I've gone to them a few times -- for tire plugs when I had slow leaks and to get TPMS sensors (the part that gets put onto the valve stems so the car can monitor tire pressure.) In every case, it was always "just come on in any time before 7" and they got to me really quickly -- usually no wait. Very affordable and the tire plugs have held up. As noted above, cash only, but I think the tire plugs were like $40 and the TPMS sensors were $75 apiece so it wasn't any problem to run over to Jewel and use the cash machine. read more

He saved me today. I was going in to get both front tires balanced because I had steering wheel shaking over 50. After he took it off, he showed me a tire with a big BIG bubble in it. The tire repair place on Clark/Devon area that I treasured so much broke my confidence when stiffed me by giving me a very bad tire with a bubble in it which is why I couldn't go over 50 on the highway. He sold me a very very good used tire & then balanced both of them for free. I'm now going to him for all my tire needs. He's a sweetheart--and a keeper. You have to get to his back garage by going around to another street heading west then go thru the alley to get to him. AND BRING CASH. Came out in the morning to a screw in my tire. After a short Google search, I found this place and was glad I did. I pulled up and he had the car up on a jack and the tire off within two minutes. I love this family business. Hard working, and speedy. I stopped by because I was having a slow leak in a tire. They asked me to just pull the car in the back. They have a camera so if you do pull in the back and they are not out there they'll be out momentarily. They told me to go have a seat inside the shop. They immediately removed the tire and found a nail and repaired it promptly. I think I was in and out of there in less than 10 minutes. And the cost was less than $20. They put the wrong size tires on my car and then tried to tell me that they were the same size as what had been on my car previously (which was untrue). The owner was extremely disrespectful, made a million excuses, and clearly assumed I didn't know anything about tires and that he could pull one over on me. In the end, I explained to him that I usually go to Costco for my tires, but that I went to him because I wanted to support a local business - and specifically a Latinx business, because I am Latina. PSA: GO HERE! I purchased a brand new 2023 Kia Niro a couple of months ago. This past weekend I discovered a minor tire issue so I took it into the dealership. Those idiots refused to fix it and quoted me $315 for a brand new tire. Not once did I receive a dashboard alert or even an app notification that the air pressure was off/deflated. Instead, I took it to Ocana and within 15 minutes my tire was repaired and it was soo minor that they did it for free! Whenever I go to a auto shop I always have to worry if I'm being overcharged because of my gender but at Ocana they are transparent & honest! I always go here for tires. I used to go from a Toyota, and now I go for my Volkswagen. Dealerships charge way too much, as do the corporate tire shops. At times that you really don't want to or can't spend, just tell them. They'll actually put used tires on your car. I know that doesn't exactly sound appealing, but when a person is in a bind, getting lightly-used tires is not a bad idea. I am a huge fan of places that will break the rules a little bit. So a place like this gets major points with me. Turnaround time is not too bad either. If they don't have something go get it within a few hours. Seems that they can get anything you want.
