I have just started going to see Dr Tara Pierce. In just a month I felt very different. I was given her name by a friend to try her out and see if she can help my husband and I. We have been trying to have a baby and just has not been working out for us. We both wanted to try natural and not a bunch of drugs and shots. Dr. Pierce has helped me tremendously as I have suffered from shin and calf pain for several years now. I am a college athlete and am constantly running with shin-splint like pain and unbearable tightness in my calves. Dr. Tara Pierce is AMAZING!! I started seeing her just for routine visits about 3 years ago but then experienced a car accident that increased my visits. Dr. Tara works magic. Honestly. She takes the time to ask you how you feel and then targets those areas during your session. I have been visiting chiropractors most of my life but Dr. Tara is not like any other I have frequented. She uses a massage method along with adjustments that makes a HUGE difference. Most chiropractors just snap, crackle or pop your back in 5 min and you're done, not Dr. Tara. A friend recommended that I go see Dr. Pierce. For five years, I have had severe chronic lower back pain due to osteoarthritis at a young age. I've tried everything - minor surgery, physical therapy exercises (which I still do), regular exercise, acupuncture, stand-up desk, etc. and needed help in pain management. I've been disappointed by other chiropractors who have been against PT or have not been very knowledgable of certain medical conditions. This was not the case with Dr. Pierce. When I explained my long history, she immediately knew and understood the diagnoses and the treatments. She also was able to interpret my MRIs and X-rays with ease. After seeing her for three months, she has helped support my physical therapy exercises, corrected some of them, added others and spent time correcting my posture for the long-term. In addition to this, she regularly helps get rid of scar tissue in the area where I have the arthritic pain using enhanced massage (Graston technique). She was easy to schedule with, sent me a reminder, checked my insurance upon request the day before my exam, sent me the needed new patient paperwork in advance, took the time to listen and ask questions regarding my issues, and took a gentle/holistic approach to resolving my issues. She sent me home with a plan (exercises) to strengthen the small muscles needed to hold me in place more efficiently, and I'm incredibly satisfied! I have a very active lifestyle (retired ballerina that still performs, plus yoga twice a week, pilates twice a week, biking four times a week and long distance running twice a week) and I was able to get back into my routine after a simple adjustment.
