If you've never had your brows done and are nervous... DON'T BE! I've never had mine done before (well once threaded that was a horrible experience) but this was wonderful. As I've aged mine have gotten thinner and grayer. Lynn took the time to consult, explain, and put my mind at ease. She worked on my brows, plucking, shaping, and tinting them to something I was very happy with. My eyebrows look better than they have in years (decades/ever?). My one stop shop for beauty, fashion, and skin care!  I had a reaction to lash extensions from another provider, but when I started coming to Occhi, Lynn was able to prevent that from happening with high quality, USA produced adhesives and other techniques.  Lynn also did an amazing job with ombre brows. This is the only place I trust with my lash extensions. I live in Chicago and it a quite a trek to travel to Oak Brook bi-weekly for a fill, but it is well worth it!! She is quick and efficient, yet super talented. She really understands what looks best on each eye shape and caters your lash extensions to your unique eye. I don't understand how this place has such great reviews. I was a first timer to this facility in March and left very disappointed. First, they charge an obscene amount for a lift and tint (I literally just got it done today for half the price at a clean and QUIET shop with better results). Second, the woman (whom I will spare any embarrassment by not naming) who did my lashes was talking the entire time to her coworker and laughing loudly and honestly was just obnoxious AND even bumped the table I was on at one point without apologizing. She got solution in my eyes which made them burn (although I took it like a champ) and didn't clean my eye area up properly when I left. I had to clean it when I got home because I looked like a raccoon. It also was a weird experience as other customers are near you getting things done as well. It just wasn't comforting or relaxing at all. In the end I didn't get my normal lift results as I do elsewhere so I guess shame on me for giving this overpriced and snobbish facility a chance. Funny enough I found out from the other place I went to today that she has heard similar experiences from other clients. This prompted me to write my honest review to let others know what can potentially happen at Occhi. Occhi, you can respond with whatever excuse you'd like but note that I will definitely not be back to your shop. Extremely disappointed. It would not have made a difference by "talking to someone" about my experience since you pretty much get one shot with this industry and if you do it wrong the first time you just don't get that clientele. Talking to a manager would not have changed my horrible experience. Maybe train your girls to focus on the customer paying a little bit too much for a service that can be done for a more reasonable price at a more customer friendly facility AND with better results. I will be supporting solo esthetician's elsewhere instead of wasting my money here. read more

I am a client of Occhi Lash for 2 years now. The estheticians are very skilled and well trained. The place itself is clean and nicely designed. I always book appointment with Shelly and she is great! Shelly is nice and very attentive, she does my lashes exactly how I want them. And if for some reason I can't schedule with her she always makes sure that whoever will be doing my lashes knows how I like them and she gives the other ladies guidance. Went there to get a lash lift. Accidentally pulled into the wrong parking lot (the one behind the building) which is for permit only no biggie I called and asked where to go. The lady was super nice and explained which one was the correct lot. Got there, the place is super nice and clean. They have a very sweet dog that walks around. It made my entire day getting to pet a dog. I had Christie or Christina (can't remember exactly) do my lash lift I think. She was very sweet and since it was my first time getting this done, she explained everything to me and answered my questions. It took about an hour to do the whole process. It was very nice getting to talk to her and she walked me through each step she was doing. My eyes did sting and water a little bit because of the fumes but she warned me before and wasn't anything I wasn't expecting. Lashes look amazing and the other clients there (assuming regulars) seemed very happy and like they know their person well and enjoyed their time there. Price is very reasonable compared to many other lash studios. I really liked this place and will be going back to get another lash lift in a few weeks before I start school. 10/10 would recommend this studio to anyone. read more

I had gotten a brow tint and I was told it was last 3-4 weeks. Within the second day, it was already very faded. After 5 days, the tint was gone. The customer service was good, however the brow tint was not worth the money. If I had know the tint would be gone within less than a week, I would not have gotten it. Would not recommend if you are looking for a long lasting brow tint. read more

The response left by the owner shows exactly why I won't return. I never asked for my eyebrows to be square. I showed Katie how they were uneven with a mirror. She said well your eyebrows aren't even to begin with. That was the entire purpose of the extensions! She asked do I want the beginning hairs to go straight or at an angle I told her whatever looked the most natural. She took it upon herself to add the extra hairs toward the front that fell off within two days. This studio and service is AMAZING! My lashes really look incredible. I was so shocked by how great they feel as well. It doesn't even feel like I have mascara on. My eyelashes are now long, lush, natural, and beautiful. I highly recommend this salon....especially if you are looking for the best. The salon space is gorgeous and welcoming....as is the staff. 5-star all the way. :) I had eyelash extensions done once before and it wasn't a great experience. The lashes were uncomfortable and going sideways. Occhi was SO different. Well worth the money. I want to get my brows laser tinted next. If I had a special event (black tie/wedding) I would try the real hair brows. I think they call them Hi-brow...super cool, but they only last less than a week...so I couldn't maintain that...but perfect for an occasion when you want to look your absolute best. You will love this salon and service. I haven't tried any of their facials (they call they "eye la carte") but they look fantastic as well. Love this place! read more

Review based on Occhi Institute: I have inquired several times about lashing and eyebrow classes here. The work looks great and the reviews matched. I decided I would go here. I spoke with "Mr. T" on numerous occasions about pricing and even though I did fall through on several occasions, it was pretty difficult to come up with $5,000+ to pay all up front before class which is a requirement here. This "school" is NOT accredited, therefore Financial Aid or payment options are not an option here. I recently gathered up all I would need for classes and reached out again to see if rates where still the same. I did mention that I was looking at another school that included what Occhi teaches and more(giving me the capability of working in a plastic surgeon office). Mr. T remembers me and sounded extremely agitated that I mentioned another school. He stated that "he didn't care what school I went to" and that "nobody teaches lashes in a half day". This came about because I inquired on a half day class as they have some listed on their site. I wasn't expecting such an aggressive response. Then he went on to say "You do not qualify for any brow classes" as I have to be a cosmetologists, but this was never mentioned when he gave me a 5+ grand quote that included brow classes. I was very confused because I somehow qualified to tattoo eyebrows (microblading) in which I would probably have to tweeze, wax and pluck before tattooing. But I don't qualify for a brow class that waxes, tweeze, trim, tint and glue hairs to existing brows, I need a cosmetology license for that? He went on to say when he would need funds by and that classes were basically almost full. I believe Mr. T meant no harm but the phone call left me with an uneasy feeling. I didn't like how I now all of a sudden didnt qualify for a certain class. It was a huge deal breaker and I should probably go to an accredited school where I can get the most education for my money. Occhi is great if you are ALREADY licensed, for continuing education. It is probably not so ideal for newcomers. read more
