we found a proper dinner spot. We ordered "fried mozzarella", thinking it would be homemade. Out came mozzarella sticks with mediocre "homemade" sauce that tasted like it was from the jar. I'm glad we didn't order entrees. The place looks appealing from the outside, but wasn't worth the price. All and all, just very blah. I will say, the one host was a gentlemen. Very polite and friendly, wish I had gotten his name. As far as I'm concerned he is the best thing that place has to offer. Without him I would've given 0 stars. He had more care for the patrons then the owner. read more

Woe, a roller coaster. This is hit or miss 100% of the time. Eating in the restaurant is okay. The waiters are nice. Ordered take out: wild. Ordered a Cesar salad and a cheeseburger. The Cesar salad was romaine lettuce chopped up in a to go container. No cheese. No croutons. No toppings...? Horrible. The cheeseburger came with chips. The chips where put in the container with the burger- melting my bag of chips to the hot cheese because someone didn't separate them or put the bun on correctly. Cute spot on the boardwalk. Nothing major to write home about. The server was awesome but the food was ok. I got the fisherman's treat (it had clams, mussels, shrimp, scallops and crabmeat over linguini in a white or red sauce - i chose red) the scallops were cooked perfect and were 5 stars alone, the shrimp was a great large size, mussels and clams were over cooked. My sister got the chicken pot pie. It looked amazing and was a giant potion. There is a hearty mix inside. The only down side was that it was room temperature. While we were hungry we didn't care but you could tell it wasn't cooked all the way through when you got the to the dough at the bottom. Mom had the lobster crab cake which would have been amazing but the cognac sauce was not cooked right. It was as if we had a shot with dinner. My nephew had the kids hot dog and fries. I will say their fries are really good. It's not everywhere that makes them crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside. The best part of the meal - if you get there before 530pm you get a salad and dessert with your meal. (You can pick ice cream or rice pudding for dessert) and the rice pudding is phenomenal.
