It sits on the corner of Washington and Raymond Avenue. While there's one-hour parking on Washington, Raymond seems to offer unlimited parking (other than street cleaning days)--the friendly, helpful barista directed me over there. Inside, it's a tranquil, clean and comfortable environment that mixes contemporary touches with brick industrial vibes. I'm in my cream top era, so I decided to get their Trademark Cream Top Latte, which uses cold brew and house made cream with a hint of brown sugar. The drink was smooth and not too sweet and, all in all, extremely enjoyable. Next time, I might try the Salted Caramel Cream Top Latte. I was warned it was a bit sweeter, but I'd like to see for myself. Wi-Fi seems solid, and there are plenty of outlets (yay!), so this was a great work spot. But I ordered a flat white and it tasted like filtered water with a dash of coffee. There was absolutely no flavor and could barely taste the coffee. Andante was nearby and in my bookmarks, so we walked over. The store is very small, no seating except for a few chairs right outside. Definitely a grab and go spot. There was one barista doing everything and boy was he hustling hard! I ordered the andante (somehow still in my cream top phase) and my fiance got Ethiopia pour over. Prices were exceptional - to the point where we both agreed that their price for a pour over is significantly lower than a lot of other roasters out there. My drink was smooth, creamy, and could really taste the maple syrup come through from the sweet cold brew. Wish I got a sip of the pour over before someone inhaled theirs, but he did say he liked this coffee better than Kumquat! gasp. One of my favorite coffee shops we've visited recently. Kinda wish we grabbed a bag of beans too.. but will definitely be back!

There are also street parking but can be difficult to cross the street due to cars driving by so quickly without a pedestrian crosswalk on one side. I ordered their signature drink which was the orange espresso tonic with one extra shot for my husband, and the double mango matcha for myself. Both of us really enjoyed the drinks, especially the orange espresso tonic. It was refreshing, clean, and easy to drink. Normally, they include double shots of espresso, which may have tasted stronger for me since my husband wanted three shots, and I usually stick with two shots. The double mango matcha uses fresh fruit syrup so the mango flavor was not too strong and my drink was very creamy due to the signature mango cream on top. Usually, I would enjoy a creamy matcha but it made me more thirsty on a hot day. The service took a bit of time since they had to mix my matcha the legit way with the bamboo whisk. Nestled in a charming converted cottage, this cozy café is the perfect addition to Downtown Ventura. When I stopped by over the weekend, they were insanely busy so I wasn't able to capture much of the space itself for photos but I can promise you it's a cute spot. We opted for outside table dining and it was lovely. To order you stand in line and then order at the counter, they'll bring the food back to your table, but they will call you up to grab your drinks. We ordered a couple of iced lattes and their famous Bella Rose - iced matcha, which was absolutely gorgeous and just as delicious. 10/10. Their drinks are truly little works of art and always worth ordering. To finish off brunch, we grabbed a couple of bagels. One of my favorites is their toasted bagel with tomato, avocado, and cream cheese, it's simple and so satisfying. Next time I'll be trying one of their fruit bowls. While you certainly can come here for lattes and matcha, what jumped out at us were their offerings of light roasted, single origin, pour over coffees in their "emerald class". I went with their light roasted "la reserva" pour over, which had nice tea-like flavors. Because they lightly roast their beans and hand pour the coffee through a V60 filter, the fruity and tea-like notes of the beans pop out in ways you can't find in dark roasts brewed through a machine. We may come by to get a latte one of these days; however, I do also want to come back to try more of their "emerald series" pour overs!
