Hayley H., our awesome local community manager, was kind enough to score me two tickets to this really fun event. Down on the Balboa peninsula, the focus was on, yes, beer and Balboa. Most of the business tents were from that area and they had lots of beer, mixed in with seltzers, tasty hand foods and killer live music. Parking was actually easy and cheap in the public beach lot and they lucked out with perfect weather. 70 degrees is optimum outdoor drinking weather. They even had a booth offering suntan lotion samples for those exposed spots. Helmsman Alehouse had the best beer. Ashland had the best hard seltzer. Harborside had the best food for their aji nachos. They had jenga and corn hole games, high top tables and picnic benches to keep things spread out and enough shade mixed in to be comfy. For starters I can't think of much better ways to spend a Saturday than tasting beers and seltzers, sampling food from local restaurants, and listening to amazing music all right next to the ocean. All of the vendors were local around the Orange County and LA area, and I feel like I was able to discover so many new beers and seltzers! All of the vendors were so kind and I loved being able to learn more about the story of each of the breweries. The sample sizes were also very generous, which I wasn't expecting especially since it was unlimited tastings! The food was also phenomenal as well. There was a great mix between sweet and savory items. Sanchos tacos were serving out carnitas tacos, and I think I had one of the best fried chicken sandwiches I've ever had from one of the vendors. It was hard to pace ourselves, as we hit a point where we felt we couldn't eat or drink anymore! There were plenty of tables and chairs though, so when we did need a break we could just listen to the band playing. I absolutely loved this event, and am already telling friends and family about it for next year! It was the perfect size in that it was busy, but you spent more time enjoying everything rather than standing in long lines. I'll definitely be back!

Lots of beer bars on the street including vintage shops. Looks very different compared to old downtown Fullerton. We only tried Mamma Mia Italian pasta pizza restaurant. After brunch, we walked around the District. Found 2 popular beer bars, Pete's and Heroes, busy during lunch time. People were drinking beers a lot due to the hot weather. Mixed vintage shops, crepe store, many bars, Mexican restaurant, Italian restaurant, etc. The parking is free for 2 hous right behind the Mamma Mia. And also, parking garage is available across from this restaurant. I am not sure about the parking fee there. If you are beer lover, definitely this Soco district is great place for you.

To which I said, "$10 AND 2 tickets, right?." She responded by saying, "No! $10 is all I'm giving you." So I pointed to the ticket where it clearly said 2 Tickets. She then showed me the print out and said VERY rudely, "do you see what it says? It says $10 and that's all you're getting!" So I took my ticket back and told her, "ok, well then I'm going to take this somewhere else." As my Dad and I were walking to the door she said, "oh my god, you're such a fu*king bit*h." Now I understand the market is going out of business later this month and maybe they no longer care about their customers that have kept them in business for all these years, but I couldn't let this slide without saying something. This cashier had a rotten attitude from the second we walked in the door. I probably could've dealt with that and shrugged it off but being called a f'ing bit*h by her is not only grossly inappropriate, it's extremely offensive and beyond unprofessional. I will never go back in there or give a dime of my money to them again. If i could give them 0 stars, I would.

Prices have gone up for both the tickets and parking so be prepared to pay $15 for parking and $15 to get inside. Services dependent on what vendor you buy your food from some will accommodate the request and others will not. Of course if there's no accommodation to the customer, they've lost my business.

[Food]: Our party ended up getting only 6 pieces of soup dumplings (aka XLB) from Dumpling Dream for $14 and a cup of gelatea from Boutcha for $7.20 (one of the most affordable and best item to get at the market). [Conclusion]: If I ever come back to 626 Night Market, I would probably stick with the Arcadia location as parking is free and the admission fee is slightly cheaper. Luckilly while going thru some paperwork I stumbled across them again. I called up a Yelp bud Lili H to see if she'd like to go. We agreed to meet the the next evening for the festivities. The charity event for Boys & Girls club, Fullerton Arboretum, and other local chatities was held at the beautiful Fullerton Arboetum at CSUF. It was a much larger event than I had imagined having never attended one of the past events. We walked in and were greeted buy a group of folks and were given an odd triangular plate with a hole on one end and a wine glass that was immediatly filled with champagne to toast the start of our evening's foods and fun. Within a few more paces we approached the first of many food vendors but my nose was quickly detoured to another by the smell of BBQ smoke. Big B's BBQ and Carl Strauss Brewing had were my first choice of many great food, and beverage picks. We wandered from food booth to wine stand to another food booth back to the wine stand repeatidly throught the course of the night. And what a night, an awesome full moon lit up the night and bands played music for our dining pleasure. We tasted, Italian, Asian, American, Latin and English fares from dozens of local eateries an and drinking establishments. This was truely a fantastic spread as you could get a slice of lasagne and a quail egg to go with your pinot or a ceveche taco, and some tasty sangria. Want BBQ and a beer? Or maybe take a break with a cigar before having som lobster bisque? More wine you say? Shure why not, the vino was flowing steady all night with a great many red and white varieties.
