    Decaf vanilla oat latte
    Deisy R.

Yum! I ordered an iced vanilla latte and it was quite delicious! There were several people working on their laptops but there was still space to sit and wait for your drink. Service was fast and efficient, good prices - would definitely return.

We intended to go to Mai Tea two doors down but they have the oddest hours. We had passed right by and my friend commented on how he hadn't had a good cup of coffee in a while so we pivoted. I walked in and saw the menu and said "I've definitely seen this place on Instagram before." Their menu is pretty customizable and there are some elevated versions of classic drinks. I got an iced latte, and the latte was kind of milky and didn't have a particularly strong flavor profile. My friend got a pastry but it was dry and not heated enough so I'd pass on that.

Got a latte w/o syrup or flavoring here on a walk with my dog. Quality espresso that you can taste in the latte drink. I returned after picking up a few things from Urban Pet, and asked what beans they used. Turns out, their own espresso beans! I surely bought one. Thanks Jake! Latte was bomb.

I got an espresso. It was a darker roast with light texture, mild acidity, and notes of citrus.

Coffee is Great .. local shop, friendly to dogs, Owner works it and he's really cool. I love the 8th&grand - espresso, oat milk and maple- delicious. .Wow can't believe i haven't reviewed. This is my fav and only place I'll pay for coffee in downtown, it's too cool.

I've been here a few times during my walks downtown and fell in love with the Spanish latte. I definitely recommend if you want a coffee that is not too sweet, still has a coffee taste, and has a slight cinnamon flavor. Typically anything with cinnamon can be too overpowering, but this is perfect. I order my coffee iced and with regular milk. The service is always quick and welcoming. This coffee shop is small and cute. I love how this shop is a little hole in the wall spot in DTLA. After enjoying a coffee you can walk down a few blocks more to target, Sephora, Nordstrom rack, H&M, and Zara. Whole Foods is next door and places to eat are near by as well.

Small coffee shop in DTLA with amazing espresso drinks. Ordered an iced Spanish latte with whole milk -- drink was perfectly rich, smooth, and not too sweet. Really tiny spot not really a lot of room to sit but will definitely be back for their lattes.

This is hands down my favorite coffee in LA. But it's not just about the coffee -- this place is a whole vibe, a little community where regulars recognize each other and share a smile. The outdoor seating is super cozy -- perfect for slowing down, people-watching, and savoring a hot oat milk latte with a chocolate pastry (which, by the way, are amazing -- but get there early, they sell out fast!). The barista is the best -- such a great guy, he's become a friend to us over time. We truly love this place. It's our go-to spot for a reason.

Andante in DTLA is a hidden gem and one of my favorite neighborhood spots. It's walking distance from my place, which makes it super convenient--but what really keeps me coming back is the amazing quality & customer service. Jay is always friendly and welcoming, and truly cares about creating a great experience. Their pastries are delicious, and the coffee? Unmatched. I'd choose this place over a Starbucks any day--not just because I love supporting small businesses, but because the quality here is on another level. The shop itself is small with a cool, stylish vibe, and they've got a great little outdoor area that's perfect for relaxing with a coffee and pastry.

So I looked for a coffee spot closer to the restaurant at which I could do some work. Alibi Coffee is only 10-15 minutes from the restaurant, which made it a good candidate--and off I went. It sits on the corner of Washington and Raymond Avenue. While there's one-hour parking on Washington, Raymond seems to offer unlimited parking (other than street cleaning days)--the friendly, helpful barista directed me over there. Inside, it's a tranquil, clean and comfortable environment that mixes contemporary touches with brick industrial vibes. I'm in my cream top era, so I decided to get their Trademark Cream Top Latte, which uses cold brew and house made cream with a hint of brown sugar. The drink was smooth and not too sweet and, all in all, extremely enjoyable. Next time, I might try the Salted Caramel Cream Top Latte. I was warned it was a bit sweeter, but I'd like to see for myself. Wi-Fi seems solid, and there are plenty of outlets (yay!), so this was a great work spot. I'd definitely return anytime I needed to be in this area.

This was one of the closer coffee spot with good reviews that I found near the kbbq place (Seogwan by Yellow Cow Kbbq) my family and I ate at for lunch. It was about 0.5miles (3 mins drive). The coffee shop is super large, bright, and has nice background music. There are plenty of seats for people to hang out or study. There are also street parking but can be difficult to cross the street due to cars driving by so quickly without a pedestrian crosswalk on one side. I ordered their signature drink which was the orange espresso tonic with one extra shot for my husband, and the double mango matcha for myself. Both of us really enjoyed the drinks, especially the orange espresso tonic. It was refreshing, clean, and easy to drink. Normally, they include double shots of espresso, which may have tasted stronger for me since my husband wanted three shots, and I usually stick with two shots. The double mango matcha uses fresh fruit syrup so the mango flavor was not too strong and my drink was very creamy due to the signature mango cream on top. Usually, I would enjoy a creamy matcha but it made me more thirsty on a hot day. The service took a bit of time since they had to mix my matcha the legit way with the bamboo whisk. The matcha tasted like premium, ceremonial matcha since it was stronger and authentic in taste. Overall, both drinks were enjoyable but if I had to choose one, I would go with the orange espresso tonic even though I love mango matcha!

If you plan to sit here, there's a one-drink-per-person minimum. The café itself is aesthetic and filled with natural light. The drink has that bitter matcha flavor, which I'm usually okay with, but this one wasn't very smooth. It left an aftertaste that I didn't enjoy.

I think there's only 4 or 5 dedicated parking spots available out front so you'll likely have to street park unless you get lucky. It can be difficult to find as the entrance is more on Santa Fe than it is on Mateo. I ordered an iced chai latte and my date ordered a pour over. I think he was pretty satisfied with his drink but my drink was mediocre. Chai lattes are my go-to so it's easy for me to compare and the drink here just doesn't have as much flavor as I expected and tasted watery. Not itching to return but if I did, I'd order an açaí bowl or a pastry as those seem pretty good.
