Great service. First time in and Kayla offered me a complimentary cinnamon pancake which was delicious. She is amazing. Give her a raise! Pastrami tacos were really good.

Adorable lil restaurant! Service was quick and friendly! Food was great! I think the halloumi toast would have been better with an egg (but I forgot to add it, I would recommend it!). I wish they had umbrellas for the outside table. They did a great job trying to keep customers to line up outside. It was quite loud and crowded when people were waiting inside to order. I would come back!

Was visiting Newport Beach and stopped by littlle Billy's. It had a line out the door and had me intrigued. I sat down and was immediately greeted by Billy himself. He was very friendly and acted as if we were long time friends. You order up at the front counter and then they bring the food to you. We tried a little bit of everything. Their burger which was super simple but really tasty! Their breakfast burrito which was a classic. But the star of the show was the pastrami breakfast tacos I have never had anything like that before. It was so good and I will definitely be back for that! We ended the day with some pancakes which was a nice treat! The area is small but very homey. I will definitely be back! Thanks Billy!

Get here EARLY for a great seat, but no matter what time you go, you know the food will be great. The pancake and the cold brew (their own brew) was our favorite. We didn't originally order any pancakes, but when the owner noticed he brought a complimentary side pancake for us to try. The only down side is the limited seating. You'll have to wait in line, regardless of when you show up. We were sat quickly after a bit of a wait, each dish was sooo good, and we left knowing we'd be back again.

A nostalgic blend of hospitality and elevated diner food. Little Billy's is owned by an actual Billy who had no prior hospitality prior to opening this brunch spot, yet keyed in on the things that matter to discerning foodies: warm vibes, excellent ingredients, and brand connection. One of the first surprising things was that street parking was free (2 hrs every day and unlimited on Sun), which feels like a rare treat in Newport. Hostess Mackenzie had arguably one of the toughest jobs greeting customers as they arrived and keeping them hyped during the wait. And yet, her smile never wavered and she explained that beyond thinking about food, Billy and team thought extensively about the customer experience, which includes being able to park without stressing and genuinely relax. What a mentality! The line you'll probably see outside is just to order, whether you're getting takeout or dining in. Tables are first come first serve after you've placed your order, and the staff do a really nice job of helping clear tables and coordinate your seat even if there's no table immediately available by the time you order. The indoor space is small, with tables all organized for about 2-4 diners each, with additional outdoor sidewalk seating. This allows them to ensure that no one is trying to poach a table and make diners feel attended to during their stay. They're also highly conscious of kids and have high chairs available for tots of all ages as well as a dedicated kid's menu. Single occupancy unisex bathroom available in the narrow hallway to the kitchen and alleyway is available if you've drunk too much coffee or OJ. Okay, everyone mentions that the Billy Cakes are a must - and I'm going to add my voice to that message. These are truly delightful crispy (gluten-free!) pancakes topped with the creamiest butter and streusel mix that you just can't stop eating. The Scramble and Eggs Benedict were also delicious and nutritious, but there was definitely a portion size difference, so make sure you order appropriately depending on how hungry you are. Billy himself makes a point to greet each group either in line or at their table to check in and works fluidly in all aspects of the restaurant to keep the dining experience a pleasant one. You can tell he's bred a loyal following, with diners often buying their aesthetic pullovers and asking about how their planned expansion is going.

I stopped at Little Billy's for a late breakfast/early lunch shortly after arriving in Newport Beach. I had done some research on top eateries in the area before arriving, and LB's seemed to fit the bill. That being said, I was excited to check them out. LB's is located in a small shopping area; approaching the storefront, I was greeted with a line and quickly learned that you place your order first and then your meal is served to you. The wait to place an order wasn't too long, probably like 10 minutes. The interior is small, there are maybe like 6 to 8 tables plus several more outside. The decor is minimal with bright, neutral tones. They have a pretty extensive menu, separated into breakfast and lunch sections. It was around noon, so I looked at their lunch sandwiches and their Chicken Pesto stood out to me the most. In addition to the chicken, the sandwich contained arugula, sun-dried tomatoes, provolone, and pesto on toasted sourdough. The sandwich was good - all the flavors worked well together and remained intact despite multiple bites. They also served us one of their complimentary Billy Cakes (pancakes) - it had an interesting consistency and was quite tasty. Service was good - everyone was super friendly and welcoming. I was particularly impressed with the server running the dishes as she was able to effectively multitask and handle all the tables outside. My only criticism was the wait time for our food - before placing our order we were told it was going to be about 45 minutes. I appreciate them setting expectations but still it seemed a little long for breakfast and lunch food. Overall though, I had a good meal at Little Billy's; I can see why this place is so popular and would definitely return if I found myself in Newport Beach again.

A must for an all American breakfast while in Newport! Great menu, easy ordering and quick service! Highly recommend the breakfast burrito, pancakes were delish and love the small cozy feel. Beware lines outside grow fairly quickly! Had to miss breakfast here on a Sunday bc of the line and come back on Monday!

Yum yum yummy Breaky!! Went on a Thursday morning and it was busy but we got a table for 4 inside. Street parking was also available but busy as well. Order at the counter and find a seat!! Service was so great! Thankful for the 2 peeps running the show on a busy morning. Def will be back to try some other goodies on the menu:) STRAWBERRY AND CREAM PANCAKES *chefs kiss*

Wanted a solid breakfast burrito on a Sunday morning, and after having a hard time finding the right spot, we came across Little Billy's and decided to give it a try. The moment we got there, we saw how packed it was, which honestly made us even more excited. From the start, the customer service was excellent. Billy himself was there going from table to table, checking in on everyone, making sure food was good, and refilling drinks. His energy and kindness felt so genuine. You can tell he really cares and works hard to create a great experience. We originally came for the breakfast burrito, but the menu looked way too good to stop there, so we also ordered the cinnamon pancakes and the lox bagel. Everything was absolutely delicious. We had to get coffee and orange juice too, and it all made for the perfect brunch. We even made a point to personally compliment Billy on the menu and the overall atmosphere of his spot. Huge thanks to Billy and his staff for such a perfect Sunday morning brunch.

The staff was all super nice and truly welcoming. The ambience of a small diner was cute. The food was decent! The simple kid's pancakes actually tasted a bit better than the adult chocolate chip pancake! Both were good, but simplicity won out in the end. The chicken BLT was also good. Nothing groundbreaking but overall solid. The bacon was a bit overdone for my taste but that might be personal preference. Overall, I'd definitely recommend it if you're in the area. But wouldn't necessarily recommend making it a special stop

Wifey and I checked this spot out after a nearby Doctors appointment. Awesome service and friendly staff. Food was great as well. I had the Tex Mex Burrito and a single Billy cake chocolate chips. Everything was sooo good. Wifey has a gluten allergy and she had the gluten free pancakes, eggs and sausage. She loves her food. Place is busy and not a lot of seating.

As a trio of jaded, almost-graduating PhD gremlins who have seen too many R-squared values and not enough sunlight (plus a Master's grad wife of my friend -- an honorary PhD empath), I do not enter breakfast establishments lightly. I enter them as a woman who has survived This place? Healed something. My fellow senior PhD cryptids and I shuffled in looking like we had just crawled out of a structural equation model. Cortisol high. Hope low. Hair questionable. My dog, exhausted emotionally supporting me for the last 3 years. The owner? Immediate warmth. Sir. I almost cried into my coffee. Very few people have talked to me like that. "Thank you for coming in!" Until then i've been standing infront of my computer debating burning my entire wardrobe, just to watch something alight with vigor. The food? Listen. When you've been running on imposter syndrome, coffee, protein shake, and a pinch of rustic cut cheese, breakfast becomes sacred. I got the billy's pancakes with cinnamon. Crispy on the edges, a thicker crepe, just pure joy. cold brew: smooth but also strong enough to resuscitate a dissertation chapter. But what really hit? The vibe. It felt like a place where: * You can be mid-burnout (or existential crises multiplied by the resistance of the job market) and still be welcomed. * You can laugh about academia instead of crying about academia. * Then, the next second, talk about something so low in IQ that people might judge us in any other place. BUT not at Billy's. We stayed longer than planned because, for once, no one was asking us for accomplishments, and instead got to talk about the state of the grad housing and sharing what kind of mushrooms we see growing in our apt). To the owner: thank you for feeding three emotionally crispy PhD candidate plus a friends wife who has now seen all of us breakdown (thank you and shoutout to you). To future diners: come hungry. Come tired. Bring your dog. Bring your existential dread. They'll handle at least two of those things. Would return. Would defend. TLDR: A dissertation-era raccoon who found temporary peace in pancakes and friendly staff

Food here was great. Had the double smash cheeseburger and the eggs Benedict. Taste was spot on. Burger came with Kettle chips. No complaints. Straightforward and no frills. Service was good and fast, they cleaned the tables up fast enough and food came fast enough. The dining area is about 24 seats inside and another 16 outside. Outside south facing so it could get you some Vitamin D if you wish. Near the coast so can get some oceans breezes. Met Billy. He was on point and takes care of PR and business. Runs the business well. He even doled out a few pancakes to the patrons. Very nice and delish! Short story - he has been chasing diner and pancakes his whole life. Soooo coool! Overall, not surprised that this place gets the ratings! Verdict - yes! Breakfast and Brunch!

Good Question .... When I went there I did not see any pets inside however there is an outside area where you can sit. I suggest the best thing to do is give them a call to make sure before you take your fur baby there.🥰

Do you take reservations for large parties?

I ordered the steak and eggs, berries and cream Matcha, and the cookie dough banana bread. My total was about $45. Steak & eggs: 8/10; these portions were big and perfect. The steak had flavor. Tater tots were crispy. Sourdough bread was soft but crunchy on the outside. Eggs were over easy. Berries & cream matcha: 8.5/10; I actually really enjoyed this Matcha. Not sure why it came in a smaller cup than what my cousin ordered, but maybe because I said light ice? I think that is something that should have been mentioned to me that I would get a smaller cup. Otherwise, I liked this matcha a lot. Cookie dough Banana bread: 9/10; this was so good, so soft, so fresh. The only thing I wish is that I would be able to taste more of the cookie dough. I was a bit confused where the cookie dough was at in this banana bread. There were times where I did taste it, but I wasn't too sure. However, it did have lots of flavor and I would probably get the banana bread alone. Overall, I would return. There was a line formed outside around 10:30 AM, so I definitely recommend getting there early. This was even on a Tuesday morning. So it seems like the line forms no matter the day.

When you enter, the location is huge! Tons of tables and seating. Nice! People are working, hanging out, and enjoying their food and drinks. I ordered a churro latte half sweet and a deluxe avocado toast. The latte was delicious. Sweetness level was just right for me. I don't like super sweet drinks. The avocado toast was also great. There was so much flavor from the egg and bacon and seasonings. It was a little hard to eat out of the to go container, but I made it work. It could easily be shared depending how hungry you are. I love that I didn't feel rushed here. It seems they expect people to come and hang out for awhile. Can't wait to return! I'm eyeing the biscuit and a matcha next time.

Inside is a café inspired by natural accents with an industrial flair giving a rustic character with modern style. The vibe inside is chill with plenty of seating for groups or singles. They have an expansive list of coffee, tea, and lattes with several modifiers to choose from. To accompany your drink the menu provides options of sandwiches, bagels, and a variety of pastries. I had the smoked salmon bagel, featuring delicate slices of salmon layered over cream cheese spread, topped with capers and fresh chives. This is my go to for coffee houses that offer it. The bagel exceeded my expectations and I believe the chive's subtle flavor complemented the smoked salmon really well. For drinks we tried the chai and hot chocolate. The iced chai latte was smooth and not too sweet with a dusting of cinnamon on top, but I would rate it average in taste. The hot chocolate was deliciously velvety and detailed beautifully. I would rate it a five out of five! The difference at this coffee shop is that you can choose from a range of seating arrangements and have an opportunity to support the business by picking up clothing, a bag of coffee or other merchandise. The con for this coffee shop is that the beverages are somewhat undersized relative to the price point. In addition, the customer service experience fell short. We were greeted upon entering, but it was unclear where customers should retrieve their order or whether orders numbers were called out. With that said, those looking for a quiet morning coffee or a cozy place to catch up with friends, this spot can accommodate.

The morning melt is also really good. So many flavors from the egg, turkey, and arugula. Next time I'll opt for the sauce on the side and put a little less so it's not so drippy. Still super tasty! Thanks for providing a relaxing vibe :)

Despite being relatively close to two major colleges - OCC and UCI - this place wasn't as crowded as you'd imagine it would be. They serve coffee, matcha, breakfast foods like breakfast burritos, protein bowls, avocado toasts - but I didn't pick anything to eat since I already had lunch. I shared with the barista that it was my first time here, and he asked what type of drink I was looking for. I told him something iced and caffeinated - and he mentioned his favorite was the Honey Cinnamon Latte - which I opted for - iced, with oat milk. Total was $8.50 including tip. My iced Honey Cinnamon Latte was yummy, creamy, and fantastic! With the oat milk substitute, it sorta tasted like Cinnamon Toast Crunch in liquid coffee form. It wasn't overly sweet, definitely had a nice kick to it - love this recommendation by the barista! I checked out the rest of the space and used their restroom to wash my hands - it's really a neat space here. Lots of seating. Lots of space. There's an adjacent room that's connected to the cafe called "Flow Space" - which is utilized for small popups and arts & crafts. Neat spot for smaller community members to showcase their wares. Some of the other reviews mentioned no a/c - which had me worried considering we were having a bit of a heatwave lately - but to my pleasant surprise, A/C was on and cold! It was a great escape from the heat. Free wifi - fast enough for a zoom call if you need to hop into one - my speedtest reported download speeds of 17.5MB/s Restroom is clean and well maintained. Plenty of parking - of course, I stopped by a little after 2pm, so already avoiding the tail end of the lunch rush. Only downside is they close kinda early - 4pm - but open up at 7am. Great spot! Will probably be my go-to considering there's ample workspace, plenty of parking, less crowded than other coffee spots in the immediate area. I'm curious to try their matcha the next time I'm here, as well as possibly their breakfast burritos, since photos for that looks delicious.

The drinks were great and I didn't have to wait on them too long. I got a shakerato and a matcha latte and they were both good. You also get a little discount if you're walking, biking, or boarding to the shop and getting something. The only negative I have to say is that I think a cycling club stages from here on the weekend so the parking lot does get busy inside and out. Overall, I'd recommend this place and will return again.

This year specifically, I've noticed a couple of things that have made my experience go severely downhill. I've visited about five times, expecting to grab my favorite toast of theirs that I've had for years (Pan Con Tomate) and they have been out consistently back to back of that item. I've literally tried 3 separate times and been told they simply ran out of tomatoes. If it's that inconsistent, I'd hope they'd take it off their menu and post it as a special. But what bothers me the most is that the service is so nonchalant that it comes off as rude. No greeting, smile, positive energy.. giving off a vibe that they'd rather be anywhere else than behind the coffee bar. Sad to see the experience decline as it's been a favorite of mine and somewhere i always have hyped up to friends. Hopefully things pick up.
